"Hi, guys" Annie greets as she sees Ronald and Theresa sitting at the basketball court chatting
"Hi, how are you" Ronald asked.
"I'm fine and how about you guys" Annie replies.
"We are also fine" they responded simultaneously.
"Did you ask your brother" Tesa asked.
"Yeah, turns out he already knows" She replied as she sat beside them.
"So why didn't he tell you then" Ronald asked
"Well, that's because I wasn't interested in hearing anything about her"
"Hey guys". Ernest said bursting into them.
"Hii" They chorused.
"How was your training yesterday with Ronald, what did you learn" Ernest asked.
"It was good, I perfected how to shoot the ball" Tesa replied.
"So today what will you guys be learning" He asked.
"I'll be teaching her how to dribble, but…."
"Wow, then we can join you guys, right Annie."
"Yeah, of course that's a good idea" she replied
"Ummm, the problem is, today I might not be able to train with you guys, how about we make it tomorrow" Tesa suggested.
"Why" Ernest asked.
"I'll be sending my neighbor's brother; Casimir somewhere". She said.
"I'll also be sending my brother out". Ronald added.
"Okay then, tomorrow it is" Annie said.
"Yeah, anyway, let's go and get changed".
The game starts with the competition between Annie's team, which they named the Pinky Girl's Team and the Glazzy Team. It was a tough match because the best player in the school team; Gianna, was part of the Glazzy team, but, with the skills Tesa learnt, she managed to give two shots whiles the other team members gave three shots which ended them with ten goals, whiles the Glazzy team gave in three shots which was scored by Gianna and ended them with six.
The next competition was between the Kassiy team and the Royal team. It ended with six goals, scored by both teams. Since it was a draw, they had a rematch which ended with four goals on the side of the Kassiy team and two goals on the side of the Royal team
The struggle for the 3rd and 4th positions was between the Royal team and the Glazzy team, since the Glazzy team had the best player, they won with eight marks while the Royal team lost with four marks.
The final competition was between the Kassiy team and the Pinky Girl's Team.
It wasn't that much of a difficult match, because the Pinky Girl's observed the manner in which the Kassiy girls played with the Royal team.
Annie and Tesa were able to give one shot each which ended up with four whiles the Kassiy team gave one shot which was made by their best player, the game ended with four marks by the Pinky Girl's Team and two marks by the Kassiy team.
The pinky team was declared the winner by the coach.
"Out of my observation, I'll will now select the member who will stand for the school in the school competition" The coach said.
"Here goes the names, Annie will play the point guard, Theresa play the shooting guard, Gianna will play the small forward, Mia will play the power forward and Kaeli will play center.
The selected members jubilated as they heard their names being mentioned.
"That's all for today, I'll meet the selected members for the team tomorrow, those that weren't selected, don't be upset, but keep on training to perfect your skills, anyway I wish you all the best, Goodbye" the coach added.
Bye" they replied jointly.
"Oh, my goodness, I can't believe I made it." Tesa said cheerfully as she sat on the ground with her hands on her mouth.
"Yeah, your training was not in vain, you must be so proud of yourself". Annie added.
"Yeah, definitely not".
"Let's go get changed, and look for Ronald and Ernest, I saw them around when we were playing with the Royals.
"Oh, okay."
