Lex put on his helmet and started the bike. The other two cars also came and stopped on the road side by side with Lex.
He looked at them and gave a nod. He then looked in front where Lisa was standing, she would be the one who'd start the race.
Lex started the bike, and the other two did the same with their cars. They took a deep breath and got ready to shoot in the winds the moment they got the signal.
Lisa saw that everyone was ready, so she raised her hand and counted, "3..."
*Broom*
"2"
*Broommm*
"1"
"GO!!!!"
Lex released the clutch and accelerated to the extreme, which prompted the bike to rise from the front, but he gained control very quickly and shot in the distance.
The other two weren't slow in the slightest, so they drove their sports car and followed Lex, trying to overtake him.
The road was straight and wide so this race depended on nothing but speed, and in terms of speed, Star Bikes were considered to be one of the fastest bikes made.
They had no limits and could go to immense speeds. The only things stopping them were the bike itself and the driver.
That's why this race was basically a playground for Lex. He easily manoeuvred through the road and reached terrifying speeds of 290-300kmph in a few seconds.
Sports cars behind him tried to get close to him, but he was just too fast. There were only some cars that could match up with Star Bike and even surpass it.
These two baldies obviously didn't have those cars, they just wanted to see the performance of Star Bike. So, the race ended with an obvious win for Lex.
Lex slowed down his bike as he looked at the fork in the distance. The road was splitting in two, which was the finish line of the race.
He parked the bike at the corner of the road and waited for others. He looked at the time it took him to complete the race and smiled.
'Hehe, 20km under 5 min, what a ride.' Lex thought while smiling.
He heard the sound of cars coming close, so he raised his head to look at both cars stopping in front of him.
The bald man snuck his head out from the window and said, "Thanks for showing us the performance of this brilliant piece of art. It really lives up to the name of Star Bike."
"It can go above, but I can't control the bike at that, so I just kept it at that." Lex shook his head and replied.
"Hmm, well, it was amazing. Thanks again, and we'll be on our way then." The bald man said, and the other one also nodded from the other car.
Lex waved his hand as he looked at the two cars racing away from him. Then he again began waiting, this time for Lisa.
Minutes passed, and finally, Lisa arrived. She parked her bike beside Lex and took off her helmet. She shook her head and put her silver hair behind her.
Lex smiled and asked, "So what's the deal with those two?"
"Hehe, you really understand me, boss." Lisa grinned and said. "As for those two, they're from that trash organisation."
Lex raised his eyebrows in surprise and asked, "Are you sure it's them?"
Lisa nodded and said, "I saw the keychain of the other car, the one that the silent guy was driving. It had a skull, the same black-red skull we hate."
Lex fell into thoughts as he rubbed his chin. He said, "So they're finally resurfacing after all these years. But why now?"
"Maybe they finally recovered from the damage you did to them?" Lisa asked. "After all, it's been a few years since they went into hiding, and if they took resources from other kingdoms, which I'm sure they have, it won't take long for them to recover."
Lex smiled and nodded. His guess was also the same as Lisa's. Back then, he had done quite a damage to them and forced them to reveal themselves to the Kingdom.
And what would the Kingdom do knowing they had an organisation like them in the open? They used the opportunity well and annihilated most of the bases of the organisation and killed many members of it.
But the organisation went into hiding and because of their high skills in hiding, the Kingdom wasn't able to completely eradicate them.
"Although these are just our assumptions, we can't rule out the possibility that those two belong to that organisation," Lex said.
"Hehe, who do you think you're talking to, boss? I had already placed a tracker on both of them, and it's untraceable." Lisa said while rubbing her nose and smiling.
"That's good. Now, we would be able to see if they really belong there or not. Good job." Lex gave a thumbs up to Lisa and said.
"Hehe, praise me more," Lisa said as she raised her chest in pride.
Lex rolled his eyes and said, "Alright, now go back to my apartment. I'm pretty sure that sleepy head hadn't woken up, so you can stay with her for now."
"Any particular reason, boss?" Lisa asked.
"If they really are resurfacing, then they'll definitely come after me and Ely. She's alone right now, and that's dangerous." Lex sighed and said. "I won't worry if you're with her."
"Although I'm happy with your trust in me boss, you do know that she's technically stronger than me," Lisa asked in confusion. "Why would she need any protection?"
"I'm not worried about her, idiot," Lex said. "I'm more worried about what would happen to the capital if something happened to her. Although it's a low possibility but, what if something happened to her."
"Boss, you're confusing me." Lisa cried out. "My small brain can't handle all this, so can you please just feed the information directly to my brain?"
Lex smiled, seeing Lisa's actions, and said, "You're forgetting whose blood Ely is carrying with her. Now, do you understand?"
