"I am some guy called... Death. You're saying I'm his reincarnation." Karvon said and he wanted to laugh, but seeing Silas and Juliet with serious faces he didn't know whether to believe them.
He has been alone his entire life. He grew up with a merchant who told him his parents threw him away.
And after years of trying to have that worth, nothing happened. No matter what, as long as he was a mortal, he doesn't have value and can never have value in the heavens... Because at the end, only power is valued.
"You seem conflicted and confused." Silas said to Karvon and the people around started chattering.
While Juliet looked beautiful, immaculate, and rich in her outfit, Silas hasn't bathed within the game for a while and dirt was stuck on his skin on different parts as a lot of things have happened.
"You both are crazy--"
"We might be... But what if it's true?" Silas said to Karvon who felt conflicted and confused about their words.
He was raised to look after himself and always be in the shadows of the cultivators. For him, cultivators we're the peak of power. If you offend and defeat one, another one at a higher level in power will come forward.
Now that Karvon was hearing that Silas and Juliet were both cultivators but of a different category, he imagined the possibility.
'If it's possible... If it's possible... No. They might be lying.' Karvon thought and then he folded his arms as he gazed at both of them alternatively.
"And why do you want to help me?" He asked.
Silas smirked as Karvon asked this question, he wasn't expecting it.
"I didn't expect you to be this sharp," Silas smiled. "The thing is that... I need allies."
"For what?" Karvon asked and then Silas walked forward towards Karvon and Karvon took a step back cautiously.
"Calm down. I just want to say something in a very low... sound." Silas said to Karvon and the boy nodded and then Silas moved close to him.
"The ultimate goal, is to take control over the heavens and bring forth a a new order. Change the heavens into a place where everyone is given a chance. Power being everything is not... A good thing." Silas whispered and Karvon looked at Silas as if he was looking at a mad man.
His expression was that of extreme shock and confusion.
"And how do you possibly want to achieve that?!" Karvon whispered loudly, almost burting out with his normal voice.
"Calm down. I have a way." Silas replied and he stepped back.
Karvon seemed to be thinking as he looked down. He remembered all the times cultivators has looked down on him and ridiculed him for the slightest things.
He remembered all others that were often humiliated and treated badly just cause they were mortals. It was just cruel of them not to care for human life.
"I'll give you today to think about it. I'll be back tomorrow." Silas said as he gestured for Juliet to follow him and he walked out of the alley he came from and Karvon just watched them leave.
He sat on his bench and a frail looking boy who was watching them from afar saw Karvon sitting down crying and then he went to sit with Karvon.
"What happened? Who were those people? What did they want?" The young boy said and then Karvon looked at him and then he looked forward and asked one question.
"Boro. If you had a chance to change your life for the better, but it's not guaranteed, would you go for it?" He asked and the frail boy beside him looked forward as he put a finger on his chin.
"If I'm the only one who's gaining something it's not going to be enjoyable. But if I can help others like me too, I would give it a try." Boro said and then he looked at Karvon's face.
"What exactly did those people tell you?" Boro asked and then Karvon smiled.
"Oh, nothing too serious. Only that I can help change the world." Karvon said with a smile and Boro who was beside him was quite... Confused.
...
Silas and Juliet emerged from an alley way back to the normal areas where people were going around.
He could sense a few auras of cultivators and then immediately they came out, a flying carriage with horses strapped to it was flying towards the exit of the kingdom.
"Look it's the king!!"
"No way, the king!!"
Silas and Juliet heard chatter and they looked towards the large castle in the middle of the kingdom which was just a few kilometres ahead and then they saw the flying golden carriage with a man on it who was wearing the native outfit of this world and a wrapped spear behind him.
He had bald head and was very muscular with a full beard on his chin. He held the reigns as the black creatures resembling reindeers sped up and the wind blown from the speed at which the king flew over hit Silas too and he blocked the dust from covering his eyes with his chi.
Soon, the dust settled down and then Silas looked at the golden light vanishing into the sky.
"Wow. That was impressive. I've never seen such a flying treasure before." Silas said as he saw the king fly over and he was extremely in awe of what he just saw.
"That's the king that rules this place and controls the guards." Juliet said and then she looked at Silas.
"Hm. We'll need more information on him for the future. Here, take this ring and gather as much information about the king as possible. I'll be back soon." Silas said as he handed over the storage ring to Juliet and she raised a brow in confusion.
"Some people might be difficult, just bribe them." Silas said as he looked at the corner of his vision.
[4:52pm]
It's almost time for the prisoners to be let out into the yard. He knew about such places as he has been there once... Not as a prisoner though...
"I'll be going now." Silas said and he was wrapped in a purple light and vanished.
Juliet sighed as she kept the ring on her finger and she looked around.
"I wonder why master would want info on the king. He didn't even explain why?" She put a finger on her jaw.
After five seconds Juliet chuckled as she shook her head.
"That's right. Master has always been the cunning, smart type. But I still wonder what his plan is." She said as she walked towards the same store they went before to do as she was told.
