"Hello everybody my name is Nicholas Federline and I will be your magic theory instructor for this year.". The student's reaction to the teacher was more energetic than expected, they immediately started pestering him with questions like "Is it true that some wizards can control time?" or "Can wizards really make love potions or is that just a myth?".
The teacher calmed them all down and said that if they wanted a question answered they should look in the library.
After that, he says "All right everyone I'm going to take roll call and when I say your names you should introduce yourselves to the class.", inwardly I sigh at the impending annoyance that my introduction will be.
The professor started listing down names and the students started telling their inane little introductions that were absolutely filled with useless info.
Finally, the professor called out my name, "The next one is… Jeldard Ustos, come out and introduce yourself. ".
I get up from my chair and start walking to the front of the class, of course with the same style as Ustos.
As I'm walking to the front people start chattering amongst themselves like the little rats that they are, in the middle of the walk someone stretches out their leg to trip me.
sighing inside I purposefully trip myself on the idiot's leg. as my center of mass rapidly changes its location and my body doesn't follow, I think to myself 'Damn, this magic better be worth it.'.
As I'm lying on the ground, everyone starts laughing, like seeing a burn victim fall down was the funniest thing they've seen all day.
I get up and dust off my robe, I memorize the face of whoever tripped me, with absolutely no ill intent.
I finally make it to the front of the class and start talking "Umm… H–Hello everyone my name is, uu– Jeldard Ustos, I am from the Ustos household an–and I hope we can all be friends.". The entire class starts laughing harder, which I suppose is a good thing.
"All right everyone enough laughing, the next is… Frederick Upperton, come on up.". As I walk back to my seat I bask in the greatness of my acting abilities.
After the roll call finally ended the teacher finally started to do his job. "All right everyone, this academy will teach you the first four stages of wizardry over four years. The first year is entirely devoted to gaining control over your souls.".
"In this class, you will learn the theory behind magic and mana, and how it affects the world we live in.'' All right his finale starting to talk about something interesting.
"our first listen will be about mana and its properties. So can anyone tell me what they know about mana?" a couple of people raised their hands. The teacher pointed at one at random "You, uu– Johanna was it?", the student nodded her head "Yes Johanna, what do you know about mana?".
"Mana is all around us and is the power that is utilized to do magic. ". "Also It is a gift for us from the gods." Another student added in.
"Yes you're both correct, but please don't talk without my permission.".
"Mana is an extremely versatile element holder, which, with enough exposure to different types of elements will soke them into itself and change its properties into sed element type. For example, a burning fire gives off a fire element so around it mana will gradually change into fire element mana. As more fire element mana appears around the fire it will burn hotter and stronger."
"If mana is left alone for enough time it will revert back to its natural form by giving off its stored element. But this is uncommon because the environment emanates many different types of elements.".
"Atmospheric mana is a mixed set of different types of mana. In most cases, it is a mix of water, air, fire, and earth mana, as those are the most dominant types of mana. mostly, one or two of the elements are more dominant than the rest. For example, in a mountainous region, earth and wind mana are more abundant than fire or water, or in an ocean, water mana is far more abundant than any other type of mana.".
"But there are more types of mana than just the basic four, there's also space mana, gravity mana, and even lava mana which is given off by erupting volcanoes." I was caught off guard by the gravity mana, did someone here discover gravity? How long ago? Who? Did other transmigrators tell them? Whatever, I'll figure that out later.
As I was about to continue listening, the bell began to ring, annoying.
Consulting the schedule I find that the next period will be about soul anatomy, very nice.
