Wand opened the door.
He saw a bed large enough to fit a single person, besides which was a table and a chair. There also was a window alongside a curtain on the top of the table.
There was even a closet and a few water bottles!
Wand opened the window and looked outside. Thankfully, the window wasn't located in front of the paths in which the students walked. There was a small grassy area and a wall separating the academy and the rest of the island. Behind the wall was a forest followed by the lake.
For the rest of the day Wand and his three friends explored the rest of the academy.
They went to the dining hall to have some food and even went to the first floor of the library!
But they didn't study, intimidated by the sheer number of books there.
The Academy even had a gym where some second-year students were lifting huge weights.
There even was a Lab and a gravitational chamber but they required permits from teachers to use those.
There even was a fighting arena, which they couldn't access yet.
The academy even had a mission hall in it! According to the receptionist, this was a collaboration between the academy and the Hero's Guild, and only Aurora Academy and Scholar Academy had this facility. Completing missions listed on the mission hall gave some money and Academic Points (AP) for completing those.
It could be used for various things inside the academy.
They also listed their name to register in the mission hall. The receptionist informed them that their identity tag would be available in 3 days. One side of tag will be from Hero's Guild and another will be from the Academy.
Wand and friends also couldn't enter the classes. They weren't allowed to.
Wand and friends went back to their room after dinner. They were tired after all.
The next day also went similarly. Wand woke up early, exercised, and explored the shops in the bridge area.
Two days after arriving at the academy. It was the day of orientation.
Wand woke up early in the morning, exercised, and went outside his dorm to see a lot of students walking on the academy's grounds. He could also see luxurious-looking carriages on the bridge, coming to the academy.
He was wearing A white shirt having golden edges at the sleeves and collar along with a black pant and a red tie. This was the standard academy uniform.
He also met with his friends and went towards the orientation hall.
Red and golden seats were arranged below an elevated platform colored similarly too.
The seats were arranged such that there would be a space in between the arrangements for people to walk on.
Wand sat in the middle area of the left side. Wand, Alaia, John, and Skyler sat next to each other.
'10:20 huh… This place is rapidly filling up too. James said it would start at 10:30.'
'I hope they don't make us wait.'
"Ho! Look at that girl guys." Skyler gasped as he looked at a beautiful green-haired girl entering the hall.
The girl confidently walked to the first row of seats and sat there.
"Hey dude the princess is here!"
"So what? Don't look bro."
"She is so beautiful."
"Whatever, my girlfriend is more beautiful."
Wand could hear the murmurs of students sitting near him.
"Princes huh? Of this country probably."
"Attention students! Please maintain silence. The principal of this academy is going to give his speech."
A muscular middle-aged man came on the stage and started speaking without any equipment.
"Good morning to our new students." His voice was neither too soft nor too brutish. His voice could be heard throughout the hall.
"My name is William Gravity. I am announcing with pride that you are officially the students of this academy from today on."
"This academy..." Most students, including Wand, didn't continue listening to him.
"Also, let me warn you. The current number of students admitted this year is 150. There are only 15 students in the combat group in the current fourth year. Three of them are injured."
"This academy is not a kid's playground. Please take this seriously."
"Anyways, in the next five days, you must go to the Ability training building to get your ability tested. This is for you to better understand your ability and to put you in a specific group."
"You can also choose your classes yourself, although you have some compulsory classes."
"Your classes will start after five days."
"Well then have a good academic experience." The principal said as we went to the side of the stage behind the walls.
He opened the door and met with a man wearing a black suit. The man looked stressed.
"Did they catch him?" William asked.
"N-No, He managed to run away after the group from Hero's Guild ambushed him."
"Old man peace huh?" William's expression turned sour as he said that.
The man beside him started to feel heavy pressure and fell to the ground. William quickly came out of his stupor after that and helped the man up.
"Put up a hunting request for him at the Hero's Guild. Also, inform me if he appears again. I can't let him go after he injured three of our promising students."
"Okay!" The man said as he walked away.
"Wait!"
"If he appears and I am not in the academy, inform Aphos. That old man's ability only works on other's ability after all."
"Understood, Principal!"
They both walked away.
Outside, the orientation had already ended. Wand was heading towards the dining hall.
The dining hall, which was quiet and peaceful, had turned into a chaotic mess.
A skinny-looking student was peacefully eating his food when a group of five approached his table.
"Hey. This is our table from now on."
"Yeah! You go sit in another one."
The five said as they were going to put their plate on the table.
"Hmmm? Are you deaf? Didn't you hear what the other two said?"
"I Did not. Care to open your shithole of a mouth again?" The skinny student said.
"Huhhhhh? What did you say, bastard?"
A "Fight" broke out.
It couldn't even be called a fight.
The five never stood a chance.
There were the five clutching their heads crying on the ground, begging for forgiveness. Ther food spread all over the floor.
Wand and the friend quickly at their food and headed towards the Ability training building.
Other students could use their ability, while they couldn't even do that.
They had to learn to use their ability quickly!
