After witnessing Lark in action, Elio was intrigued by the technique and wanted to investigate it further but something happened to him stopping him from executing that thought. An invisible and unknown force drew his mind away from his body for a fraction of a fraction of an instant, where time moved so slowly that it seemed frozen. He was in a dark space when a figure that in no way looked human walked toward him, its shocking features drilled fear into Elio making him unable to move. As it got close his soul began trembling, not by the looks it had but by the fierce feeling it gave off.
'You do not deserve to learn that so don't you dare try to steal that from him,' It said not in words but in his head with his voice, the voice echoed bouncing through his head increasing the effect it had on him.
Before he knew it he was back in the real world and his body was frozen. He looked at the kid for a second before composing himself not to attract the attention of the others and thus another visit but this was something he would never forget in his entire life.
"But I'll teach you when we have time, how about that?" Lark asked Aldin rubbing his hand on his head.
"Okay!" Aldin shouted with glee that attracted awes from the onlookers, after all, they were seeing the kid Aldin interacting with his father like a normal kid.
"Then how about we have our game right now," Lark said looking over to Elio.
"Sure," Aldin said.
"Yes," Elio said immediately after Aldin's affirmation. It was in a stiff manner that shocked Strix.
Conjuring an enormous amount of mana without breaking a sweat, Elio created a dome around the compound with some extra space around it for movement, from the outside there was nothing that could be seen, but inside it the walls were white and the was a floor above everything else.
"Yay!," Aldin said gleefully and went up into the dome.
"So here are the rules, no weapons or anything weapon-related," Sylvia said on a light construct Elio had made to help her up. While saying this she was looking at nobody in particular but as she continued she looked over to Aldin. " One attribute only and it can only be tagged if the opponent's wrist is caught for at least four seconds,"
"Yes," Both father and son agree.
"Then Lark you're it," Sylvia said and at once Aldin zoomed to the other side in an instant.
"Good luck," Sylvia said patting her husband on the back.
Lark too went all out and zoomed away, he got to Aldin in a second, but before he could get his hands on Aldin, Aldin had gone behind him and this prompted Lark to turn and try to catch Aldin but when he turned Aldin was not there but above him.
Lark moved up to try and catch him but Aldin moved away fast before he could get caught.
The chase then began, every time Lark almost caught Aldin, Aldin escaped his grasp in an instant.
'I wish I could use magic to catch him,' Lark thought to himself and then it clicked, magic was still allowed.
As everyone was watching Lark stopped chasing Aldin. Aldin too stood in place curious about what was happening and before he could react a light construct chains formed around his arms connected to a huge light construct and the next second Lark was rushing to him. Without even thinking Aldin used his will to break Lark's control over the mana in the light constructs and it broke apart and Aldin sped away.
Lark was shocked and just stopped for a second. Even the three magic beasts were shocked.
Lark then tried it again, Aldin had stopped again and was looking over at Lark.
Without any warning, a huge box formed around Aldin trapping him in place. The box turned into mana and faded away.
Lark looked to Sylvia and signalled her to stop the game.
"Aldin come down," Sylvia said and Aldin appeared next to her.
"What is it?" Aldin asked when he was finally on the ground.
"Where did you learn that," Ursus rushed over to ask Aldin and grabbed him by his arms.
"What?" Aldin asked from the sudden question he had gotten.
"He taught himself," Xander said.
"What?!" Ursus asked shocked.
"Yes, it happened when he was almost arrested by some city guards," Alastor said.
"When did this happen," Xander asked looking at Leon for answers. He was fuming, this was the first time he heard that Aldin was almost arrested at the academy, Xander knew this because Aldin's parents were also shocked at this.
"One day while in the academy Aldin flew up to the sky and was almost caught by the city guards, one of the city guards almost hurt Aldin and to defend himself he created the technique at that moment," Leon said explaining himself.
"Oh how I wish you were earth attributed," Ursus said to himself. These beasts close to never picked disciples out of their race but from Strix's persuasion they were now doing so
"What is it exactly?" Sylvia asked expressing the confusion she and some others had.
"Aldin snatched the control of the spell from me," Lark said truly astonished by his son's talent.
"What!"Sylvia shouted, shocked at what Aldin could do. " How is that even possible?"
"It is an advanced use of will, but it needs a huge amount to accomplish," Ursus said." You really are a talented kid,"
"I have to ask, is there anything else miraculous he has done?" Sylvia asked.
"Oh yes, quite the list," Leon said responding in an instant.
He then began listing all the magic achievements Aldin had made within the year, Aldin kept on smiling as they said his achievements, he felt happy hearing the praise from all those around him.
Meanwhile, his parents, the knight and the third tower staff were questioning the validity of their mage status. All they heard sounded unbelievable.
"Is this all true," Ursus and Elio asked.
"Yes," Strix said.
"So the kid is talented in magic not attributes," Ursus said looking at Aldin.
'I wish he just had the earth attribute,' Ursus thought to himself.
"I am so proud of you," Sylvia said swallowing her jealousy. She hugged Aldin to prove it.
"So am I," Lark said joining in on the hug.
"Now, since it is midnight why don't we cut the cake," Sylvia said looking up at the sky.
"Yay!" Aldin screamed out with joy, then rushed over to the table where the cake was placed.
Everyone went to the table and as they wished Aldin a happy birthday as he cut his cake. They ate cake as they celebrated Aldin's birthday. A dark figure that could not be seen from miles away was looking down at the party with a smile on its face.
"Happy birthday young master," It said before vanishing.
The party proceeded well as the other began playing games, board games Xander brought, Isabella and Aldin though went aside from the others. They went back into the house and went up into Aldin's room, inside Aldin showed her all his prized possessions in his room.
Once everything was shown to Isabella, they stood by the window.
"How was training with her?" Aldin asked, down by the fact he could not see Isabella as often.
"Diffrent," Isabella said.
"Okay," Aldin said saddened.
"We miss you, all three of us, but if we can get the strength to help you then it's alright," Isabella said.
They stood there watching the moon for some time before they finally went back to the party. It was the final battle between Strix and Sylvia, after beating all the others they were the last players standing. In the end, Strix won beating Sylvia.
"Good game," Sylvia said having enjoyed the game she had just played.
"Good game," Strix said having enjoyed the game as well.
"And thank you," Sylvia said to Xander, " Because of you we could celebrate our son's birthday with him."
"It was nothing, he was to come here in the end," Xander said.
"What do you mean?" Sylvia asked.
"Since he had already finished his time at the academy, I thought it would be best if he came back home to stay and train some more. Staying at the tower would only benefit the tower. I believed it would be best if he stayed here and built his power in the Burmese woods," Xander said.
"What!? Those woods are extremely dangerous," Lark said. " I will not let my son go in there, it is too dangerous."
"You should know that your son, killed four sixth-tiered mages today and still adjusted an entire city, he is more than ready to take on the woods, and he needs a challenge to cross through the next two stages, keeping him cooped up in the tower will in no way benefit him, he needs to put in the effort," Xander said not wanting Aldin to rot in the tower doing nothing.
"Honey, he's right, if Aldin has to get to his maximum potential he needs to have it a little rough, we can't protect him forever," Sylvia said.
"If you say so, but if he has to go there I am going with him," Lark said.
"That's the spirit, and I will go with you to protect you," Xander said.
"Do you think I can protect myself, shouldn't we be worrying about Aldin?" Lark said offended.
"He made short work of four tier six mages at the same time, there is nothing that the beast in that wood could do to him, and even if they do try, Aldin will destroy them before they could find out what happened. You on the other hand may not be able to handle Aldin when he goes all out," Xander said.
"How sure are you, I'm a tier seven mage, I can handle myself," Lark said.
'No wonder Aldin is such a monster,' Many in the party thought to themselves.
"Have you awaken domain?" Xander asked.
"Not yet," Lark said wondering what it had to do with everything.
"Aldin, use will on your dad, but don't go all out, just use it strongly," Xander said.
"Okay," Aldin said smiling.
The next second Lark was on the ground fighting to not lose consciousness.
"I believe that is proof enough," Xander said.
