As I enter the class and sit down on an empty chair, I wonder to myself about the previous lesson.
Much of the stuff the useless teacher talked about didn't go that far into the detail, like why does fire produce fire element or how does mana even hold elements? His explanation brought more questions than answers. I hope this class won't be as vague as the last one.
As I was thinking about how annoying the magic theory teacher is, the soul anatomy teacher walked into the room.
She's a woman dressed in blue wizard robes, she looks like she is in her 60s.
She starts talking "All right students, I'm running a bit late so I'll move straight on to the lesson.". Dear me, I am grateful, I don't have to do an introduction again.
"So students, does anyone here know what a soul is?", surprisingly no one raised their hand, I have no idea why. You'd expect that the idiots who know what mana is would also know what a soul is, but apparently not.
"As expected. When everyone talks about wizards they only really mention mana and magic circles. but one of the most important parts of wizards and even knights is their soul.".
"In this lesson, we will go into a general overview of the soul, we will talk about all the different parts that make the soul function. Hopefully, all of you listened to your anatomy class because if not, you guise are going to regret it, souls and bodies are greatly linked, so if you don't know what is going on inside of your body, your going to struggle a lot.".
"So let's get into it. Every living creature has a soul. Souls are a mostly perfect recreation of a being's body with mana. A soul serves a purpose similar to a suit of armor, it prevents mana from bleeding into the unprotected body.".
"Souls mostly do not need food or any other form of nutrients to sustain themselves, they power themselves by converting some of the reflected atmospheric mana into imprinted mana, which they naturally store in the mana core.".
"The outer layer of the soul reflects all the dangerous atmospheric mana, it is made of extremely condensed, imprinted mana, forming a hardened outer layer. The outer layer of the soul is not only located on the skin but also through the digestive tract and through a small part of the respiratory system, as all the food creatures eat, and is either filled with their own imprinted mana or filled with fire, water, or earth mana. The outer layer must constantly be sustained by imprinted mana, if the imprinted mana ceases, the outer layer will slowly get chipped away at by the atmospheric mana, and eventually there will be a mana breach.".
"If a mana breach occurs, the fiscal body will be exposed to atmospheric mana. Depending on the density of mana in the area and also on what type of mana is more abundant, different things may occur. For example, if you're in an area where the most abundant type of mana is earth and your arm is suffering a mana breach, it may start decomposing at an abnormal rate, or if you're in an area that has abundant water mana density, you're hand might start swelling. As the fiscal body starts to get damaged, the insides of souls also start to collapse.".
"After a mana breach, the soul naturally starts trying to fix itself. The optimal condition for the soul to fix a mana breach is in an area with a low abundance of atmospheric mana but a high abundance of natural mana, as natural mana, poses no threat to the fiscal body or the soul and it is also easier to convert into imprinted mana. The soul rebuilds itself by looking at the fiscal body and copying its layout with imprinted mana.".
"Imprinted mana is a special kind of mana that differs from soul to soul and is often used to confirm identities. That's why we made all students take imprinted mana tests. this is because every soul's imprinted mana has its own special color that it emits. however, its true purpose is as the fundamental building material for the soul. ". well I have found the magic shenanigan that can spot my great self wielding the identity of Ustos.
"The soul creates imprinted mana with one of the differences between a soul's and a body's layout, the mana cipher. The mana cipher is located where the lungs should be; it is a seed-shaped mana organ, and its task is to convert atmospheric mana into imprinted mana, It holds the densest amount of imprinted elements in the soul. As a creature respires, it takes in atmospheric mana, the mana cipher is located in the middle of the trachea.".
"After atmospheric mana goes into the mana cipher, it gets soaked in a high amount of imprinted element, and the element stored in the mana starts to get expelled, leaving only natural mana. The natural mana will then soak in the imprinted element, and with enough time, will become imprinted mana. When atmospheric mana gets turned into imprinted mana, it goes through a mana vessel connecting the mana core and the mana cipher. The leftover environmental elements will be pushed out, along with air, through the nose.".
"The presence of the imprinted element stays the same in the soul. While the imprinted mana particle may get damaged in any way, the imprinted element will always stay in the soul and get released from the mana particle. After so, the element will return to the mana cipher where it will bond with another mana particle.".
"The only time imprinted element will be lost is when a mana breach occurs. the leftover imprinted mana after the breach will mix with the atmospheric mana and the soul will not be able to return the imprinted element. In this situation, the mana cipher will convert a creature's calories into imprinted element, so the imprinted element will reach its natural level.".
"Mana vessels are blood vessels repurposed by the soul to transport imprinted mana throughout the body, which may be used for the outer layer or to repair a brea–", the clock tower starts chiming which recognizes the end of this lesson.
