After making sure he remembered every single detail of the blueprint and every step he should follow, developing the rail gun, he began to start the process as he sighed once again in frustration.
The more he observed the blueprint the more he found it complex and inapprehensable. The entire process required extreme control over the arcane power along with a 100% understanding of each and every part, included in the rail gun. The total amount of parts he had to make, was no less than 300 and the time required for the full production was 72 hours.
Karl slowly stretched out his palm. Little balls of arcane energy began to flock around his fingers emitting an ethereal glow, comforting both his body and soul.
" This is not enough," Karl murmured as he concentrated more to gather more magical energy.
The more he concentrated, he felt like he was drowning in a sea of magical energy, seemingly contained of mysterious and ancient aura. That feeling was addictive, which made him feel like he was wielding the ultimate power, allowing him to reign over the entire universe.
With that, the small flickering balls of energy began to merge with each other as he carefully followed each and every step in detail, with extreme carefulness. His thoughts moved through the blueprints including various circuits and mechanisms as he 'imagined' how the things should be.
Various equations and formulas appeared in his soul, blending with his imagination allowing him to materialize what he thought in a blink of an eye.
Drawing arcane power from the universe and engraving them with machinery was not something anyone could do. First, he had to find an equation that was suitable to the product he was targeting to make. Then, he had to find a way to make everything according to the equation that allows arcane power to funnel through a pathway that leads to transformation of energy to achieve the function he expected to. Every step had to follow with extreme caution allowing no mistakes, as even a subtle change of any fine step could lead to extreme danger! Malfunctioning was one of the biggest disatvantages in machine making. Though it had vast possibilities of evolving with unlimited potential, there was always hidden dangers lurking behind those boons making this subject tricky.
Karl, naturally knew all of these veiled threats as he treaded carefully on the path of his second product as a techno wizard.
Gradually, the energy particles began to merge with increasing speed, emitting divine and comforting beams of lights, forming different colours. Millions of reactions happened in an astounding speed, in a blink of an eye, generating energy fluctuations in the surroundings.
Marina looked at Karl who was lost in his imaginary world, in awe. For a moment she thought, if he was the Karl she knew, earlier. A seed of admiration and respect began to grow slowly in her mind, between all the negative emotions she harboured towards him.
' He is really handsome, when he is serious!'
A faint blush appeared in her smooth white cheeks, along with love and passion that were hidden deep in her concealed sea of thoughts. Her face was gaining red in colour like a white rose miraculously becoming red in response to the mysterious power named love!
Then a blinding light covered the entire frame, making the viewers unable to see what's going on. Even Marina had to cover her eyes with both of her hands, to protect herself from the intense arcane energy waves that burst from the direction where Karl was.
As the light started dwindling, Marina slowly uncovered her eyes and focused on the faintly glowing object on Karl's hands.
A moment of silence prevailed.
" What the fuck is that?" Marina gasped, closing her mouth with her hand. Even though, she tried her best not to laugh, the playful and mocking expression was visible in her eyes.
" Is that supposed to be dangerous?" Her tone was full of amusement and shock which made Karl exasperated who had been frustrated after noticing what he had made after the immense effort he had exerted.
" Ding...
Host has failed creating a rail gun in his first attempt. Instead he created a toy which looks like a rail gun.
Host has lost the chance to recieve the exclusive reward for the hidden achievement: Succeed the second quest in the first attempt."
Yes, he had created a toy rail gun which seemingly has the ability to shoot water instead of energy beams.!
A blue colured notification popped up in front of Karl's eyes.
" Fuck! You are telling me now? *sigh* You haven't still changed, huh?" Karl had a small bit of hope that after the system change the previous crappy qualities of the system could have changed but hearing the system's mocking notification he knew he had been once again fooled.
" Fuck, these sales tricks! You bastards again fooled me!" Karl yelled, intense anger and frustration bursting with his tone.
" Ding...
Since the host has failed in his first attempt, a hint will be provided to the host.
Hint:- Try making each part sepeartely and finally assembling to make the full product. "
Karl blinked at the system's new notification and muttered, " I think this one really has feelings, otherwise how can it give me a hint just after I cursed?"
Marina who also could see the pop-up notification began to voice her thoughts.
" Karl, I think you should follow the system's suggestions. After all this is the only way to advance in this path, isn't it? And don't you think it makes sense?" Marina uttered as she crossed her arms under her huge assests, laying on her chest!
Karl, turned towards her and smirked, " Yeah, that sure explains everything I needed to understand! But there is a problem?"
" What problem?" Marina looked at him in bewilderment.
Karl, looked at the system's notification panel which was blinking frantically emitting red colour. And in that background there was a warning message written in black, formatted bold.
" Warning..
Battery level is below 5%. Please recharge your system!"
Karl, turned his face, towards Marina with a predatory gaze locked onto her eyes. His eyes emitted hunger as of a predator looks at his prey.
A dawn of realization appeared in Marina's messy thoughts, caused by Karl's abnormal creepy look which was directed at her.
" No way!" She exclaimed, fear and expectation both mixing in her voice!
She was frozen like a deer in headlights, waiting for Karl's oncoming 'assault' , making her shiver in complicated feelings.
And then... let your imagination do all the work!
