"Ah, Minjun's firefly," Wu Xie muttered to himself, holding the tiny creature up to the moonlight. "Time for a little adventure."
With a conspiratorial grin, he leaned in close to the glowing insect, as if sharing a secret.
"Off you go, little messenger," he whispered, giving the firefly a gentle pat on its luminescent back. "Tell Dan I won't be gracing the academy with my presence today. Handle things at the academy."
The firefly buzzed with renewed energy, its tiny wings shimmering with purpose as it soared into the starry night sky. Wu Xie watched it go, a sense of excitement building in his chest.
"Make sure to use your best dramatic flair," Wu Xie called after the departing insect, unable to resist a touch of humor. "We wouldn't want Dan to think I'm just slacking off, now would we?"
Wovi watched in surprise as Wu Xie set the firefly on its mission. "Are you... are you planning to follow them?" it asked, buzzing around him in disbelief.
