Chapter 3 - Chapter 3 - Memory wanted to be forgotten

When Rosemary was following the other candidates to leave the castle, an unseen force propelled her into a dimly lit room without anyone taking notice. The door closed behind her.

"Who's there?" Rosemary's voice quivered as she struggled to widen her eyes, attempting to discern the contents of the room.

Suddenly, she felt a hand reaching for her, attempting to push her and force her to lean against the door. Her gaze met the door, and she could sense the presence of a towering figure behind her.

'"Who are you?" She asked again. She could hear the breath of the unknown man as he was pushing his body towards her back.

'"What a shame that you did not get chosen." This voice, Rosemary quickly recognized this was the Alpha Vampire.

She could feel that his hand slid into her dress, one hand took hold of her breast and kneaded it gently, nails scraping across the tip and flooding it with an electrifying tingle. The other hand held her waist stopping her from moving.

"Don't ..." Rosemary shuddered, tensing her body and instinctively wriggling to avoid it.

The palm of his hand soothingly stroked over her taut body, and thin, lingering kisses were imprinted on her neck and collarbone.

He patiently kissed her neck to help her relax, his fingers swirling around the tight belly, and the cleavage of her legs, igniting a bush of desire.

"You can choose to stay as my mistress. Then you won't be punished by your family."

Rosemary's whole body went limp from the teasing. Her scent of Rose appeared again, filling the whole room.

Feeling that the time was almost right, the Alpha Vampire spread her legs and probed between them with his fingers, gently rubbing the tiny nub hidden in the petals.

"Ah!" As if electricity struck her entire body, the young girl let out a scream, her legs violently trying to come together, but being pressed down by the Alpha, she was unable to move, and could only leave her vitals exposed to helplessly endure his assault.

Soon, it was convulsing all over, screaming as it reached its peak.

He pressed up against Rosemary's body and nibbled on her earlobe. Moist breath spewed out on the young girl's ear, making her body tingle. She struggled to breathe and relax her body.

"I will give you one night to think about it."

Vernon's hands slowly unclenched, releasing Rosemary from his grip. As she felt the pressure ease, Rosemary's heart raced with a mix of fear and relief. Without looking back, she swiftly turned and ran out of the room, her footsteps echoing through the corridor as she sought to escape from the suffocating tension that had enveloped her.

The air outside the room felt cool against her skin, and she gasped for breath, her chest rising and falling rapidly. With each step, the distance between her and Vernon grew, and she embraced the freedom of movement, the sensation of being released from an invisible shroud that had threatened to suffocate her spirit.

As she fled down the corridor, her mind raced with a jumble of emotions, her thoughts a whirlwind of confusion and urgency. She yearned for a sanctuary, a place where she could gather her thoughts and reclaim her sense of self. With each stride, she felt a renewed sense of determination, a resolve to break free from the confines of fear and uncertainty that had held her captive for far too long.

"So you are Rosemary Ventayan?" Vernon's voice brought Rosemary back to real life.

"Yes, Master Vernon." Rosemary"s voice quivered, betraying the tremor of fear that coursed through her, as she gathered her resolve to address the Alpha Vampire.

"May I ask for your forgiveness Master Vernon, I have a sudden sickness starting this morning and I am covered with rashes all over my body so I am wearing a mask at the moment. And due to my sickness, my sister Amelia is replacing me." Despite the palpable quiver in her tone, she fought to maintain an illusion of composure, each word carefully measured and delivered with a determined steadiness.

"That is unfortunate." Vernon took another sip of his blood wine, gradually turning his head to the leader of the Blood Committee, whispering to him.

The Ventayan family was in unsettling fear as there was no particular rule determining which daughter of the family could join the Server Selection. However, it was always the eldest daughter. They were not sure why the Alpha Vampire would pick on this point.

The leader of the Blood Committee turned to the Ventayan family after a short conversation with the Alpha Vampire.

"Master Vernon has determined the candidate from now on must be the eldest daughter of each family. Therefore, we will postpone the Server Selection until Miss Rosemary Ventayan is fully recovered."

Rosemary stood in stunned silence, her heart sinking with despair as the announcement of the postponed Server Selection echoed through the chamber. The weight of the news seemed to crush her spirit, leaving her feeling trapped in a web of uncertainty and apprehension.

It was as if the flickering hope of escape had been cruelly extinguished, and the looming presence of the Alpha Vampire now felt more suffocating than ever.

Her eyes once filled with determination, now betrayed a glimmer of helplessness as the realization set in that she might not be able to evade the clutches of the Alpha Vampire. The air around her seemed heavy with the burden of her shattered expectations, and a sense of resignation settled over her like a suffocating shroud, enveloping her in a cloak of despondency. Despite her inner turmoil, she struggled to maintain a facade of composure, her trembling form a stark contrast to the facade of calm she attempted to uphold in the face of this unexpected setback.

Chapter 3

Rosemary walked into the cozy cafe, her eyes scanning the room until they landed on a familiar figure sitting in a corner booth. A warm smile spread across her face as she made her way over to the table where her best friend, Noah, was waiting. As she approached, she noticed the faint glint of mischief in his eyes, a telltale sign that he was up to something.

Noah, a charming and enigmatic figure, was known to Rosemary as more than just a friend; he was also a werewolf, a fact that had always fascinated and intrigued her. His presence brought a sense of comfort and a hint of mystery to her otherwise ordinary life as a vampire server.

"Hey, Rosemary! You're looking a bit tired today. Long night?" Noah greeted her with a sly grin, his wolfish nature subtly evident in the way his eyes seemed to gleam with a knowing twinkle.

"Yeah, the Selection Night was quite the event," Rosemary replied, sliding into the seat opposite him. "I'm still recovering from it."

Noah leaned in, his expression turning serious. "I can imagine. I heard about what happened."

Rosemary nodded, appreciating his understanding. "That's why I'm thinking of finding a way to escape from it, now and for all."

Noah's eyes sparked with mischief as he leaned back in his seat, a mischievous smile playing on his lips. "Well, I might have a few ideas about that. But first, let's get some coffee and talk about it."

As they sipped their coffee and delved into their plans, Rosemary felt a sense of relief knowing that she had Noah by her side, not just as a friend, but as a companion in her quest for a peaceful escape from the pressures of the Selection Night.

When thinking back to how she met Noah, it was quite an interesting story.

Vampires and werewolves have long been enemies but in recent centuries, there have been efforts making peace between the two factions. Yet, their relationship cannot be said as the most humorous. Although vampire servers are not vampires, as servers, they normally have to follow what vampire masters say.

In a dimly lit tavern nestled in the heart of a Turkey, Rosemary was traveling by herself. She glided gracefully between the tables, her eyes gleaming with a mesmerizing allure. Her long, flowing hair cascaded like liquid ebony down her back, and her crimson lips curved into a mysterious smile as she took orders from the patrons.

At the same tavern, Noah, a rugged and charming werewolf, sat at the bar, nursing a drink and keeping to himself. His piercing gaze scanned the room, observing the diverse clientele with a mix of caution and curiosity. The air crackled with unspoken tension, as vampires and werewolves rarely frequented the same "Restablishments, let alone interacted with each other.

As fate would have it, their paths crossed when Rosemary accidentally bumped into Noah, spilling a few drops of crimson wine on his sleeve. Before tension could escalate, Rosemary swiftly apologized, her voice soft and melodious. Noah, surprised by her graceful demeanor, couldn't help but offer a small smile in return.

Their first meeting sparked an unexpected connection, as they found themselves drawn to each other's intriguing presence. Over time, they exchanged words during Rosemary's shifts, sharing stories and laughter in the quiet moments between serving patrons.

Their friendship blossomed against all odds, transcending the ancient enmity between their species. Rosemary and Noah discovered a shared love for literature, often delving into discussions about their favorite books and authors. They found solace in each other's company, forming an unlikely bond that defied the norms of their supernatural world.

As they laughed and confided in each other, it became clear that Rosemary and Noah had found in each other a kindred spirit, a companion who accepted them for who they were beyond their supernatural identities. Their friendship, forged in the unlikeliest of circumstances, would soon become an enduring testament to the power of connection and understanding in a world fraught with prejudice.

And so, in that dimly lit tavern, amidst the whispers of the night, a vampire server and a werewolf became the most unlikely of friends, their bond unbreakable and their loyalty unwavering.

"Rosemary, I know this plan may seem reckless, but I do think you will be safe in the werewolf pack.' said Noah while sipping his coffee. 'Vampires seldom come over to our pack area and my people will not question anything as long as you are not a vampire.'
