"Phweeee" the coach blows the whistle while shouting "Come around, come around".
The coach start talking,
"We will be dividing you guys into boys ang girls since you will be having the competition according to sexes, so all boys should move to my left-hand side whiles all girls should move my right-hand side"
So, all the boys moved to the left whiles the girls moved to the right. He continued saying.
"Now, let me introduce to you the man standing next to me, he goes by the name Mr. Morales, who will be here as an assistant coach, he's from Saiellya High School and will be training the boys starting from tomorrow, so all the boys will train at the old basketball court whiles I'll train the girls here".
We all clapped to welcome the new coach.
"So shall we all move to the basketball court then".
Mr. Morales said.
"So now I'll be dividing you in groups; and each will contain five members.
Luckily for me, I got the same group as Annie.
"Now, line up in straight vertical lines, with one member chosen among you, to face the other four with five centimeters distance between you and the member in front. Those in front will pass the ball to the other team members in front of them and then change with another member after five throws like we always did during practice".
The coach said.
Annie was the one chosen to stand in front of our team.
"I'm, sure you remember how to do this one" Annie asked me
"Yes, I do" I replied.
After we were done, we did some few individual throws into the basketball net while the coach stood at a distance taking record of our performance.
Luckily for me, I was able to make some shoots into the net.
"Seems like you're doing well for your first time trying to shoot" Annie said.
"Yeah, i guess I'm trying". I responded.
"Come around" The coach said after observing us. We all gathered around him to listen to what he had to say
"We'll end our training here, tomorrow will have matches with each other so I can study your performance, then I'll choose some of you out of each group to make up the team for the competition, so get ready for that, and I'll see you all tomorrow, and don't forget to send the balls in the storage room before leaving."
He said and left.
"Okay" We replied.
After sending the balls, Annie suggested.
"Let's go and get changed".
"Okay" I said as we left the court to the changing room.
After we were done changing, we went to the old basketball court to wait for Ronald and Ernest, but when we got there, they were playing against each other, so we just stood at a distance and watched them.
"Oh my gosh, he's so good at it, I've never seen him play like this before" Tesa said looking at him with a smiley and blushy face.
"Yeah, because when we have Physical Education, we are always passing balls, we don't really play matches" Annie said.
"Does he have a personal coach." Tesa said.
"Not really, his cousins are really good basketball players, so they sometimes coach him, besides he has a basketball court in his house, so he can even teach you some skills at his place as he suggested this afternoon, but then why are you blushing" Annie said taking a close look at her
Tesa turns to face Annie and says "Blushing, I'm not blushing" Tesa said assuring her
Ronald notices Annie and Theresa standing at a distance and waves them.
They see him waving and wave back
Not long they ended the game.
Ernest picks up his sports bag and hands Ronald a bottle of water, he also takes out one for himself.
"You guys are already done with you training" Ronald said while pouring the bottle of water on his face.
"Yeah" Annie said watching him passionately.
"How long have you guys been waiting for us" Ernest asks
"Not soo long, anyway let's get going" Annie said.
"So. what do you think will you let me help you for the practice" Ronald asks Tesa.
"Of course I'll just have to text my mum, so she knows I might not be home early".
When we got to the junction of the street we waved each other, then I followed Ronald to his house.
Whiles going I texted my mum "I'll not be homme early today, Ronald will be teaching me some skills in basketball, so see you later".
