On an uninhabited island, a portal opened near a beach-like area. A violet-eyed boy came out of the portal and quickly absorbed the portal back in his hand.
"Finally here, huh? The sun will set in about an hour. I will scout the island nearby and search for the main island."
Wand looked around the beach to see some coconut trees.
'I got food here! Now time to scout other islands."
Wand looked towards the ocean, seeing two uninhabited islands nearby.
'Those are probably uninhabited islands. From what I know about these island chains, they consist of ten islands, the biggest of which has people in them.'
'I don't want to enter the biggest island. For the next hour, I will just search for all the ten islands and come back to this one to sleep.'
With that being said, Wand teleported to the nearest two islands and used spatial sense while quickly moving across the island.
'No signs of people here. This one only has some animals.'
Wand went on to fruitlessly search for another island. After that wand went back to the original island and went behind him to see 4 more islands.
He then again searched the four islands without finding anyone.
Even behind the four islands, He found 3 islands. He could see some Huts the biggest of three.
'That island is probably the one! I will quickly scout it!'
Wand then Teleported to a desolate corner of the largest island.
'Teleporting like this is really a waste of unie huh? My unie Was 10% just before but now it's 9%! A whole 1% of the total decrease!'
Wand then kept searching the island. He found about 40 houses most of which were near the port of the island. The port of the island had about 40 small wooden boats.
'I'd better avoid communication with the people. I read that the people here don't trade with the outside world a lot except for trading a luxurious and expensive fish species exclusive to this region.'
Wand was looking at the village from a tall tree. The village had mostly similar houses except for one which was two storeys tall and even had a basement.
The house was the farthest from the shore. Hence, Wand's spatial sense managed to reach the house. He could sense someone—Probably the village leader—going inside the basement.
'Alright! That's enough for today the sun has set I better go back to another island before sleeping.'
Wand originally intended to sleep on the original island but that one was too far away! Skyler was probably killed in the habitated island and the monster that killed Skyler should be near that island.
Wand quickly teleported to the third island from the largest one.
'Don't want to get caught by others by staying on the nearer islands.'
He then found a coconut tree and ate a few coconuts. He found a cave on that island and slept in there by making a bed using dried leaves.

I woke up.
I could hear my bed made out of coconut leaves cracking from my weight.
The alone time last night sure did calm my mind. I shouldn't have screamed at Aphos.
I am not even sure whether I will find Skyler's corpse. Even though I am mad, the monster won't wait for me to digest it.
Nevertheless, I will hunt those sea bastards.
I will kill them! I won't stop until I feel satisfied.
They must be pretty strong to kill Skyler. After all, I used to forcefully make him train whenever he was there to help me.
Well, No use thinking about it now. I will try my best.

The boy stood up and ate some coconuts.
For the day, Wand hunted a total of 12 sea monsters.
They looked like giant pirana fishes but that was about it. A normal punch was good enough to deal with them.
'These monsters are really weak... even the people training their body normally should be able to deal with them. Maybe, those near the main island are stronger.' Wand looked at his fist covered with monster blood.
"Hahhhh!"Wand gasped.
"I will go to the main island at night and steal one boat. Only then will I be able to properly hunt!"
"If I don't find Skyler's corpse I will return after 2 days! Change of plans. I will prepare for the tournament."
'Although, it's a shame that I won't be able to see him for the last time.' Wand looked at the ground, depressed.
At midnight, Wand sneaked into the port of the main island and stole a small wooden boat.
"I wish I could walk on water!" Wand joked.
He drove it such that nobody would be able to see him even if they woke up.
There were some new-looking sea monsters like a squid that had 14 tentacles. Wand had read about this monster they were the species of 'Multi squicales'. From what Wand had read, they had an... interesting social hierarchy.
And, his theory was right. The monsters near this island were in fact stronger but not by much.
It was almost 4 am, and Wand feared that someone might wake up early. So, he carefully docked the boat back.
"Something is wrong... The monsters are too weak to kill Skyler. That squid monster might have had a chance but it doesn't even have any kind of metal or clothing inside its stomach. Its digestive juice shouldn't be able to digest the academy's badge."
Wand ran toward his cave.
'I will investigate it tomorrow.' Wand resolutely said as he drifted into sleep.
"Stranger inside the cave! Please show yourself!" A loud voice woke Wand from his slumber.
