"It's been 2 months, huh," I spoke to myself.
Skyler went on a mission with some second-year students a few days ago. What a shame!
My training was going extra smoothly with his help too. I hope he returns fast!
I was walking to the exit of the dorm building when I felt someone approaching me from behind using my 'Spatial sense'.
It was Alaia.
"Hi, Wand! Your new sensing ability is really strong huh? I can't even ambush you from behind now!" Alaia said friendly.
"Yes! It took me almost one and a half months to maintain it passively after all! By the way Alaia, how is your training going?"
"It's going good. My uni reserves are at 21% right now. I am still a long way till the second rank."
"Hehe. Mine is at 24%! A whole 3% higher than you! Train harder Alaia!" I said a high and mighty tone.
"You going for breakfast right?" I asked.
"Yeah."
"Then let's go! I have to go to the library after. We both don't have classes today."
"Ok Ok."

After having breakfast the boys walked outside.
"Seriously! What do you read in the library? You always spend two hours there when there are no classes." Alaia questioned Wand.
Wand started rambling enthusiastically. "Hehe, you don't know Alaia! There are so many theories about the soul, pathways, unie, cube, monster, Unie constru—" Alaia cut him off.
"Alright Alright. I understand! I am gonna head to the gym now. You go study! Shoo shoo!"
"Haha, Let's meet later!"
Wand went to the library and picked a book he had yet to finish 'The Complexities of using a spell".
"I will finish this book today! I feel like this knowledge will help me increase my Unie reserves faster!"
"The fight is also gonna happen in five days. I also need to prepare for that, also….." Wand smirked "This book has given me some ideas about another spell. Can't wait to check it out!"
Three days passed normally. At 3 pm, Wand went to Aphos's class.
He and Aphos used to battle almost daily, although Aphos used to hold back a lot.
After opening the door, Wand saw Aphos leaning on a tree with a serious face. Wand could feel the seriousness of the atmosphere.
"Skyler is dead." Wand's mind went blank as Aphos muttered those words.
"What?"
"He went on a mission to kill some ocean monsters near some islands. His clothes were found near the shore. The second year's students returned after their healer died."
"Did they find his corpse?" Wand said blankly.
"No."
"WHAT DO YOU MEAN NO? They were supposed to be second-years! How could they be so weak? I… couldn't even say goodbye to my friend! "Wand shouted.
"Wand… I don't mind you not calling me a teacher but You may not shout at me! Get a grip on yourself!" Aphos said in a serious tone.
"Ok…Ok, I will… but can you tell me where is that island? What is the name of those islands?"Wand said shakily as he tried to calm down.
"Andaman islands. I believe they are on the way to a safe route to your home continent."
"Thank you." Wand said as he walked out.
One had to remember that Wand had spent almost every day of the last two months with Skyler while training. Aphos had called Sykler to his class to help Wand train.
The boys had developed a good friendship and the death of one of them was a serious hit to Wand's mental state.
Wand walked towards the mission hall.
"I will at least make those shitty fishes vomit out his corpse." Resolution flashed through Wand's eyes for a moment.

"Sorry, but you can not take this mission." The receptionist said.
"You need to have at least one Second year student in your group to take this mission. You can take other missions though, We have—"
"No need. I won't take it then." Wand walked out of the mission hall.
Wand was looking at a map in his room.
'I can't make a portal that far with my current Unie reserves. It would have been possible if I was Rank 2.'
'I don't have much money to go there on a boat too….'
'I think I will go to the city —on main continent— nearest to the island the boat can take me, and open a portal.'
'I should be able to open a portal there as I have seen that place once and I also have a map.'
Wand then picked up all his money, and a map and changed his clothes.
He then walked on the bridge, heading towards the capital.
An Unie-enhanced boar was blocking his way.
"I don't have time for this!" Wand gritted his teeth as he teleported above the boar and threw a punch.
He left the boar on the road, dead.
"The academy can't even keep their route to capital safe and well protected. How did I even expect them to bring back Skyler's corpse?" Wand exclaimed with a hint of anger.
Wand finally reached the Totality city. He flashed the academy's badge to the guards as they let him in without any hassle.
Wand asked a random shop owner.
"Excuse me! Do you know where I can find travel agencies for sky boat?"
"Yeah! Just go straight from that way and then turn left at the first junction. After a bit of walking, you will see some travel agencies."
"Thank you." Wand said blandly.
Wand followed the directions and reached a street with many such agencies. He searched for one with the cheapest prices to his destination.
He entered the agency with the name 'Theos's Travel Agency.'
