Sylvia woke up from her seat and went to the door to check who it was, when she opened the door she came eye to eye with Vera.Sylvia gasped out of shock.
"I am sorry we didn't tell you we were moving, it completely skipped my mind," Sylvia said.
"No need to worry, but how did you get here, I thought it was impossible to get a house in these lands, aren't they owned by the count?" Vera asked.
"Well we have Aldin to thank for that, he got the count to allocate us this land and he even built it," Sylvia said proud of her son.
"Wow," Vera said.
"But what brought you here?" Sylvia asked.
"Well, a delivery came in and since none of you was there, they knocked at my door and that was when I realised you had all moved, when they asked around they got your new location and here I am now, I joined them to come here and here I am." Vera said.
"Welcome, Join us for breakfast," Sylvia said and Vera walked in, they sat at the dinner table, Sylvia and Vera would chat as Lark and ALdin enjoyed their breakfast.
"Hey, Aldin after breakfast why don't you join me outside," Lark said.
After breakfast LArk and went outside.
"Aldin, when I was a kid my dad taught me some carpentry and farming, I know this will not be of much help to you but I hope you can learn something out of it," Lark said.
"Okay," Aldin said.
'May be sometime not practising magic will help me.
Aldin and lark for that day worked together to make a kitchen garden in their new backyard and even made some few things with carpentry, at noon they went back into the house, Vera was still there chatting with Sylvia.
When they walked in Sylvia remembered something she had forgotten to tell Aldin.
"Oh, and Aldin a box of books came over for you," Sylvia said, this was actually the package that had arrived for Aldin. " I took them to your room," Sylvia said.
"Okay, I'll go check them out once I am done with dad, I'll go check it out," Aldin said.
After lunch Aldin and Lark went back to their mini garden which wasn't very mini.
In the evening, when they were done, Aldin and Lark went into the house. Lark went inside next to Sylvia, and Aldin went up to his room. When he got into his room, he could see the huge pile of books placed on his desk. Aldin went over to his desk, he looked through the books. He could see various topics, but they all related to magic.
' these are probably the books Ariz said he'd send me.' Aldin thought to himself.
is that down on his desk and pick the first one he could reach. The book was about arrays.
from the moment started reading the pages he didn't feel like letting them go he said to his desk reading the book at an extremely first rate, before he was done he did not let go of the book.
After fully reading the book he closed it and place it on his desk he started back on his chair thinking back to what he had just read. All the information he was getting was mind blowing. It made him realised that arrays did not have as may limits as those he had placed on them himself. He began thinking of ways he could possibly use them, even in battle. He was about to sit back down on his desk and start reading once again but just then his mother came in and called him down for dinner.
When they were down fro dinner his mind seemd to drift away thinking of way he could use array in battle and the list was endless.
"Hey Aldin, eat your dinner before it gets cold," Sylvia said as dread washed over her as she remembered three years back when Aldin had been holed up in their family library together with Darvin reading.
"Okay," Aldin said and devoured all the food very fast.
"Mum, there is something I wanted to try out, is it alright if I use my training area, there is something I wanted to try out?" Aldin asked.
"Sure, but dont make any noise," Sylvia said.
"Okay," Aldin said before heading down to the basement.
Down at the basement Aldin closed the door behind him isolating himself in a room, that was more of a hall since it was larger than any of the floors.
Aldin walked to the closest edge to him and a stone desk and seat formed infront of him, from the wall, on top of it was a tablet.
Aldin picked up the tablet and using his mana and a bit of earth magic. He drew an array, imparting will into it once he was done he made the tablet paper thing then pointed it at outward where a light construct wall was. He poured mana into it and from it and a fire ball was fired.
Now it was time to try out the new trick he had just learnt, in the air Aldin isolated some mana in the air held on by his will. He shaped it to the same array he had made on the stone tablet but when he poured man into the array it just bloated and became bigger.
The array was not working, Aldin tried again and again but the same thing happened each time. It was getting annoying to Aldin.
He tried again and this time paying more attention to every detail. He was able to notice that the mana that would be poured in after making the array would merge in with it.
'If that's the case then I need to separate the array mana and the activation mana,' Aldin thought to himself having now found his solution.
"Let's giving it a try," Aldin said to himself but first he had to reduce it's size, he did so and aimed it at his target. He poured mana this time that was filled with will that was meant to use it as fuel.
And so after the mana was poured into the floating array and enough to initiate the attack, a fire ball was formed infront of it and it was fired instantly and hit the light construct at a very fast rate.
Aldin jumped up in joy of having solved his problem.
He started working on arrays try out his ideas gaining new insight on all of them.
At the end of it all, Aldin was satisfied with the results he had gotten, he walked out of the door to find the room dakr and his parents gone, he had stayed in his training room for a long time and his parents had already gone off to bed by the time he got out.
He went up to his room and as he was getting into bed he got the urge to get on his desk and pick out another but he knew how angry his mother would be when she found out so he just got into bed.
The next morning he woke up early to get on his desk and read another and this time it was on forging, as he read he got new ideas but he kept on reading but it got to a point where he was having difficulty keepin all his ideas in his head, he grabbed a blank book from his cabinet and began writing everything down, although he was writing as fast as he could he was unable to write fast enough, when he got back to his book his mother walked in and found him on his desk.
"Honey, did you stay at your desk all night?" Sylvia asked.
"No, i slept after finishing of my experiment and got into bed," Aldin answered.
"Okay, breakfast will be ready soon so once you are ready come down," Sylvia said.
ALdin knew getting late for breakfast would get himin trouble so he got into the shower, tried not to take long in the shower but ended up taking a long time then got dressed and came back down.
He took his books with him as he went down.
As he walked in breakfast was getting served.
"What are those books for Aldin?" Lark asked.
"Well, I asked for some books from Ariz as payment for making him armour and they arrived yesterday. I am currently going through it," Aldin said.
"What is it about then?" Sylvia asked curiously.
"It has to do with the forging but it mostly talks about using runes, array and their effects to forging," Aldin said.
"Wow," Lark said.
"It is very great, I ahd to get a book to write down all the ideas I had to try out," Aldin said.
"That's great, but first have your breakfast first, you can discuss all that later," Sylvia said placing their breakfast on the table.
