As Lex started his bike and was going to face the security guards, he saw a motorcycle coming towards the Colony from the same path he had come before.
He stopped as he recognised the bike and knew the owner of that bike pretty well. Like him, the other biker also recognised his bike and slowed down his bike.
With a screech, his bike came to a halt just in front of Lex.
Lex had already taken off his helmet and was crossing his hands on his chest. He looked at Denver who had also taken off his helmet and was looking at Lex with a weird expression.
"Went on a ride in the morning?" Lex asked.
Denver shook his head and said, "Nah, I don't live here, so I came today as you're also coming. If I'm not present even when you're there, Grandpa would break my bones for sure."
"Should have expected that from you..." Lex sighed and said.
Denver rolled his eyes and said while scoffing, "Heh, who wants to live in this Prison? I've bought a different place, and I'm living there."
"Bruh, it's such a nice place. Why do you have a problem here?" Lex asked.
"Don't ask obvious questions; you know the environment here, and I'm certainly not made for that. Anyways, let's go in before that old man comes outside." Denver said as he started his bike.
Lex sighed, started his bike, and followed Denver to the gate. The gate wasn't far away, so they went slowly and reached it in no time.
The security guards saw them, and one of them stood up and came towards them. Denver took off his helmet and said, "Uncle Jain, It's me. And he's also with me."
Denver pointed at Lex and said, "So, can you please open the gate?"
"Ah! It's you, little boy, I should have recognised with that bike of yours." Uncle Jain laughed and said. "Looks like old age is catching up to me."
"Haha, what are you saying, uncle? You're as young as I used to see you." Denver said politely.
Uncle Jain waved his hand and said, "Alright, don't flatter me and go inside quickly. If you're here, then that means Sir has called you and if he didn't see you, then..."
Uncle Jain then shook his head with a laugh and continued, "Well, you know him. Anyway, go quickly."
Denver laughed and said, "Fine! Fine! Just remember to not smoke while on duty."
"Aiyo, what are you saying? I never smoke, don't speak such words so carelessly." Uncle Jain said while glaring at Denver.
"Haha," Denver laughed even more at that.
Uncle Jain also smiled and opened the small gate in the bigger gate, which was enough to let the bike pass.
Denver gave a salute to both security guards and entered the entrance gate, along with Lex following him behind.
Lex accelerated the bike and came to the side of Denver. They rode slowly in the silent, peaceful Colony while enjoying the view. They had also taken off their helmets, so they could now feel the morning breeze hitting right at their faces.
"Man, what a place this is. Only an idiot like you wouldn't wanna live here." Lex said, looking at Denver.
Denver rolled his eyes and said, "Then you wanna live here? Sure, just tell Grandpa, and he'll sure buy it, no, actually, make a whole damn mansion for you two here. But I'm pretty sure he'll say to stay with him first."
"Oh! Please! I have no problem living here, okay? I just want to live close to the city or, more precisely, the Academy so there aren't any threats to Ely." Lex said.
"Excuses! Just say you don't like the atmosphere, man." Denver nudged Lex's leg with his leg.
Lex kicked his leg away and said, "If anything happens to this bike, then I'll make sure you slave away the rest of your life."
"Hey! Hey! Does the bike have more value than me? Your best friend?" Denver cried out.
"Of course, duh. Don't you know that already?" Lex snorted and replied.
"Fuck you bish!!!" Denver pointed a middle finger at Lex and said.
Lex chuckled and asked, "Do you seriously wanna curse when you're here?"
"Tsk!" Denver clicked his tongue but didn't say anything.
Lex shook his head and saw that while talking, they had actually arrived at their destination.
There stood three mansions side by side, each speaking majesty. Luxurious but comfortable, these qualities were showing just from the outside.
"Damn! The royal family really spent quite a sum of money on these." Lex said, completely impressed by the mansions and its surroundings.
"Bro, why you complaining? You can literally buy all three pretty easily with the money you have." Denver rolled his eyes and said.
"Tsk! You will never understand the situation of us poor people, you second, no I don't know which generation freeloader." Lex mocked Denver.
Denver's lips twitched at the mention of that. Poor? Second generation? He really wanted to just kick this guy's butt.
Denver then stopped his bike as he looked at one of the workers working in the garden of one of the mansions, which was in the middle.
"Hey, old Harold, where is Grandpa?" Denver shouted to the worker.
The worker, Harold, raised his head to look at Denver and said, "Oh! It's you, young master. Old master has gone to visit his friend."
"Huh!? Did the old man run away after inviting me?" Lex got confused.
Denver ignored Lex and asked, "But he invited us? Where did he exactly go?"
"Ah! You're misunderstanding, young master. A few days ago, an old friend of the old master arrived in the Kingdom, so the old master gave him this mansion." Harold said while pointing at the mansion at the farthest left.
"Ohh! I didn't know of that," Denver mumbled. If it's an old friend of his grandpa and he's living in Flaming Lion Colony, then it means he was in the military.
"Also, young master, old master had said that when you come, you should directly go there. He wanted to introduce you to his friend." Harold said.
