Freya's POV
Adrien and I spent the next hour with baby Killian, watching and playing with him. He was a very lively infant and he giggled so much.
After a while though he started to fidget, his little fist touching my bosom over and over until his cute face scrunched up in a cry. His soft whimpers resonated in the room, and I felt the warmth of his tiny hand against my skin, his distress palpable in the air.
Adrien then gestured to Ana who remained in the room with us.
"He'll be taken to the nursemaid." He said and tried to take Killian from me.
"No, no nursemaids. I'll feed him myself." Then I began to loosen the straps on the front of my dress with one hand, the other cradling the still crying Killian. The dress just seemed like it was made for this exact purpose.
"You do not have to do that, Freya. You just regained consciousness, I want you to take it easy and recover fully." Adrien cajoled with a look of worry on his striking face.
"Adrien, It is fine. I genuinely want to do this." And I did.
It wasn't uncommon for children, especially royal children to be given to nursemaids. I vividly remember that Hella was nursed and fed by a nursemaid as well.
I wasn't adverse to the idea but I wanted to do this. Killian's cries echoed through the room and my body responded. My breasts felt swollen and my nipples ached and an irresistible urge to feed my baby consumed me.
I was still struggling with my straps, so I gave Killian to Adrien for a moment so I could undo them properly.
Killian was back in my arms a moment later and I guided him to a nipple. He attached his cute little mouth, suckling happily and resting a closed fist on my breast.
"Finally, a competitor I cannot win against or kill." Adrien chuckled. "He's a voracious little one, wanting you all to himself."
That made me laugh too.
"As much as it pains me, I have to go." Adrien groaned. "See you later little man." He whispered to Killian as he left a little kiss on the baby's head. He left one on my breast as well and I saw Ana look away with a blush from the corner of my eyes.
"That council meeting should almost be done. Your father will come to see you when he hears news of your recovery."
"I should have woken up earlier." I sighed sadly. I had caused a lot of worry with my continuous sleeping.
"Chin up, Snow. He would be very happy and relieved to know you're fine now." Adrien reassured
I smiled and nodded at his words. I was also excited that I would get to see my father. I had not seen my family in a while and when I became much stronger, I would visit them all at home.
"I'll be back soon, Love." Adrien said as he walked and vanished into nothingness.
Killian fed for a while before I burped him with Ana's help and he fell asleep.
"Where is his crib, Ana. Where has he been this whole time?" I asked as I lay Killian comfortably beside me on the bed.
"His room is in this wing of the palace, My lady."
"We're moving today. Ask that his crib and everything be moved to my bedchambers, I want to be close to my child." I caressed Killian's cheeks as he slept. I didn't want to look away for even a moment.
"Yes, My lady." She curtsied and went to carry out my instructions.
A while later, I received my second visitor since I woke up.
"Father!" I exclaimed happily
"Little one." His voice was filled with relief.
Leaving the comfort of the bed, I nestled in my father's arms and he hugged me for a minute, holding me to him with care.
"My baby," he murmured, rubbing a hand up and down my back. "you frightened me. I was going mad with the thought that you might never wake up."
He put me in front of him, and examined me looking from my head to my toes. "If only you had not Married Adrien. I would have not been so close to my deathbed these past weeks." He muttered with a heavy dose of annoyance.
"Adrien is not to blame, father." I defended hotly. "I would have eventually had children for whomever I married. Do not blame him for this."
"I understand, child. But I cannot help but place the blame at his feet."
"Come, father and take a look at Killian, you'll see that it was all worth it. He's a perfect little being." I pulled him to the side of the bed Kiliian was on.
Father's face filled with awe. "He's beautiful, Freya." He said and ran a hand through Killian's hair.
I basked in the glow of a happy and proud mother. "I would go through everything several more times, father, if it meant that I could keep this child."
Father spent the rest of the day with me, filling me in on everything I had missed and he only left when everything was set and it was time for me to move back to my room.
*******
"He's so pretty, aren't you, little baby, aren't you." Hella cooed and tickled Kiliian while he giggled wildly.
"Oh, Freya, I just want to take him home with me. I can't believe I'm an aunt."
"I doubt the king would allow that," Ishmael said from beside us, we had not noticed his presence. "He's quite taken with the little prince as well."
Hella stared at him with stars in her eyes. It was the common reaction he got from women, he was too beautiful for his own good. Hopefully it wasn't going to be a problem. Hella was still too young to actually understand whatever she thought she was feeling. With time, those childish fantasies would fade.
I looked across the garden to Adrien, and our eyes met. He winked at me and continued the conversation he was involved in.
We threw a party to celebrate the arrival of our prince and the improvement of my health. It was a small party that involved just the warlords and their families. I was very happy because it made me get to see Hella and Helena. I had missed them so much.
It was held outdoors, in this garden where I had met Adrien for the first time. Flowers were in full bloom and the garden held an array of pleasant colours and smells. I found it to be really cute and charming.
"He's a strong kid." Helena laughed as she and Hella struggled to reclaim a lock of Helena's hair that Killian held captive in his closed fist. He assumed it was playing and giggled as they struggled. Ishmael had to join in to help them too.
The whole scenery made me happy. I looked across at Adrien again and like he could feel my gaze, he looked up as well.
His eyes promised desires that I so yearned for and wanted him to fill right away. Adrien had kept a distance between us since I woke up and it was driving me insane.
I understood the distance during my pregnancy but I do not understand it now. It had been almost a month and he was still acting like I was too delicate for his touch.
Resolving my mind, I left Killian with my stepmother and sister, and purposefully strode across the garden, covering the distance between me and my husband. I did not know how but he was going to attend to me and he was going to do it now.
Adrien's eyes widened for a brief moment in their sockets when he saw the look in my eyes and my purposeful stride towards him, then another look took over his face.
He turned to the group he was with, saying something I couldn't pick to them and excusing himself. He then left the garden, disappearing into the palace through the nearest entrance.
Excitement coursed through my body, making me increase my pace.
"Freya." A voice called, stopping me in my tracks. I looked to the side to see Lord Lucian approaching me. He looked handsome and distinguished like he always did, walking towards me in that calm manner of his. He was ever in a hurry it seemed.
"Lord lucian." I greeted, I didn't want to stop at all but it would be rude not to.
"Of course, it is Queen Freya now. Pardon my reckless words." He laughed.
"I think it can be overlooked this one time, My lord." I laughed as well, hoping he would hurry.
"Congratulations on the birth of your Prince, and on your recovery. The whole of the underworld waited with bated breath as you slept," He suddenly paused, chasing a lightfly that hovered around his head. The insect flew around, refusing to leave.
"Darned insect." He muttered, increasing his efforts, and swinging his head this way and that.
He looked very amusing, losing his composure over a little fly and I could not help my laughter.
"I'm happy that my discomfort made you laugh , Queen freya." He grinned after the pesky fly left him alone.
"I'm sorry," I giggled. "You just looked so funny."
He watched me, too intently than I was comfortable with, his green eyes perusing a lot of details. My laughter came to an end.
"Thank you for your greeting, Lord Lucian, please enjoy the party." I smiled to hide my discomfort.
"Of course, My queen." He bowed a little as I walked past him.
I hoped I was overreacting and that such a situation never repeated itself because then, I would have to remind Lord Lucian whose wife I was now. I got to my destination.
When I entered through the door that Adrien used, A large hand immediately dragged me to the side. I bumped into a hard body and I inhaled the familiar smell of my husband.
"Hello, wife." He growled, attacking my neck with sensual kisses.
I whimpered, unable to control my reaction. This was not how I imagined it would go.
He then leaned away to look in my eyes.
"You're not properly expressing your pleasure to see me, Snow." He teased me. "From across the garden outside, your eyes told me you would be."
I couldn't respond to his teasing, my entire body was on fire and I was blinded by my desire for this man. I pulled him down to me, fusing our lips to each other.
I breathed out a sigh of pure relief and happiness. This was what I needed most at the moment. He soon took over the kiss, completely taking control and leaving me no choice but to hurry after him.
"Adrien," I moaned when he abandoned my mouth to kiss his way down to my breasts.
We were in the lounge which was the room closest to the garden and soon, someone would definitely stumble upon us.
Like we were thinking the same thing, he lifted me and I wrapped my legs around him. Our lips joined in that drugging kiss again. I ground my hips upon his hard member and he growled in response.
I felt him move and soon, my back was touching something soft and feathered. I sighed happily, but it ended in a long drawn moan when Adrien tweaked one of my pebbled nipples. I didn't care about the noise I was making, it was impossible to be quiet.
The palace walls were going to echo and bear testament to my long due pleasure and satisfaction.
