It has only been 24 hrs and it's been insane. " Okay, you know my name but you never told me yours?" she responded, "Kelsey or Temperance, think of me as your fairy godmother but hopefully a best friend."
Taking a deep breath in, "Okay, I don't have too many friends, just one back home. So what is the game plan? Movies didn't teach me much except Disney lied & my prince never came so I became independent and shrouded myself in the darkness."
" Well now you don't have to, we can make a list and go over the rules, you did turn 21." I asked her, " How did you know that?" She had my ID in her hand, " Give that back." She handed it over. " What I was curious about." Rolling my eyes we began to brainstorm.

I know I might think of more later, but for now, this may be the main reason, and I was able to negotiate with her for it to be like this because I technically have to be specific. I showed her a somewhat collage of what i would like for a house and she said she could have it done by next Monday so that is pretty good honestly.
" Okay, I can have a full closet and fully furnished food pantry by Monday, but the body I can do now and the trips let me know when and we can do it." I smiled, and she worked her magic, it was a cloud of smoke like the shit in Cinderella and she said, " Well there you go. The glow-up you asked for." I ran over to the mirror and shed my shirt and I was left to be in my bra and shorts.
I was astounded and happy. I broke into happy tears, I mumbled, " I can see again." I can see out of my left eye. And that hasn't happened in over a decade and a half. I put my shirt back on and just because I have the body and self-confidence, I felt like me again. I ran over to Kelsey and gave her a hug thanking her, "Thank you so much." she said, "You're welcome but why are you crying?"
I pulled away and explained, " For the past decade, I have been blind in my left eye and I have always hated my body, and I felt like a skeleton in unwanted skin for 21 years of my life. And between the trauma and scars, I'm a mess. But now I guess the term hot mess makes sense."
Her response to all of this took me off guard, " scars are the wounds of a warrior. I know you may have heard this before, but it's going to be somewhat okay. It won't be the same normal, but enough of a normal to be able to somewhat function- there will be crappy days and good days. But enough sadness, you have a party to get ready for. Caroline invited you-"I cut her off, " you wanna go with?" 'Please say yes' she said, "I've never been to a human party before."
" Ee I'm so happy, I'm not one for parties but hey you only live once and you only die twice."
Later that day: 7: 43 pm
I was honestly excited but nervous as today we had a small get-ready party, and Kelsey is basically like a best friend/mom/best friend. But she was kinda like the best friend with mom vibes. I asked, " Hey, are you sure you don't need a jacket?" she nodded, " Yep, where my realm is it is a lot colder than you would think." I replied, "Okay, just making sure."
Mystic grill
I was honestly shocked at the turnout, temperance said, "Let's go sit." We did and I said, "I'm kinda surprised at the turnout." Before we could say anything else Matt came over and said, " Can I get you two ladies menus?" I looked at her and she said, " Yes please." He nodded and came back a few seconds later, I smiled, "Thank you Matt." he nodded, " No problem."
20 minutes later
Matt came back with the food, we ordered a bit this way we could take it back with us. We have a bit of time before the house is done; if we have leftovers, we can bring them to the house.

It seems like a lot for our to-go order, but like i was saying, we can take it back with us, and it won't go to waste and it gives us a few days off from cooking anything. Now before anyone says anything, I love cooking and experimenting in the kitchen. It's honestly how I made my recipe book.
Throughout the night it was kinda fun, we were talking and she explained a bit more about what she does and I explained the same. But I got a text and it caught us both off guard. " hey you doing okay? You aren't at the grill." I giggled a little, Kelsey asked, " You okay?"
I nodded, "Yeah Bonnie texted, she said I was not at the grill. And we are here?" I looked around a bit, and saw Bonnie & Caroline and said, " Hey let me pay for this quick and we can head over."
We went over to the pool table and there were Elena, Stefan, Tyler, Caroline, and Bonnie. " Hey Caroline, guys." they had puzzled looks on their faces and Bonnie questioned, "Haley? You look different." I smiled, " That's one way to put it, oh my manners went out the window, everyone this is Kelsey. A good friend of mine."
