Chapter 2 - Chapter 2 – The Old man’s Cursed

Alisha's face turned bright red with anger as she looked at the shattered glass on the floor. She threw after Sarah left. "How could she forget to send that email? So stupid!" she muttered to herself. "Doesn't she understand the importance of this meeting?"

Jenna, one of Alisha's secretaries, heard the sound of the glass shattering and quickly rushed into the room. "Ma'am, are you okay?" she asked nervously.

Alisha turned to Jenna, her eyes blazing with fury. "Did I ask you to come here? Leave me alone, Jenna, unless you want to be fired too!"

Jenna gulped nervously and quickly backed out of the room. She knew that Alisha could be very unpredictable when she was angry, and she didn't want to risk her job.

After a few minutes, Jenna gathered her courage and decided to call Joel, the janitor, to clean up the broken glass in Alisha's office. She knew that if she didn't take action, Alisha would just become angrier and more difficult to deal with.

"Hello, Joel? Can you come to Ma'am Alisha's office? She broke a glass and we need it cleaned up," Jenna said over the phone.

"Sure thing, Jenna. I'll be there in a minute," Joel replied.

When Joel arrived, Alisha was still fuming. "Why is it so hard to find competent employees these days?" she muttered under her breath.

Joel quickly got to work cleaning up the broken glass, making sure to be as quiet as possible. He knew that Alisha was in a foul mood and he didn't want to make things worse.

As he worked, Alisha continued to mutter to herself, occasionally throwing a paper or two across the room. Jenna stood nervously by the door, unsure of what to do.

Finally, after what seemed like hours, Alisha took a deep breath and stood up from her chair. "That's enough for today," she said curtly. "I need some time alone to think."

Without another word, Alisha walked out of the room, leaving Jenna and Joel standing there in silence. They knew that things weren't going to be easy with Alisha in charge, but they also knew that they had to keep working if they wanted to keep their jobs.

Alisha irritably picked up her phone and dialed Dwayne's number. "Hey, are you free for a coffee?" she asked.

"Sure, babe. Where do you want to meet?" Dwayne replied.

"There's a nice café near your place. How about we meet there?" Alisha suggested.

"Sounds good. I'll be there in 10 minutes," Dwayne said before hanging up.

Alisha arrived at the café first and ordered a cappuccino. She sat at a table near the window, watching people walk by. A few minutes later, Dwayne arrived and sat down across from her.

"So, what's been bothering you?" Dwayne asked, noticing the tension in Alisha's body language.

Alisha let out a deep sigh. "Work has been a nightmare lately. My secretary forgot to send an important email, and it messed up a meeting I had today. I fired her on the spot, but it doesn't change the fact that it's caused a lot of problems."

Dwayne frowned. "That's tough. You always work so hard, Alisha. Maybe you should take a break and relax for a bit."

Alisha shook her head. "I can't afford to take a break right now. There are too many things that need my attention. But I do need to figure out a way to manage my stress better. It's affecting my mood and our relationships."

Dwayne reached across the table and took Alisha's hand. "I'm here for you, babe. We'll figure it out together. Maybe we can plan a weekend getaway or something to help you unwind."

Alisha smiled at Dwayne's suggestion. "That sounds like a great idea. I appreciate your support, Dwayne. You always know how to make me feel better."

Dwayne smiled back at her. "Anything for you, Alisha. You're the most important thing in my life."

As Alisha and Dwayne made their way back to the office, Alisha noticed that she had left something behind. "Dwayne, can we stop by the office? I left my other things there," she said.

"Sure thing, babe," Dwayne replied.

As they arrived at the office, Alisha walked towards her desk, her heels clicking against the marble floor. Suddenly, her feet slid out from under her, and she fell hard on her back.

"What the hell?!" Alisha exclaimed, as she struggled to get back on her feet. She looked down and saw that the floor was soapy and wet. She turned to see Joel, the janitor, standing there with a mop in his hand.

"Joel! What the hell is wrong with you?! Look at this mess!" Alisha shouted, pointing to the soapy floor.

"I'm so sorry, Ms. Johnson. I didn't realize you were coming back so soon. I was just cleaning up," Joel explained, his voice trembling with fear.

"Cleaning up? You call this cleaning up? This is a disaster!" Alisha replied, her voice raising in anger.

Dwayne tried to calm her down. "Alisha, it was just an accident. Joel didn't mean to-"

"I don't care, Dwayne! This is unacceptable! I won't tolerate incompetence in my workplace!" Alisha snapped.

Joel bowed his head and apologized again, but Alisha wasn't listening. She was too busy berating him for his carelessness and lack of attention to detail. Dwayne looked on, feeling uncomfortable and embarrassed by Alisha's behavior.

Alisha started to slap the old man so he fell down to the floor, then she started to kick him with her high heels. Joel burst to cry and asked her to stop. Dwayne tried to stop Alisha but she was eager to hurt the janitor.

Dwayne stood in between Alisha and Joel, trying to calm her down. "Alisha, please calm down. It was an accident," he said.

But Alisha was too furious to listen. "An accident?! Do you see this bruise on my arm? I could've seriously hurt myself!" she yelled, pointing to her arm.

Joel tried to apologize again, "I'm so sorry, ma'am. I didn't mean to cause any harm. I was just trying to do my job."

But Alisha wasn't having it. "Your job? Your job is to keep this place clean and safe, not to put people's lives at risk!" she shouted.

Dwayne tried again, "Alisha, please, he's just an old man. Let's just go and forget about this."

But Alisha was not in the mood to let it go. "No, I will not forget about this. I want him fired! I want him out of here!"
