Karl read the system prompt once again.
" System change? This is really something,huh? Well, I have to at least try this. After all, I don't have any attack power that can be used in that damn competition!"
Back in the meeting at the Royal Throne Room when Karl was forced to remain there for the rest of the meeting too, he was asked to participate in a contest named, ' Golden Lotus trials' which was held once in 4 years in the Royal Capital of the Holy Land of Light. Wongoner described it as a chance for him to prove his worth to the whole Empire, despite the fact that he was sweating profusely for an unknown reason. By that time, Karl didn't know the Emperor was surprised to see his talent to the point of waking up his long-time hidden chronic diseases once again.
Earlier, Karl tried to reject this idea politely, but when he mentioned the reward, he immediately accepted it despite the fact that he knew all of this was a deadly trap for him!
The reward was entrance to the ' Forebidden Garden' of the Royal Palace. According to Abigail, it was the same place where her father left him his collection of legendary items situated! In a moment, Karl understood this was not some sort of coincidence, but there may be a probability of finding some ancient artefacts.
" The top three places will be allowed to go there and find one of the legendary artefacts my father had left. I'm sure you won't be disappointed in my father's work."
That was what he said.
So, to get into the top three places, he really needed some attack skills! Otherwise, how would he win even a single match! Karl was troubled for some time because of the situation he was in, but now it seemed he had a way out of his misery!
No matter whether it was a trap or not, he decided to give it his full. That was the type of man he was. He wanted to do his best in anything, even if it would give him no benefits but death!
" Proceed..!!!" Karl ordered.

" Huh? Really." Karl sighed.
" Marina, my lovely servant, where are you~" Karl whispered methodically in such a way that a singer would sing a low pitch song.
Suddenly, a bright light appeared in front of him, and when the light was gone, Karl could see the sinful body of her divine servant.
" Wow! Marina, you always surprise me! Is it just my eyes, or are you really becoming more and more stunning and sophisticated?"
Marina was off guard when Karl said that. She gazed into her eyes slowly, only to find out the depth of his love for her - a love so pure and overwhelming that made her heart skip a beat! She felt her heart racing and each beat getting louder than the last, and she felt a gentle heat rise in her cheeks and her divine body.
' What, the-? Since when can a dog like him express feelings like that? How is that even possible? Ah, I totally forgot! This jerk is the god of sex and lust, after all!'
" Screw you! These silly acts of yours can't get me! You are a millennium too young to even think about seducing me like that!"
" What you are saying, I don't have feelings for you? How can you be so confident about that?"
" A jerk like you can't love anyone!"
" Hahaha, so you really are careful! Aren't you! Whoa, I'm really proud of you, and you are right. A jerk like me will never be able to love anyone!"
" I knew it!" Marina laughed nervously. Karl, who was unaware of the disappointment and sadness concealed within that nervous laughter, turned away from her and asked, " Hey, can you tell me what this is all about? This damn system never even gives a decent description!"
Marina waking up from her previous state blinked at him several times before looking at the status panel.
" Ah, this you want me to describe each class, right?"
Karl nodded.
" Well, it's like this. The first one, Ruler represents the passive subclasses! It's a class that is known for the ones who are born leaders. This class doesn't contain any major attack prowess, but still, it is considered one of the most valued classes in the entire universe. If one chooses this class, that person will be able to control the massive number of people at ease. He wields the psychic affinity of Magical Energy to control or even manipulate people's minds with ease. But.."
" But what?" Karl asked eagerly.
" But its major weakness is without enough people supporting him. All of his powers are useless! He will be defenceless when he is alone!"
" Well, that's definitely not the class I want."
" Yes, I know. Then let's look at the second one!"
Marina, who was wearing a pair of sunglasses and a pointer in her hand, began to explain everything displayed on a board created by her. Karl could feel her eloquent nature, which was amplified by excitement.
' She really likes lecturing others!' Karl sighed and continued to concentrate on the details.
" The second class, War Lord, is suitable for warriors who like to fight in the battlefield in order to become strong. Since this is one of the most famous classes, more and more youngesters have always been attracted to it. The excitement and the experience they could gain via fighting has become adventurous and refreshing feeling for them. Cultivators who master this class will gain immense strength and resilience and, more importantly, the will to conquer! Though they may not be as eager as conquerors, this will is widely recognised! The disadvantage of this class is that in battles, they are weaker for long-range attacks. Even though they can wield regenerative abilities, it's still not enough to cover the attacks of Rulers and Conquerors. The most important weakness is that war lords are extremely weaker for psychic attacks! They are very much vulnerable to these types of magical powers to the extent that even lower level Rulers can control higher level War Lords."
" Well, so that's also not my piece of cake either!"
" Yeah, I know! Then I'm going to the next one!"
Marina returned to her lecture.
" The final class, the most mysterious and the most difficult class the universe has ever known of! Welcome, Conqueror class!" With that, she began to clap in delight in a way that a child who got hold of his delicious snack after waiting for a long time.
" This class is known as ' The Impossible' because no one had ever mastered or become successful in this path. Almost all of them who chose this class ended up dying or going crazy. Since it's mysterious, no one knows its boons and banes. So almost every living person in the entire universe does not dare to master it as if selecting that class was ominous!"
" And unfortunately, according to your requirements, this is the only class you can master and that means..."
" That means what?" Karl ,who experienced how his courage and determination dwindled with each sentence Marina uttered regarding the Conqueror class, asked with frustration lacing in his voice.
" That means you are going to die, and I'm going to be free! HAHHAAHAA!" Marina laughed in such a way that a psychopath would laugh after taking down his prey. She laughed to her heart's content as if she were finally going to be free from the heavy burden she had on her shoulders in the past few days!
Hearing Marina's laughter, he felt as if he had just eaten something so vile that even his stomach turned in response to his burning emotions! He could feel his chest heating rapidly, trying to engulf him in extreme rage!
" BITCH! DO I HAVE TO REMIND YOU THAT I'M STILL YOUR FUCKING MASTER!" Karl roared.
Karl's reaction jolted Marina out from her fantasy world where there wasn't a person like Karl in her life, which she had been dreaming about! His coarse voice made the reality hit hard on her, making her eyes regain awareness of the situation she was in.
" Ah, I guess I became too emotional, right." Marina had never seen Karl getting this angry! This time, she knew she had just hit a nerve.
After looking at her face, which immediately diminished from the light that prevailed earlier, Karl's eyes became softer, and warmth began to glisten.
" Am I that bad as a master?" After sighing for a few times, he whispered softly.
Marina, who was looking down while shivers running down on her spine, became surprised by his words. She slowly looked up at him, and she once again saw that. A deep pure love which lingered in his eyes. His face was somewhat solemn, and she sensed that the anger she felt from him had gone subtle.
" Bastard, you are doing that again!"
" Do you think I don't love you? Right now, I can swear that I'm not using any kind of power."
Marina, bewildered by his words once again, got lost in thoughts! Her mind went blank by these words and remained astounded for a few seconds before deciding to check if what Karl was saying was true or not.
She used her divine senses to find out if there were any remains of divine energy. She checked again and again, but the result was the same.
" Are you really not using any powers on me?"
" What? Can't you believe even yourself now?"
Hearing these words, she had nothing to do other than accepting it as the truth.
" Marina, do you know? You are the only one I can trust with my life in this shitty world?" Karl asked in a voice which was filled with extreme sadness. Anyone who heard his voice could feel how desolate and hopeless his feelings were, which flowed along that broken voice. I may be a beast with no quality and no feelings according to your standards, but did you ever think if my behaviour wasn't like that, I would be able to survive in this world?"
Marina was a kindhearted girl who liked to help anyone in need. She hated strong bullying weak, and she hated mostly the meticulous scheming people planning to destroy others' lives. Till now, she hated Karl for the same reason as mentioned, but in a moment of clarity, she understood why he had to do things like that.
' After all, he just wanted to survive! Shit, why haven't I ever thought about it.' She sighed and cursed herself for being oblivious of how her master felt.
' A servant's duty is to satisfy his/her master!' She remembered what that higher being told her when she was about to be assigned as Karl's servant.
After understanding Karl's emotions, she went through an epiphany, which became one of the crucial points in both of their lives.
A new found determination appeared in her mind. She finally decided to completely succumb to Karl.
' I will never leave him alone. I will keep him happy and do my best to make him comfortable!'
" Ding...

Karl felt quite happy. After spending some time in that world and from the experience je gained from his past life, he understood that he wouldn't never be able to survive alone without a trusted one by his side. And out of all the women he had bonded, Karl felt more comfortable with Marina than everyone else.
Little did he know that this was another crucial decision in his life on the way of cultivation.
" So I have to choose Conqueror class, right?" Karl's heart sank after hearing what Marina had described earlier. He tried different possibilities for the system to recommend this class, but none seemed logical to him.
" Yes, don't worry, I think you will be able to master this class?"
" Why do you think so?" Astounded Karl asked.
" Well, it's just my gut feeling. After all, this class is the only class that has the evolution feature!"
" Huh? What does that mean?"
" That means wielders of this class have no limit to their growth. You can even say it's just unlimited!"
