Chapter 1 - CHAPTER 1- THE CRISES

"Haa! Haa!", the boy panted as he ran dodging the multiple explosions and falling debris as he did. Something flew past him eerily close to his face as it slightly grazed his cheek. He continued running not looking back as only death awaited him there as he clung desperately to a sword sheath which was his only remaining possession other than the clothes on his body.

He scanned his surroundings as he looked for somewhere he could hide himself as he could feel his stamina running out and his vision started becoming blurry. Luckily, he found a tiny crevice on his right, one he could probably barely fit in.

He wasted no time as he hastily squeezed himself in the hole and 'BAM' another explosion hit just as he got in. He tried to calm his breathing as hot tears full of anger and despair flowed down his face. Now that he wasn't running the cuts and shallow wounds all over his body decided to alert him of their presence.

A few hours had passed, and the boy was slowly losing hope but even, so he decided to cry out for help.

For 30 minutes he cried out but as he had feared no one answered his cry. It was at that moment he saw a woman's face appear at the entrance of the crevice.

"Hey John! I found a survivor."

"Well hurry and get them out of there we don't have much time."

I reached out my hand to the small boy, but he seemed a bit hesitant. I let my hand remain like that for a brief moment to see what he would do. Just as I was about to withdraw it, he reached out albeit while shaking. Wasting no time, I pulled him out and put him in a princess carry and told John to open a portal.

As we jumped through the boy tightly held onto my clothes while closing his eyes as tears flowed down his face.
