Chapter 13 - CHAPTER 13- Reactions and Undercurrents Part 3

Italy, Volterra

Author POV

A group of humans covered in all kinds of tattoos and piercings were following behind a charming beauty with dazed eyes, today being their unlucky day. As they slowly followed to the monster's maw, Heidi, the charming beauty, showed a brilliant smile, telling the circumstances of every human to the vampires on the way.

"This one's an addict," Heidi said to a handsome vampire.

"Good, I love the taste of cocaine in their blood," the vampire replied while licking his lips and scanning the crowd.

"This one's a rapist," Heidi continued, explaining like she was talking about merchandise and not living beings.

"Good," replied another vampire while laughing.

"What about that one?" asked another vampire with joy flashing in her eyes.

Heidi stopped all of a sudden, putting her hands on her curvaceous hips. She pouted and asked

"How did you find out?".

The beautiful vampire only chuckled and then quickly disappeared in the shadows.

Heidi shook her head and continued to the throne room. The mob behind them had no idea of the horrifying fate that had befallen them.

On the way, she was joined by another vampire, who had already picked his target from the crowd.

"The harvest this time is quite good," Afton said.

"Since the twins are not present, maybe I can have an extra drink," Afton continued with a smile.

"Sure, you can, darling, but you need to pay the price," Heidi replied while brushing her nose with his.

"Boom"

"Bang"

"Bitch, stay away from my mate." Chelsea appeared and slammed Heidi into the wall, making spiderweb cracks appear, which continued spreading, making it look like the whole tunnel would collapse, but eventually stopped.

"Tsk," Heidi corrected her robes while glaring at Chelsea.

In the end, Afton gave an apologetic smile towards Heidi and soon disappeared along with Chelsea.

"This bitch, just because of her valuable gift, thinks she can do anything; soon I will let her know the consequences," Heidi muttered while her crimson eyes glowed ominously.

"Well, time for lunch," Heidi muttered while she entered the throne room.

Soon after lunch, the Volturi guards got together to train, while the rest engaged in hand-to-hand combat. Heidi was nowhere to be seen; the others expected it and continued training.

In a dark corner of one of the tunnels, Heidi was engaged in salacious acts with another vampire.

Heidi, who can mind-control others, considers training useless; she will instead spend time engaged in these acts.

With a grunt, the man separated from Heidi, but Heidi held him close, not letting him leave yet.

"What's gotten into you?" the man asked while he broke free.

"I am worried about the future," Heidi replied.

The man chuckled, his shrill voice almost shaking the age-old tunnel.

"Since when the enchantress is worried," the man remarked.

The man crouched down, meeting Heidi's sight. He gave her a passionate kiss.

"Don't worry, I will take care of you," the man said before he disappeared into darkness, leaving Heidi alone.

"Oh, I know," Heidi muttered with a wicked smile on her charming face. Gone was her worried look; her face was completely expressionless, like the carved statue of the goddess of beauty.

Heidi walked along the tunnel, touching the old walls, her nails leaving an indentation. She walked with such elegance that it made her appear floating before she too disappeared in darkness.
