"You believe me now?"
"I do,"
"So, when are we gonna start our little game?"
The question was asked by Aria, and the answer was simple.
"Now,"
A single word.
And, the game had begun.
"Perfect," Aria said, a smile appeared on her face, and her eyes were gleaming with anticipation.
"I hope you don't disappoint me."
"I won't,"
He replied, and his gaze turned to the right, where his wife was waiting for him.
"And what about the woman I told you to take care of?" He asked as the event of his wife being grabbed by her hair flashed in his mind.
"It has already been done," Aria replied, and a satisfied expression was visible on her face.
"She was a complete bitch. Whenever she would see a homeless she would either hit them or curse at them.
And, when the poor people would try to get money, she would beat them until they passed out."
"That woman, I really hated her." Nellas couldn't help but sigh.
"I know," Aria said, "I also felt disgusted when I heard about her. But, don't worry, from now on she will be the one to sleep on the roads and the one who will beg for money every day."
She finished and a smile formed across her lips.
"Good," As soon as the words left Nell's lips, the sound of his steps filled the air as he turned and started walking.
"Oh, and by the way," Aria's voice rang out behind him, and she couldn't help but ask him one more thing.
"Who is that girl?" She questioned, pointing at the row of chairs embedded in the ground a bit further away from them.
There, on one of the chairs, a red-haired young girl was sitting.
Her head was lowered, and her eyes were fixed on the ground.
She was sitting there quietly and silently, not making a sound.
"That girl, what is her relationship with you?" She asked, her curiosity was getting the best of her, and she wanted to know about her relationship with Nellas.
However, the answer she got was not what she was expecting.
"That is none of your business," Nell retorted, as he glanced at his wife sitting on the chair.
"Tsk," Aria clicked her tongue, her expression was a mixture of curiosity and annoyance.
"Well, whatever," Aria said, dismissing the topic.
"Anyway, you should get ready. We have a big battle to fight."
She reminded him, and instead of giving her a reply, Nellas simply left without a word, walking toward the chairs where Ember was sitting.
"Hmph," Aria snorted, and her gaze followed Nellas's back.
'This bastard, what is his plan?'
Her mind was thinking of a thousand different things, and she was trying to make sense of what was happening.
'He is hiding something.'
'He has something in mind.'
Aria was a smart woman, and she knew that there was something Nellas was not telling her.
She had been suspicious of him since the day he appeared, and asked her for help.
She knew that he was not an ordinary man and that he was hiding something.
But...
'Whatever, as long as he kills both Divine Slayer and that Knight fucker, I don't care.'
Aria didn't care, and her mind was focused on a single thing.
'Revenge.'
With that thought, she stood up and began walking in the opposite direction to where Nellas was going.
Meanwhile, Nell was slowly walking toward Ember, his steps were light and his mind was filled with thoughts.
He didn't have much time left, and he knew that he had to act quickly.
'Let's start with Divine Slayer, huh.'
He grabbed his phone from his pocket and opened a certain contact number.
Then he opened WhatsApp and sent a message.
It was a short and concise message.
It simply read...
'Your wife before she died,'
And after this message, he sent a photo of a blonde woman.
The photo showed her having wounds and bruises all over her body.
She was lying on the ground, covered in blood, and her clothes were torn and ragged.
It was the photo he took when the Breakout in the restaurant had happened.
He sent the photo and closed the phone, his eyes went to the girl sitting on the chair as he reached her.
He smiled, and his lips parted,
"Come on, let's go,"
He grabbed her hand and pulled her up,
"Hmm," She nodded, "Are you done?" she asked as she rose to her feet.
"Yeah," Nellas confirmed, and his eyes went to her face, "That woman was asking where she could buy new clothes for her husband. She said she was new to the city so I told her where she could buy them."
He explained, and the girl didn't ask any questions, instead, she nodded.
"Okay," She said, and her hand tightened around his.
Nell felt it and saw that her lifeless eyes were fixed on the ground.
Her gaze was empty, and her face was emotionless.
She seemed somewhat disappointed, or maybe, sad.
But, she didn't say anything, and instead, she simply let every complaint, resentment, and protest die on her tongue.
'Is she jealous?'
'Of me talking to another woman?'
Nellas came to this conclusion and couldn't help but chuckle.
'How cute, my dear wife is jealous.'
