The group of students reached the horseless carriage. The carriage was a mix of golden and white colors. It was long and had 3 compartments —Like a train.
The first compartment was smaller than the other two. A person who looked like the driver came out of it.
Then, the driver greeted James—the admission department's member.
James instructed the kids to sit on the last compartment while He and other staff entered the second compartment.
The carriage started moving as the kids sat on seats parallel to the third compartment's long walls.
Wand looked out of the window behind him and saw a forest filled with green and luscious trees.
After a while wand could see a giant lake located in between the forest.
But What caught Wand's attention was not the lake rather it was the island containing multiple buildings in the middle of the lake.
The island was connected to the land with a single "Bridge".
It was only a bridge in the name because besides the road on the bridge were multiple Shops and stalls selling various items.
The carriage had finally arrived at the "Bridge". Wand could see students wearing similar uniforms the only difference being their ties as someone's tie had one strip while another's tie had 2.
Wand even saw a person with three strips in the tie. He had red hair and blue eyes and looked really muscular and menacing.
At the half point of the bridge There was a giant circular fountain and the buildings there were more…. Luxurious?
After the half point, the buildings started getting lesser and lesser until there were none and a gate on the top of which the words "Aurora Academy" were engraved.
The carriage proceeded to enter through the gate. It kept on going until it reached a place where similar carriages were parked.
The carriage proceeded to enter through the gate. It kept on going until it reached a place where similar carriages were parked.
After a while, the children were instructed to get out of the carriage.
"The orientation will start in two days at 10:30 am sharp arrive at the orientation hall by the morning time. Here, take this map with you. Don't want you lot getting lost in the orientation day after all."
James said as he handed each of the students a map of the academy's compound.
"Also, follow me to the admissions department. I will register you there and provide your uniform."
James walked forward as the kids followed him.
After a minute of walking, they reached the admissions department.
James went inside and made them sit in a hall.
"How are they going to provide uniform if they haven't taken our measurements?" Skyler asked.
Most of the students also had the same question in their minds.
"Of course, they are going to give us clothes enchanted by using unie, made using an ability. But you from a village wouldn't know it!" One of the brats from a rich family said.
"Hey, Tony! Don't make fun of them." The other well-dressed kid said to Tony.
Wand was looking at this with slight anger.
'This guy better not cause problems for me. If an opportunity arrives, I will let death embrace him.' Wand thought as he smirked slightly.
'Hmm? What am I thinking? I shouldn't wish death upon anyone, yeah that's right!!' Wand's expression returned to normal.
Meanwhile, Tony and his friend were still blabbering.
After a while, James called each of them inside the registration room and asked about various details like date of birth, hobbies etcetera etcetera.
After that, He and the receptionist in the room handed each of them an identity paper.
He also provided them with three sets of standard academy uniforms. He also gave them a circular badge with a radius of 1 inch. It had a red background and a single golden strip.
"While inside the academy, you can choose not to wear the standard uniform, but you must wear a badge somewhere visible. This is to minimize fighting between students of different years. Most second-year students wouldn't be shameless enough to pick a fight with a first-year after all."
James said as he started walking to another floor of the building.
"My work here is done; you go to your dorm. Its location is on the map and your assigned room is on the identity paper. Also don't forget to ask for the key at the dorm room's reception."
Of course, James also provided them with a bag to store their uniform.
Wand put the uniforms inside his bag and pinned the badge in his current clothes. John, Alaia, and Skyler also copied Wand.
The group quickly walked towards the dorm building and went to the receptionist on the ground floor.
Wand and friends were first in line to give their identity papers.
The receptionist looked at their badge and asked, "Would you four like for your rooms to be near to each other? I can change the rooms in the identity paper."
""Yes"" the four of them unanimously said.
The receptionist then gave Wand, John, Alaia, and Skyler the keys to room numbers A-112, A-113, A-114, and A115 respectively.
The four quickly went to their room while chatting about mundane things.
After that, The remaining six lined up quickly and tried to give the receptionist their identity paper.
But the receptionist didn't take it and kept looking at them absent-mindedly.
Another random kid came and the receptionist gave him the keys.
The remaining six were now truly confused!
"Hey, receptionist! Why aren't you giving us our keys?" Tony arrogantly asked.
The receptionist asked calmly " Are you guys students?"
With a hint of pride, Tony said "Of course we are! So give us our keys!"
"Are you now? Then why aren't you wearing your badge? If you don't wear it then how will I tell the difference between you and a janitor?"
This quickly shut up Tony as he and the other kids quickly scrambled their bags to search for their badges.
The receptionist finally agreed to give them their keys!
' I will remember this!' Tony gritted his teeth as an image of Wand and friends flashed in his mind. After all, they didn't even tell Tony to wear the badge while they themselves wore it.
