Lucas was awakened by the delightful melody of chirping birds.
Slowly, he rubbed his eyes with his furry paws, feeling the softness beneath him.
He couldn't shake off the drowsiness that still clung to him. With one eye barely open, he suddenly widened both of them when he realized he was resting on top of Kyra, still in his beast form, while she tightly clung to his body.
A blush crept across his cheeks as he shifted into his human form.
"Kyra," he gently shook her, attempting to wake her up.
"Hmmm... let me sleep a little longer," she mumbled, burying her head in his neck.
She smelled so nice, Lucas thought to himself.
However, he knew he had to wake up and request the day off, as he wanted to spend the day with Kyra.
Carefully, he removed her arms from his body, taking a moment to admire her beautiful face. The sight of her radiance promised a beautiful day ahead.
Lucas hurriedly made his way to the bathroom to freshen up. He indulged in his favorite, expensive shampoo, which he only used twice a month. Today was a special occasion, after all. After washing his face with a clean towel, he glanced at himself in the mirror.
"Hmmm... my dark circles have faded," he muttered, smirking. "Now I'll be the most handsome male again. Hehehe."
Feeling refreshed, Lucas quickly returned to the room and found Kyra already awake.
"Ummm..lucas" Her morning voice was sweet, and her hair was adorably messy. Her cheeks appeared fair and chubby as she rubbed her eyes.
"Good morning," she spoke, her voice filled with innocence.
"G-good morning," Lucas stammered, admiring her beauty.
If he considered himself the most handsome male, then Kyra was undoubtedly the most beautiful female.
"Wakey-wakey, Kyra! We're going out today," he said excitedly. "You go and wash up. Here's a towel. I'll get you some clothes."
"Hmm..." Kyra replied, rubbing her eyes. She moved sluggishly like a zombie towards the bathroom, clutching the towel. Mornings were clearly not her thing.
Lucas locked his door and hurriedly made his way to his neighbor's house, who also happened to be his best friend. He had many best friends but decided to pay a visit to Pablo instead of going to his mom's house, as it was quite far from his cottage.
Knock, knock, knock!
He knocked rapidly, calling out, "Pablo! Open the door!"
"What? Lucas, why are you disturbing my morning?" Pablo opened the door, revealing his handsome figure with a towel loosely wrapped around his waist and noticeable scratches on his body.
"Early in the morning, and you already got into a fight?" Lucas asked, observing the marks on pablo body.
"A single dog like you wouldn't understand anything," Pablo spoke, smirking.
"I'm not a single dog! Secondly, I am a wolf, not a dog, and thirdly, I already have a mate. And fourth, I need clothes for her," Lucas replied, his tone tinged with arrogance.
"You're so arrogant," Pablo remarked, his expression turning sour. "Well, in that case, I don't want to give you any clothes."
"If you don't give them to me," Lucas countered with arrogance, "then I'll have to resort to pleading with you. Pretty please, Pablo."
"Oh, do you remember how helpful I am? I've always been there for you in your times of need," Lucas pleaded again.
"Really? Then tell me how you've helped me," Pablo said, amused.
"I helped you carry your meat," Lucas replied confidently.
"And?" Pablo raised an eyebrow, smirking.
"And... and," Lucas scratched his head, trying to recall.
"Let me remind you of how you've helped me," Pablo interjected.
"Yeah... yeah, I'm a very helpful wolf," Lucas said cheerfully.
