Author's POV
VOLTERRA
An extremely beautiful blonde-haired girl was overseeing the transfer of messages; her face was like a porcelain doll, but the chilling indifference in her eyes was enough to freeze hell. A handsome black-haired man blurred out of nowhere before holding the palm of the girl.
"Brother," the girl said, the chill in her eyes melting.
"Sister, how is the work going?" The boy asked with a small nod, his eyes showing love too.
"Hmph." With a snort, the girl took her arm away.
"Are you teasing me?, Alec" asked.
"How can I dare to?" Alec replied with a wry smile.
The message-carrying van left the Volturi complex slowly, while the siblings stood in silence, both of them knowing this was a waste of time.
"Do you think they will come?" Alec asked.
"Do you think they will even believe us?" Jane countered with another question.
"They will eventually," Alec replied.
"Aro's image hasn't been good in the past millenia; people see him as a power-hungry maniac rather than the rule-keeper.". Jane commented
"Supernatural races have forgotten the terror of Volturi; we have barely left Italy in the last seven hundred years; it's time to make them remember what Volturi stand for." Alec remarked
"Get to the point, brother; you know how much I hate this drama of yours," Jane replied while glaring holes in Alec's head.
"Aro wants us to go to the remaining major covens and rally them all here." Alec dropped the news. Jane's eyes slowly widen in disbelief.
"No one will come," Jane replied while scoffing.
"Hmm, also, he wants us to kill Jason," Alec replied.
"We have one of the strongest gifts among all vampires; if anyone can do it, then it's us," Alec continued.
"Hmm, brother, you didn't get mind controlled by that bitch Heidi, right?" Jane asked.
"You broke my heart, sister; do you believe only this much in your brother?" Alec replied
Jane looked away from his sarcastic eyes. Looking at the setting sun, she felt her own heart sink. Alec slowly walked closer before he hugged her, rubbing his hair with hers—the trick that calms both the twins down, their bond tempered through the last thousand years, from being burned alive to now.
"It's an order," Alec said while rubbing Jane's back.
Jane blurred out of the hug, leaving Alec standing alone in the compound.
Volturi throne room
"Is it the right decision?" Markus asked the duo.
"Since when are you worried about anything? All you care about is dying," Caius snarked.
Aro stood still on the balcony, his ears picking up on their squabbles. Not interfering this time, he slowly raised his arm over the railing before he threw something hard.
"Woosh"
The object tore through the air, seemingly wanting to visit the void, before it broke apart and disappeared on the horizon.
"Time to move on," Aro muttered.
"Goodbye, Sulpicia."
Aro blurred inside the throne room, and the duo finally became quiet. A haunting silence continued in the throne room before the throne room's door opened.
An extremely beautiful vampire made her way inside, like the word beauty itself was made for her, her every move elegant, and her figure and face seemingly capable of even charming the coldest of hearts.
"It's done, my lord," Heidi replied with a bow, her excess bust peeking from her loose robes.
"Good work," Aro replied without turning around, seemingly having no interest in this world toppling beauty.
The charming figure soon disappeared in a blur of shadows, leaving the throne room as quiet as before.
"If they find out, they might rebel," Markus said, showing his concern.
"They won't have any time to spare." Caius remarked
"What next, Aro?" Caius asked, ignoring Markus.
"We have already played our parts; let's see what happens next," Aro commented.
"How's the preparation going?" Aro asked.
"Everything is going well," Caius replied.
"Woosh" The duo disappeared, leaving Aro to contemplate.
