In the Everprot Kingdom, the greatest power they had was the Brayvion. It was said that it would take at least ten Arvus to defeat a Brayvion.
They were people of great power, and the Trials that they went through were ten times more difficult than those that went through the Arvus stage.
Arvus goes through the three trials of Arvent to attain Skill, Mind, and Strength. Once a man has succeeded in all three and has attained the Three Blessings, they head to the Everpot Kingdom's Magical Dungeon to claim the Blessing of One.
But a Brayvion only had one trial. It was a trial where only one in ten Arvus would survive.
The Everpot Kingdom had seventeen Brayvion. So a mysterious man appearing and killing four men so quickly brought alarm and an explosion of gossip.
No one dared to talk to Crystal during the boat ride, and everyone left her alone in her own quarters.
But this was when Crystal left and jumped into the river where Wintress waited.
The pair returned, and Crystal took off her clothes and wore her former attire.
With a bit of fire, she managed to turn the clothes dry and made her move towards the town again.
The night was no longer peaceful as almost everyone in town had left their rooms and observed the corpses of the four mercenaries who were slaughtered in a single slash.
Even the soldiers watching the town were wide awake as they continued to tell tales about the Arvus that had taken the trial of the Brayvion and never made it home.
"Kalester was said to be the hope of our region. But even he died in that Brayvion test. I never thought I'd ever see a Brayvion in my life…" The guard sighed.
"Hmmm…? Captain!" One of the soldiers alerted his superior.
The group looked at the darkness and saw a raptor moving towards them.
"A Hunter Raptor! Quick! Gather the men! The pack of Raptors may have been brought here by the slain of that Brayvion!"
Dozens of soldiers were called to arms as they ran towards the entrance of the town.
"Wait! Stop! I am a Beast Tamer!" A cry rang out.
Everyone was startled as the Raptor moved closer into the light.
Crystal appeared as she held onto the Raptor and stood before them.
Everyone was amazed at her beauty, and there was silence for a few seconds.
"I am a Beast Tamer traveling these lands, but the earthquake sent me into a cave. Luckily, I was able to tame this Raptor! Thank the gods for my luck! I wish safe passage back to Merchant's Rest!" Crystal cried out and explained.
She held and patted Wintress, whose head was leaning on her shoulder affectionately.
The crowd was amazed as they saw a beauty and a beast close together.
"A beast tamer?! I've heard of them!"
"I've heard of beast tamer, but how is one so young able to tame such a savage beast?" A scholarly man asked.
"Beautiful…" The captain watched Crystal, and it was like he was frozen stiff from the maiden's beauty.
The men in town all looked in awe at Crystal.
"Great Beauty Tamer, may I ask for your name?"
Several of the soldiers, including the captain, began to move in.
Many married men also strode forward, causing their wives to be full of rage.
The men surrounded Crystal, but Wintress gave a low growl and caused everyone to hesitate.
"Sorry! Wintress here is very shy." Crystal answered with a laugh.
But even with a raptor on her back, the men were still laughing and smiling, slowly trying to approach to gawk at the beauty of Crystal.
Many women approached, and the wives were pulling their husbands back.
But it was as if they were in a trance.
"Wait!" One of the women finally cried in anger.
They held several spears and were part of another mercenary group.
Their eyes burned with rage as they glanced at Crystal.
"I've heard… that one of the mercenaries was looking for a woman! Could this be the woman?" One of the spear-maiden shouted.
"That's right! I heard it, too! She might be the criminal the Sword Quest mercenary group is after!" A woman from the crowd also added.
"Arrest her!" The captain of the Spear-Blade Maidens demanded her arrest.
The captain of the soldiers frowned.
"For what excuse? This maiden is lost and terrified by the earthquake! We were deployed here to quell the dangers and help those in need from the fallen mountain range!"
"Quell the dangers and help those in need? You've been doing nothing but standing here these past days, and you throw yourself to the first beauty you see, pretending to be some hero!" The Spear-Blade Captain shouted back.
More demanded for Crystal's arrest.
Crystal watched and narrowed her eyes.
"Adam did say that women would be jealous… But this is ridiculous!" She secretly cursed.
"She tames a Hunter Raptor! She must be a witch!"
"That's right! Beasts Masters tame animals that chew the cud! This is a beast of blood! She can only be a witch!"
"Stupid men! Arrest that bitch!"
"Let's not be too quick to accuse!" The captain of the soldiers tried to speak.
Many others spoke.
"If you do not capture her, we, the Spear Blades, will reveal all… illegalities that the soldiers of this place have been making!" The spear maiden gave the captain a meaningful look.
The captain suddenly froze as he glanced back at the Spear Blade captain, who was sneering.
Many other men suddenly fell silent.
Crystal watched the soldiers begin to retreat at the women's advance.
"I… do not understand. Is there a fugitive to be arrested? Why am I the fugitive now? What is the identity of this woman?"
"It is simply a woman! And you are one!" The spear-maiden captain shouted.
"Aren't all the Spear Blade's women?" Crystal frowned.
"Silence! We are more than just women! We are the Spear Blades! You will be under arrest until the Sword Quest arrives and confirms your identity! Arrest her!"
"Yes, captain!"
Three of the spear blades marched forward with their spears in hand.
"Tell your beast to crouch! Or else…!"
Crystal sighed as she took a step forward. Her hand was outstretched as if she was giving herself up.
The Spear Blades sneered and moved to arrest her.
But unknown to them, Crystal had already completed eight revolutions of ice!
