Chapter 10 - Commands (3)

"Spill the beans. I don't have all day," Aaron said after a few moments of silence. "I defeated all of your stationed forces. The soldiers in the city might come eventually, but they won't be able to do anything. I want to finish this before any more blood has to be spilled."

"... You might have defeated us, but I won't allow my country to fall to the likes of you!" The King said. "Kill me! But your nation will suffer the same fate!"

"Take the girl away; she doesn't have to see this," Aaron told one of his skeletons, and then the creature took the struggling girl to another room.

Aaron approached the King and studied him from above. While he was in his forties, he still had some vigor on him. A lot actually… Perhaps he was trained as a commander of some army, and that was why he looked well fit.

"Get up," Aaron said while showing a cold glint in his eyes.

The King didn't hesitate and tried to raise his chin, but Aaron smashed his nose with a headbutt before that could happen. The King fell on his butt while holding his bleeding nose and glared at Aaron since that certainly hurt.

"Get up," Aaron said again. "Fight back if you can. My skellies won't do a thing."

The King got up and then tried to punch Aaron's face, but with his high Perception, the punch looked like it had approached in slow motion. Aaron moved to the side and then hit the stomach of the King with a knee blow. His body bent forward while he fell on his knees without any air in his lungs.

"Get up," Aaron said again.

The same thing happened a few more times until the King could barely get up without using both arms. He coughed some mouthful of blood, but there was still some fight in him.

"I will ask now since you soon won't be able to speak properly," Aaron said. "Tell me what you are planning. I am not someone from the enemy country. I am someone who wants to stop you retards from killing each other and dragging everyone else to the grave alongside with."

The King looked at Aaron with his face half swollen and then tried to spill on him. Before his motion could be finished, though, Aaron punched him in the mouth, making him swallow the blood and break half of the teeth of his mouth as well.

"I told you that you wouldn't be able to speak properly," Aaron said and then grabbed the unconscious King by the collar and then dragged him to the entrance of the garden.

All of the soldiers and mercenaries that had come to help and hadn't fallen to the poison saw Aaron toss the King to the side of the entrance like he was a piece of dirt rag. That enraged them… enough to make them charge through the miasma that had weakened quite a bit. Still, before they could do much or many of them could have approached, a commotion started on the back of their lines… Aaron's skeletons finally had arrived.

"Come here, you should see this," Aaron said while looking at the queen.

The queen gulped since she didn't want to be beaten down like her husband… she didn't want to betray her family and her country either. Still, she could at least do that much to buy some time.

When the queen approached, she saw Aaron pointing his hand at the corpses in the garden… in the next moment, several of them began to explode, and she felt like throwing up since that was a scene of carnage that she had never seen before…

The skeletons joined the fight and began to fight the mercenaries and guards. Since their skill reached level five, they were as strong as the guards that Aaron fought earlier… even without weapons and armor, they were a force to be reckoned with.

Some skeletons fell, but Aaron made three more get up and join the fight for each skeleton that fell. When the queen realized that no army could stop Aaron like that, she felt her entire body sweating cold.

"Soon enough, all of the forces of the city will be wiped out if you don't tell me what I want to know," Aaron said. "In one way or the other, I will get what I want, and then I will leave to clean the mess in the next country as well. Still, you guys will be left here alive out of my mercy. That being said, I wonder if the spies and assassins that your enemies sent here will be as merciful as I am. You guys will be able to chase them away without your guards and soldiers?"

The queen gulped… the answer to that question was as clear as the day… her entire family would be in a bad spot. While she imagined that Aaron wouldn't let them live another day, on the off chance that they told the truth, some things worse than death might befall her family.

"Shout to them to stop fighting and then bend the knee and tell me what you guys are planning," Aaron declared.

"Surrender yourselves now! Soldiers of the capital!" The queen shouted with all her might, and her voice stopped the whole battlefield.

The soldiers froze on the spot and then they were left speechless after they saw their queen bending her knee.
