" What do you mean by surprise? Is there anything you need to tell us?" Wongoner asked with his eyebrows narrowed. He was purely curious about Karl and his plans. About the first elder Ye Fan's llan to usurp the throne, literally he knew all about that. And he was waiting to see what Karl was capable of! Earlier, he thought Karl was good for nothing until he found out that he had some technique to hide, even his spiritual mark, which had been deemed as an impossible task in the whole cultivation world! And right now, he was waiting for Karl's response regarding this incident.
" Of course, my beloved uncle, it's just that some people around you who seem to be very much loyal to you is not loyal as you think! Karl looked at Wongoner's face. He began to study every single inch of his facial muscles and every slight movement on his face. As a master of understanding people's character by just looking at their faces, Karl tried to understand what thoughts were in that ugly head of his uncle. But to his surprise he couldn't understand anything! It was as if he had nothing inside his head! When he looked at his face, it was as if he was looking into a blank white paper.
This was the first time in his life he couldn't understand one's character by looking at his face!

Karl was astonished to see how Wongoner urged him to reveal the information he found out in front of all the officials in the Throne Room! Normally, no ruler would prefer to disclose information about rogue officials who had planned to overthrow him/ her from his position unless... he/she really wanted to remove him! Karl felt something was wrong!
He felt as if Wongoner had known everything from the beginning, and right now, he was trying to test Karl's abilities!

" Haahaha, good son! Good! " Wongoner laughed as if he felt proud of him! No one other than Karl and the First Elder Ye Fan knew all of these acts of him were fake!

A devilish grin appeared on Karl's face when he looked at him. This grin was enough to make Ye Fan feel troubled of what was about to happen!
' Why the fuck this brat mocked at me? Who does he think he is?' Ye Fan wondered. He began to ponder if he had done anything against Karl recently.
' I don't remember doing anything to him! Then why did he smile at me like that.
I don't feel good about this!'
As one of the main officials in the palace, he had always trusted his instincts up until now! His instincts were the tools which helped him in protecting himself from countless dangers he had met in his life!
And right now, he felt his instincts screaming continuously just like when he was in potential danger!
He began to shiver! Ye Fan began to shiver even before Karl did something!
" Well, then... The First Elder Ye Fan, I would like to ask a simple question from you. Is that okay with you?"
Now Ye Fan's fear skyrocketed. His instincts were so good that he began to curse it for being that much accurate about oncoming dangers. Before replying to Karl he smiled at him as if he was looking at his own son who had been raised by him since his birth.
" Of course, my Lord , if it's something that I can help you with! How can I reject helping you!"
Karl's wolfish grin developed more and more. And so the fear in the Eldr's heart too grew second by second!
" Then, can you tell me where did you spend last night? Were you at your home or away?"
This question hit like a lightning ball to the First Elder. His smile immediately vanished, and anyone could see sweat leaking from his forehead! This was something he never expected from Karl! According to him, there was no way a person like him could find out anything about his plans.
After putting up a forceful smile on his face, Ye Fan asked, " Hehe, my Lord, of course I can answer that question, but may I know why my personal behaviour became related to this incident? We are here to listen to your proof about the Empress's misbehaviour, isn't it?"

And now, he was sure that Karl knew something about his plans. This made him terrified, and at the same time, he felt angry because Karl came into his way!
' Why does this bastard have to block my way after all these time! I haven't even done anything to him or even his family! Why does he have to bear a grudge against me?'
" Well, do you have any proof regarding that except your guards and your family?" Karl pressed more.
" Huh? Why do you ask? You don't believe me? And besides, how can I prove that I was in my house except from my family and my guards?"
" Well, that means you don't have anything to prove, *sigh*" Karl sighed.
" What did you say? Huh! I don't have any proof?"
" Yes."
" Why do you say that? How can you be so confident about what you are saying! You know, even if you are the Crown Prince, it doesn't give you permission to slander someone, okay? "

Thinking he was right, he put on a confident smile on his face and replied," Of course, it is ! If you have enough proof that I was not at home on my bed as you say, I won't think twice to accept it as the truth. You should provide ENOUGH PROOF to prove that in front of the Holy Emperor, is that right, Crown Prince?"
Hearing this, Karl laughed like a maniac.
