Chapter 25 - Chapter 25

The only other way is by basically looking at another person's soul and just copping the layout over, but from what I can tell, this way has a lot of different risks and is much harder to pull off. Not to mention, if I try to use this method, I won't get my heart-stoppingly beautiful face, I'll just get some Rando's face, that won't even compare to a millionth of my original greatness. That just won't do. But maybe there is still hope, I don't understand most of the writings in the books I've read, probably because they are for third or second-years. My divine self should probably start from the basics, instead of jumping straight into healing magic. Returning to my dorm, I give Ustos a good slap just in case he is planning something, take off my clothes, and head straight to sleep. The next two weeks passed without anything changing, my great disguise was not seen through by these idiots, but who can blame them, their brains are so stupendously small that they probably can't even distinguish my lovely beauty from a disgusting housefly. I learned a lot, through my own studies and through the soul and mana classes. Surprisingly the teachers actually like me, probably because of the fact that I am one of the five people left over who actually writes their homework. I think that the instructors are not allowed to punish the students, because they are all nobility, and expelling someone due to not knowing anything or not writing homework is probably more trouble than it is worth for the academy. So the moment you join the academy, you are probably guaranteed to become a wizard, well at least if you don't extremely screwed up. I think the only person that can actually be expelled without any drama or backlash, is Ustos, which is annoying. Regarding the three dimwits, they're still annoying and throw the same insults, they have not thought of anything new, and I have to deal with these literal pea branes daily. I'm just very annoyed, they take a solid two hours out of my day and there is basically nothing I can do about it. My quillmanship has gotten better but unfortunately not as good as Ustos, the pore idiot's still writing my assignments. Speaking of Ustos the end of the month is coming up, so I suppose I should find out his signature. So I do what I've been planning for the last three weeks. I give him a piece of paper and tell him to write down his signature, then I give him a good punch in the face and tell him to write down his actual signature. Comparing them to the signatures I first forced him to write down I find that one of them matches well, while the other looks similar but has a couple of lines misaligned, it looks like he remembered it wrong. Well time to teach Ustos a listen not to lie, and after that write up that letter to send to his father. Looking at the letter in my hand I smile for I know, that one of the hindrances to my great and wonderful plan has been handled. "Dear Viscount Bigil Ustos I extend to you my cordial greetings as I take quill to parchment. Allow me to convey that all facets of my existence are currently attired in the garments of sophistication. My scholastic pursuits continue to progress, with the esteemed educators demonstrating a discerning inclination towards my endeavors, bestowing upon me a distinction that surpasses that accorded to certain peers. Regrettably, as anticipated, I find myself relegated to the fringes of social acceptance by my fellow students. Nevertheless, this isolation shall not dissuade me from fulfilling my duty to our esteemed lineage, steadfastly committed until the very denouement of my days. Yours faithfully, Jeldard Ustos" With that done, I peacefully go to bed, knowing that only one threat remains to my inevitable genius plan. Whilst sitting in mana theory class, I spot someone looking at me, strange. subtly turning my head, out of the corner of my eye I notice that they are a girl, one of the many students whose name I didn't bother to remember. Strange why is she looking at me, we've barely ever interacted. Well whatever probably just planning a prank on me or something, guess I'll avoid her for a while. As I am in the middle of a walk to the soul theory class a duo of people I refer to as the Wanna be dimwits, blocks my way. These guys aren't much of a threat, they just walk along with you and throw insults that their little shriveled-up pieces of neurons through up while in class, because judging by how many paper balls with classist comments they through at me they definitely don't listen to the teacher. But as I'm walking along acting as if I feel distressed and ashamed by their comments, the weirdest thing happens. Someone stands up for me. "All right guys knock it off, he's had enough already."
