Chapter 1 - CHAPTER 1

  Elena

This was the most awaited day of my life, I would soon find out if Gael the King Alpha of the Light pack was my mate.

It was my eighteenth birthday and I was nervous. I want him to be the one, I've always dreamed of being the Queen Luna of the light park. It's not like I'd not bragged about being the awaited Luna, I have done that countless times now.

'Please be my mate Gael.' I said more to myself but Sara my wolf scoffed.

'Won't  you even wait for us to arrive?' For some reason I didn't know, Sara didn't feel attached to Gael and that's why I gave her a terrible pet name. Sara, it initially belonged to my long-dead cat and I didn't give a damn.

I didn't care what Sara wanted but all I wanted was Gael. I know he's brutal with zero mercy but that's exactly what I want. I want to be above only and to rule the packmercilesslys as the beast I was.

I wore the most beautiful she-wolf dress anyone would ever want to be in. My shoes equally complemented my looks and of course my platinum blonde hair. I would soon dye it silver because I wanted to match Gael.

I wonder why he had to dye his black though, I loved its black appearance more. Events from our last encounter displayed at the back of my mind and I smirked at the pouting Sara.

Gael being the busy type meant I would meet him in his office. I hate how he's always busy with his paperwork and for some reason it sucks.

We'd done some dirty things but I wanted more. I wanted him to pin me down, I wanted him to do wonders on me. Wonders that would make my wolf crave for more.

With our encounter and some dirty games, I could already tell he was crazy when it came to the game of love. He would not only be a good mate but also a wonderful father to our future generations.

I am sure no one would ever reject me for a mate. Be it a beta or the alpha. My dream was being mated to no one else but the king Alpha Gael. The taxi stopped and a huge Villa came into view.

This was not his pack but a hiding spot for himself when things got out of hand. I wonder why he suggested that we'd meet here anyway. Was it because he equally was nervous?

He might as well be wishing that I was his mate because we were already attached. It could also be because I was strong enough and would not be a liability during his reign as an Alpha.

I moved closer to him anticipating some sweet scent but what I got was different. I hugged him from behind but I felt nothing, the realization hit me that he was not my mate.

'Who the f*k is my mate?' My eyes became wet in an instant and Gael turned.

"Sorry about everything Elena, I equally felt nothing, my wolf felt nothing, Elena." He said and that broke my heart further. He hugged me tightly but I broke from the hug.

He was the Alpha so how come he could not force the Goddess of the moon to give me to him as a mate? Of course, none of this was his fault but someone had to carry the blame between the two of us.

I could not carry the blame because my anticipation was just too high. "I hope you find a weak mate you'll reject," I said walking wiping off my tears, and running away to who knows where.

I needed to clear my mind since I was currently sure Gael was not my mate. Who the f*k was my mate and vice versa who was his?

I held my long hair tightly and Sara scoffed. 'Pull yourself together Elena, it's not the end of the world.' I smirked in response.

'All you want is power right?' She asked and I agreed. 'Then hold on, our mate might also be an Alpha somewhere.' She said and I smirked.

'It would not be highly ranked than the light park.' My mind was in chaos and I needed somewhere to release my frustrations.

'How about playing in the forest?' She proposed and it's not like I had any disagreements. She had always been my greatest ally.

I ran around the forest for several rounds until I detected something. Sara was equally alarmed and warned. Quickly I turned into my human from finding my way out of the forest.

It would be late and rouges might be roaming around the forest finding souls to devour.  I walked back to my park talking to no one in particular, my mom was the Luna and my dad the Alpha but of course, I didn't want anyone from that park to be my mate.

"Call me Anorld," I ordered one of the park maids and she nodded walking away to avoid any fights with me because trust me, I would always pick fights with everyone.

The room was filled with a certain scent that sent electric shocks down my spine. 'Elena, concentrate.' Sara said and I froze. That could not be my mate, it was not Gael so it was so unworthy.

'Touch him Elene.' Sara proposed and I smirked inwardly. 'It can't be him, tell me it's not him Sara.' I said but she insisted I should touch him. 'How am I supposed to know, just touch him first.' 'Alright.' I agreed and touched his arms quickly avoiding him as a plague but I still felt the sparks.

I felt fascinated and I wanted more of his touch. He was my mate after all and I could feel Sara rejoice anticipating more. 'We finally found our mate Elena.' She happily as I moved closer to Anorld.

I pulled him in for a kiss and in no time he had pinned me down on the bed. I was lost in a different realm and the next time I woke up, I was well-tacked in my heavy blanket.

I snapped as pieces of my encounter with Arnold showcased in my mind. 'F*k you, Sara.' I cursed her for everything that happened. If she didn't get too out of hand then none of that would have happened.

Gael's last words are displayed at the back of my mind. "Simple just reject your mate and I reject mine.
