Aldin moved in another direction before he felt something up in a tree from his radar, he got close to where it was before he knew it a bird was coming down with its claws stretched out since he was prepared for it, he shot it with a condensed ice arrow and it fell from the sky, aLdin ran over to where it was and took out the knife he had used for cutting open the other beast and used it to cut open the phoenix.
From the other that he had cut through he noted that they all had their core in their chests.
'Maybe this one is the same as the others,' Aldin thought to himself and it was exactly as he thought.
He added it to a bag he had on the side, he was about to leave when he remembered that the bird's carcass could be used for alchemy, using a metal string he tied it to his side and went on to the next beast, for the following hour he found a giant water snake near a river running through the woods, a light attributed deer and a wind attributed eagle.
'Since I can get their cores at the guild, I'll just carry them there.
It was now two hours since he had entered the woods but the load on his side was too much to carry around the woods without bumping into anything.
"I should head back," Aldin said to himself and placed all of them in a box light construct and rose up to the sky and flew off to the city, he got there in a couple of minutes he could have gone faster but that would cause them to bang on each other.
"When he got to the city, he went to the guild directly," When he got in the receptionist called over Richard, and he came out and welcomed Aldin.
"How can we help you?" Richard asked.
"I wanted to get my beasts processed," Aldin said and that was when Richard noticed the floating light constructs in the air with beasts in it.
"Okay, right this way," Richard said and Aldin followed him outside to where they walked into a huge hall, there were several people, all of them working on carcasses. Richard and Aldin walked to the furthest end where they came to a huge man who was dismantling a giant turtle.
"Hello, Revin," Richard.
"Hello, Richard, what brings you here," Revin said looking up before going back to his work.
"I have a personal request and I was hoping you could do it right now," Richard said.
"I am a little tight right now, how about in an hour," Revin said still doing his work.
"Oh, what a bummer, but, I would like you to meet our honourable member, Aldin Randell," Richard said and Rvin looked up.
Revin looked at Aldin and a drop of sweat dripped from his forehead.
"You know what, I can make time right now,"
"Aldin leave them here, I will have them delivered home," Richard said.
"Actually we moved, you could send any of the count's knights they know where we live," Aldin said before dropping the magical beast on the desk of the Revin and walking away.
Those nearby heard it all.
"The Randells know the count," one of them said in realisation.
Aldin thought was on his way back home, he was reeking of sweat and he knew this but still, he did not use magic to clean himself up but he wanted to use it as an excuse to jump back into the shower.
He got into the shower immediately after getting into the house and took a very long shower, in the shower he felt so comfortable that his mana and aura went loose, mist filled the air and the temperature in the air stood stagnant at warm, his body, on the other hand, his body was emitting a warm coloured aura. He would have stayed there for ages if not for somebody who came into the compound and Aldin had to step out of the shower, he walked out slightly annoyed and the clothes from the said flew to him wrapping around his body, he walked out and met Richard with one of the guards, they had a cart with several jars with the extremely delicate items frozen in a jar, and the other in a big wooden box.
"Welcome," Aldin said with all his annoyance vanishing like a distant memory.
"Here are your items and the guard began carrying them, but a light construct wrapped around them and they floated in the air, and into the house.
"Thank you, how much will it cost me then?" Aldin asked.
"Nothing, the count settled your bill," Richard said.
"Okay, have a safe journey back," Aldin said and since everything had gotten in including the cores, he closed the door and followed the items into the basement.
'I need to make sure those frozen ones don't go bad,' Aldin thought to himself and formed a shelf then made an array that would ensure that they remained frozen for a long time.
Then next to it, he made a cabinet for all his other ingredients and into small shelves he placed them in.
'Now what do I do with all these,' Aldin thought to himself, he did not have any ideas.
'I'll read the book I have and maybe I'll have a clue on what to do, and so he went to his room and went through the books he had, he found one on alchemy and another peculiar on, Book of Alchemy, a compilation of ingredients and their uses.
He read through the two books to gain insight and indeed he did. From the information he had gotten he went down to his workplace, as he looked at all the ingredients he saw their effects and he began rearranging them, he did according to their uses.
'I will first try out a fire bomb,' Aldin thought to himself.
Going through the things I had, I took out the phoenix's throat, some of its blood, and some feathers.
This was not any recipe he had gotten, but just taking in all he knew from the books.
He ground the throat using a mortar and pestle. He mixed in the blood and some of the ground throat, he did not know what happened but an explosion occured before it could even get to Aldin, he had jumped back.
'Why did it react, it had no mana in it,' Aldin thought to himself, although he was not harmed. 'But may be their is in the blood.'
Aldin picked up the container with the blood in it and he could feel that it was a warm liquid, using devourers touch he tried to absorb the mana in it but everything in the container vanished into thin air and mana for Aldin.
He went back to refill the blood, as he poured it into the container he was holding, he could not help but look at it deeply in thought, his eyes focused on it and he his will dripped out without him knowing, he could sense the mana in the blood, now he knew this but there was no way in which this could help him.
'How do i get rid of the mana in it,' Aldin thought to himself.
But before he could come up with a solution his parents arrived, Aldin walked out to greet them.
"When did you come back?" Lark asked.
"I came back early since I was unable to keep on carrying my catch without drawing attention to myself or hindering my movement," Aldin said.
"Okay, since we have all caught up, we are all going into the kitchen to make dinner," Sylvia said.
And so they walked in, Lark made the bread and Sylvia and Aldin worked on the rest.
Once dinner was ready, Sylvia cooled the bread and they took everything to the dinner table.
And through dinner Aldin shared his adventures of the dayand his parents told him stories about their times as adventurers. After dinner they sat around a fire, courtesy of Aldin, when they were tired enough they went to bed.
"You should know, I am not as tired so I will do some accumulation before going to bed," Aldin said.
"Sure thing, don't mind us," Lark said in a playful tone that gave Aldin a slight shiver. They each went to their respective room, Aldin got on his bed and began accumulating but not in the direction of his parents room but all directions appart from their rooms, Aldin was calmly on his bed as he did this when a thought crept into his mind, he had been thinking of his failed experiment while still in bed.
"What if it try using my accumulation method to try and take in the mana in the blood," Aldin said to himself in his mind.
But knowing how his mother would react finding him there in this hour of the night, he chose rather not to go down there for his own safety and chose to get into bed and sleep.
