The car finally stopped at the junkyard area of the entire city, which was the ground. They rarely stepped into the ground. It was either the garbage carrier who would come to dump months of garbage here or the police who arrived here to clear up the thugs who lived and participated in multiple crimes.
It was said that a group of local mafia gangs had been hiding there and stole a few things from the rich families. Thus, Liu Yang decided to go there the moment their location was revealed. This little case was by no means dangerous since the police only had to make a deal with them so that these people's needs were fulfilled, and they didn't have to steal another thing again.
Xu Jun was inside the car when it stopped above the ground; he looked about curiously and frowned.
This place was full of junk. Thankfully, they were inside an enclosed car.
"Stay inside until I appear."
Xu Jun knew he would have to follow the man somehow if he had to save him. But he wouldn't reveal this plan so soon.
He nodded and smiled innocently. "I'll wait here."
Liu Yang felt like this kid had suddenly become obedient all of a sudden and relaxed his shoulders a bit. He pushed open the door and walked out, shutting the door behind him.
Now, there was only Xu Jun left inside the car, who opened the screen from before once again. Actually, opening the screen wasn't any difficult for him because it was always there. He was born with it, and he would always see that screen in front of his eyes.
It was only after growing up a little did he realized it wasn't in any way normal. Thus, he started to find ways to get rid of that little transparent screen in front of him only to realize the second time that he would just have to think of its disappearance and it would vanish without a trace!
Little Xu Jun played a lot with this screen, and it was this screen that had been with him at all times despite whatever the hell of a life he was living.
Thus, he opened it once again with his thoughts and stared at the screen with only one pop-up and nothing else.
Ah, if only he could buy props in real time like those cool games in movies and novels…..
Xu Jun looked at the progress bar that was stuck to 1% at the bottom as his bottom lips jutted out. He closed it and looked around the car.
The man had locked the car, didn't he?
He reached out for the door, and surprisingly, his side of the door was unlocked. His eyebrows raised his surprise as a blossoming emotion filled his heart.
The door is unlocked! Surely, the big brother forgot to lock it!
He pushed open the door and glanced about, searching for the man hither and thither.
Let's see…. All he had to do was block an attack, right?
At this time, even little Xu Jun didn't realize the intricacies of his situation. By blocking an attack, he merely thought it would be a punch or something. Worse, it should be a kick. But he could handle that much, right?
Of course, he failed to realize that he hadn't seen many modern movies, and he didn't even know a single thing about the latest technologies, especially those laser guns that criminals use a lot these days.
Thus, he happily snuck out, taking advantage of the fact that the man had forgotten to keep the door open. But as he continued walking, the thick odor of garbage hit his nose, making his nose wrinkled. He covered up his nose, but it was damn useless.
At the same time, a little distance away, some people were running back to where he was standing, making Xu Jun's face pale as he looked around for hiding. He rushed over and finally hid behind a huge garbage pile as he peeked there.
Two people were talking there as they stood side by side, a little exhausted from all the running. Their outfits were smudged with traces of dirt all over the place.
The older man with gray hair and a gray beard all over his chin pushed his hair back as he clicked his tongue. "That damned police chief! He is ready for all kinds of arguments!"
"Tsk, you're afraid already?" Another younger man with red hair said, "Wasn't it your idea to lure him in here and get rid of that jackass who had always been a pain in our butts?"
Xu Jun's eyes widened as he watched them talk. His breathing increased as his face paled upon hearing their words.
Luring him here? Was it their trick?!
Although he didn't know what kind of work was there, he didn't see the man carrying a gun with him. So little Xu Jun assumed that the police weren't here to catch the thieves but now, he had started to believe otherwise.
He continued hiding as he gulped and continued hearing from the side.
"Yeah yeah," the older man waved his hand. "Since he has come prepared, we will be prepared too."
"But what about our chief?" the younger man gripped his hair in frustration. "He also purely wants to make a deal! How can he do this to us? Stealing is way better than making a deal with this fucking white shirts and black tied up there!
"It's only a matter of time until our resources are again stolen and we are pushed to the bottom again like years ago! That's how my sister starved to death! I can't let those fuckers repeat the history all over again!"
"Me neither." The older man's eyes were firm and dark as he said, "I have a plan. Let's do something to make our chief believe that the police didn't come here for a deal but to kill them all."
"Yeah, but how will we do that?"
"Just come with me." The older man showed a hint of irritation in his eyes as he pushed back his hair. "We just have to point fingers and plant a weapon on his side. That's it."
"But we don't have anything of his caliber..." The younger man's eyes widened as he saw the man pulling out a police laser rifle from his pockets smoothly. "No way, you stole this from the police?! When?!"
"That's not important." The older man smirked as he said, "That officer's going to die. He didn't even come with a weapon to maintain the authenticity of this deal. Let's go."
