Chapter 8 - Chapter 8 - In The Garden

The garden outside the ballroom was a tranquil oasis, a stark contrast to the vibrant energy of the grand hall within.

Under the soft glow of the moon, the garden shimmered with an ethereal beauty. Lush green lawns stretched out beneath the starlit sky, punctuated by graceful fountains and ancient trees that stood like sentinels, their branches reaching toward the heavens.

The air was heavy with the scent of blooming roses, their delicate petals releasing a sweet fragrance that filled the senses. The garden was a haven for fragrant blossoms, from the delicate lilies to the vibrant hydrangeas.

"Such a show, isn't it?" Beneath the canopy of an ancient oak tree, Violeta and Rosemary sat on a stone bench, enveloped by the tranquility of the garden. The air was perfumed with the sweet scent of roses, their delicate petals swaying gently in the breeze. A gentle hum of bees filled the air, their tireless work pollinating the vibrant blooms.

Violeta, with her fiery red hair and piercing blue eyes, gazed up at the sky, a hint of indifference flickering in her gaze. "I always hate when people look at us like we are some kind of prizes, Rosemary," she confessed, her voice laced with a mix of annoyance and irritation. "Five girls among hundreds of extraordinary vampires, vying for a place by the side next to Master Vernon."

"We've trained hard, honed our skills, and prepared for this our whole life." Rosemary remembered from last life, Violeta was the one who got selected as the Omega Vampire Server at the end. If this life went the same way, Violeta would have the same fate.

Rosemary, with her captivating beauty and grace, sat on a stone bench, while Violeta, a petite lady with fiery red hair, paced back and forth, her expression a mix of anger and frustration.

"I can't believe that this is happening," Violeta fumed, her voice filled with disgust. "The Vampire Server Selection is a barbaric ritual, a cruel charade that reduces us to nothing more than objects of desire."

Rosemary listened patiently, her eyes filled with empathy. She understood Violeta's anger, for she shared the same sentiments.

"I know," Rosemary replied softly. "It's a system that is outdated and misogynistic, designed to control and manipulate us."

Violeta's frustration boiled over. "It's not just that," she continued. "It's the way they treat us like cattle, the way they strip us of our individuality and force us to compete against each other."

Rosemary nodded in agreement. "It's dehumanizing and degrading," she said. "We are not objects to be bartered or traded."

Rosemary did not know how much she could trust Violeta.

In her past life, Violeta was indifferent to her and never truly had a conversation with her, not during the Selection, nor after she was forced to be the mistress of the Alpha Vampire. And Violeta was the beloved Omega, by the Alpha himself and the people. She was always the unnoticed one who the Alpha would think of only when he needed to release his desire.

She wondered what had changed in this life that Violeta deliberately talked to her.

"Well, maybe it's time for a change." Violeta said. Rosemary was puzzled about why Violeta would say this. "Let's get back in there. I think the ceremony is starting very soon."

The night sky, once a symbol of peace and serenity, now seemed to glow with uncertainty.

..............................…

The air was thick with anticipation and excitement as Rosemary and Violeta stood before their full-length mirrors, each meticulously preparing for their grand entrance into the Vampire Server Selection.

Rosemary, with her cascading auburn hair and piercing blue eyes, was a vision of elegance and grace. She carefully applied her makeup, accentuating her natural beauty with a touch of shimmery eyeshadow and a swipe of ruby-red lipstick. Her gown, a stunning creation of emerald green silk, shimmered under the soft light of the chandelier, clinging to her curves like a second skin.

Violeta, a fiery redhead with a mischievous glint in her eyes, exuded a vivacious charm that was as captivating as it was disarming. She swept her fiery tresses into a loose updo, allowing a few rebellious strands to frame her porcelain face. Her makeup was bold and dramatic, highlighting her fiery spirit with shades of crimson and gold. Her gown, a daring confection of scarlet velvet, hugged her curves like a siren's embrace, while its plunging neckline revealed a hint of her fiery spirit.

As they finished their preparations, Rosemary and Violeta exchanged knowing glances. They were ready to face the challenge that lay ahead, determined to make their mark on the Vampire Server Selection.

The five candidates stepped into the grand hall, their hearts pounding with anticipation. The crowd fell silent as they made their entrance, their eyes fixed on the five captivating figures who had just entered their world.

...........................

"Silvana Blacke."

"Renita Morelock."

"Violeta RIddle."

"Amaris Voss."

Vernon, the imposing Alpha Vampire, sat upon his throne, his piercing green eyes surveying the first four candidates entering the grand hall. His presence was commanding, his aura radiating power and authority.

"Rosemary Ventayan"

As Rosemary entered the grand hall, her emerald green dress shimmering under the chandelier's light, Vernon, the Alpha Vampire, found himself momentarily speechless. His eyes widened in surprise, his gaze fixed on her captivating beauty.

Rosemary's presence was magnetic, her every movement exuding an air of elegance and grace. Her piercing blue eyes held a depth of mystery that drew Vernon in, while her fiery black hair cascaded down her shoulders like a waterfall.

Vernon had seen many beautiful vampires in his long life, but Rosemary was something else entirely. She possessed an ethereal quality, a radiance that seemed to illuminate the very air around her.

He found himself captivated by her, his heart pounding in his chest with an unfamiliar mix of excitement and trepidation. He had never experienced such a strong reaction to another creature, and he wondered if it was simply her beauty that had so captivated him.

One by one, the candidates took their place before Vernon, their eyes fixed on him with a mixture of awe and trepidation. As Vernon looked at Rosemary, he tried to find a glimmer of the fascination he felt for her in her eyes. But there was only distance, a cool indifference that he could not allow.

It was not like any moment he had seen in his dream. In his dream, he was always in control and Rosemary was always the one who could not resist him. But now, what he saw in her eyes was distant and indifference. This made him almost felt like he was not in control. And he could not let that happen.

After a moment of silence, Vernon spoke, his voice echoing through the hall, commanding attention. "Welcome, candidates," he began, his voice deep and resonant. "You stand before me today, vying for the position of being the Alpha Vampire's Omega Server. This is a weighty responsibility, a mantle that will demand strength, intelligence, and unwavering resilience."

As Vernon spoke, the candidates listened intently, absorbing his words, their minds racing to formulate their own strategies and plans. They knew that the next few days would be a test of their abilities, a chance to prove their worth to the Alpha and the vampire clan. But for Rosemary, the only thought she had in her mind was how to escape from this. She did not want the position of the Omega Vampire Server, nor the secret role of a mistress.

Finally, Vernon concluded his address, his eyes sweeping across the candidates. "The Selection begins now," he declared. "Tomorrow will be the day for the First Selection Stage - the Intellect Test. I hope all our candidates are ready to show us what they have got. May the best Vampire Server emerge."

With a nod, Vernon rose from his throne, his cape billowing behind him as he stepped down into the hall. The candidates followed suit, their hearts pounding with anticipation. But not for Rosemary, she deadly wished she was not here.
