Igando prison was one of the biggest prisons in Lagos state. It's security was tight, with a steep, high wall which was a little bit over seven metres high and was made of bricks wrapped in thin metal sheets.
No prisoner has ever been able to escape from this prison on their own.
Inside one of the prison cells, a young man layed on a bed with a silver helmet over his head and then his arms suddenly moved to remove the helmet.
Silas opened his beautiful purple eyes and looked around, it wasn't time yet for the doors to open but at least, let him get some work done.
"It's been a while, I still got more than five minutes." Silas said as he got out of bed and then he started doing pushups.
1...
5...
10...
20...
40...
Silas collapsed as he got to 58 push ups and then he looked at his left shoulder as he hurt from there. There was a stain on the bandage meaning he got shot there too.
'Shit. I thought I would surpass my 69 push ups record. I'm not surpassing anything with these injuries.' Silas thought as he used his shirt on the bed to wipe off his sweat and he then put it on.
*Beep!*
At that moment, all the cell door in the prison opened up.
{All prisoners should head down to the eatery and then to the yard! As usual!}
The speakers were very loud and then Silas' door was opened and he sat on the bed as he noticed people wearing the same orange outfit walking towards a direction and he just stayed and watched them
Swimming in a crowd like this isn't... Comfortable.
After the people passing became few, Silas went on and followed the remaining down to the eatery which was just a huge hall downstairs with a lot of chairs and tables. Long ones.
Silas saw a line of people and everyone collected a meal before they went to sit and Silas was close to the very end of the line so he knew that it was gonna be a while before he gets to the front.
...
After waiting more than ten minutes, Silas finally took a bunch of fried potatoes and a whitish liquid in a bowl which was chilled milk.
Silas was confused as this wasn't the rubbish that was given to everyone and the elderly woman who served him the food winked at him.
"Deputy Mark said to treat you well." She said and Silas nodded to her with a smile and then left with some people looking at him with frowns on their faces.
Silas found an empty table to sit at so he walked towards it.
'The people here are quite a lot.' Silas thought as he walked to the table, looking around at the other end of the halls which was over seventy metres away from him.
He sat on the table and then he began to eat the warm fries and drink the cold milk which was sweetened.
It wasn't up to twenty seconds when a big dude got to his side and put his food tray on the table beside Silas.
Silas stopped and looked around to see that five big guys were sitted around the table alongside him and they were all staring at him in confusion.
Silas ignored them and continued to eat his fries and then the guy next to him frowned even deeper.
"I see you're new here, punk." The guy beside him said and Silas nodded.
"Boy, this table is for the bosses only. So scram." Another of the guys said as he looked at Silas.
The first one was very big and bulky with arm tattoos, and a clean cut head with no hair. But this one was just almost plain with a normal body and physique, his hair were very long dreads and he looked dangerous, like a thug.
"Alright." Silas said but as he was about to stand up, the dread headed guy stopped him.
"Hold on a second. Where did you get that food from?" The dude asked and then Silas smiled.
"It's special treatment." Silas said and then the guy beside him switched their foods.
"What do you mean, no one gets special treatment in prison. Now talk." The guy said and Silas looked at the food that was switched for his own and it was just beans with a lot of oil in it but it was still very unappetizing to look at.
"Just give me my food and I'll get going." Silas said with a smile, provoking them on purpose.
"What did you just say?!" The guy beside him who was with his food looked at Silas and shouted and the prisoners all payed attention.
"What's going on?"
"Some new dude challenged bear."
"He's seeking his death maybe."
"Nah, he's missing death." One prisoner said and they laughed.
Bear, who was the person in front of Silas now looked at him quite enraged.
The other three people came up; the dreadhead, and the other two who looked like twins built with muscle. They were ripped with muscles but not as big as bear.
"I don't want any trouble." Silas said in a calm tone as. He gazed around with a bored expression.
"Oh, trouble you say. Don't worry, I'll go easy on you. You're only learning your lesson not to talk back to me when I do what I want, I'm the boss." The bulky guy said as he charged towards Silas and threw a heavy punch with his big arm.
Silas was very calm and observant, very aware at this moment. He moved his body a bit to the left and then with closed fingers and now spread them out and then he attacked Bear's chest in a single hit and then Silas jumped back.
"What did you just do?" Bear asked and then Silas only smirked and the other three bosses walked forward.
"What happened?" The guy with dreads asked as he walked forward and then Silas smiled at all of them.
"Seems like getting peace of mind in this prison can only be done with violence. All of you should come at the same time, I have a game to go back to." Silas said with a calm tone, wearing his calm, tranquil expression
