Chereads / A Heavenly God's Obsession (QT) / Chapter 10 - A Terrible Decision

Chapter 10 - A Terrible Decision

Liu Yang, who was now surrounded by many thieves with laser guns and metal chains, scoffed. He knew something like this would happen. Even though the chances of them refusing to sign the deal was close to zero, he was still mentally prepared for this. After all, a dog's tail can never be straightened no matter what.

The corners of his lips lifted to form a cold smile as he glanced at the chief of the thieves. "So this is how you reply to my sincerity. What a pity, I really wanted to change our relationship and change this place. Too bad, I'll have to step on you cockroaches to transform this place now."

Xu Jun felt his heart jumping in his throat once he saw these people surrounding the man, who was still without a weapon. He didn't know what to do anymore as he stood there, completely stunned.

No, what to do? How should he save his obsession?

No, he had to do something about it. He had to—

Before he could think of something, he saw with widened eyes the big brother jumping from his position as the laser guns were shot from all the sides at the same time. Of course, being a professional at this, Liu Yang dodged the attack pretty well. His body moved smoothly as if he didn't have a single bone in his body.

After dodging a few attacks, he sneakily moved behind someone and snatched the gun while killing him at the same time. His moves were so fast that no one could see what had happened until a few people were shot dead under his gun.

It wasn't until all of the subordinates except the two standing beside their chief were dead did Liu Yang stop and raised his hand holding an old laser gun as he stared coldly toward the trio.

"This is an old batch. You're still using this thing?" He waved his hand slightly and held the gun as he said, "No wonder you guys are still only thieves."

Xu Jun, still sneakily glancing inside, was so surprised seeing this that his eyes remained widened. His glance stuck at the man who stood elegantly, looking like some kind of superhero from a movie.

Gosh, that was so, so cool! Just how did he do that?!

His throat went dry as he continued to stare at the man as the man himself spoke up, "Hey kid, didn't I tell you to stay in the car and wait for me to return?"

Xu Jun was stunned hearing those words.

Was the man talking to him?

"Yes, the one hiding outside the window. Come out."

Xu Jun had no choice now but to crawl out of his hiding place. He slowly stood up as he glanced inside with a trace of guilt written all over his face, but even though he was guilty of sneaking around in this dangerous place, he would repeat this once again, following the man into any kind of hellish situation.

But these words…. He would never ever speak those words out loud. He stood there outside the window awkwardly as he saw the man walking toward the window backwards and jumping out, lifting up the little guy easily with one hand, still pointing his gun toward the trio inside.

"I'll be off. I guess the deal is off now."

After saying that, he continued walking backward until he couldn't see those people anymore and turned around, rushing out of this place at once. He called Li Na, his immediate subordinate as he continued holding the youth in his place on his shoulders.

Xu Jun heard as the man spoke to the same lady he had met before. "Yes, they didn't want to. Come and clean this up. I don't want to be involved in this mess."

The little boy blinked as he pulled up the screen from before, thinking the danger was pushed away by the man. So the mission goal must have changed. But when he opened the screen and noticed the same line once again, his body stiffened.

No way, there was still danger?!

As he was sitting on the man's shoulder peacefully, he watched as a red dot from somewhere flashed at Liu Yang's neck, blinking softly. It almost felt like a soft spot that was brushing the base of his neck, seeming like a beautiful moving tattoo.

But Xu Jun this thing wasn't anything beautiful as it looked. He gasped as he said, "Big brother! Careful!"

The moment he spoke those words, he heard the sound of something being shot. Instinctively, he moved in the place of the dot, replacing the man's neck with his shoulders. Thus, the moment the bullet came, it directly hit the kid's shoulders, entering deep into his bones before stopping.

Liu Yang's body froze for a second.

He knew exactly what had happened, but didn't he defeat them all? According to the info he found on them, there were only ten people in his group and others were still out. Some were locked while others were on other missions, not seeming to return for another week.

How did this happen?!

No, he didn't have enough time for this.

He heard the little guy on his shoulders screaming into his ears and Liu Yang immediately knew the little kid blocked his attack. For a moment, his entire body turned frozen white as his heart sank.

Even though he was cold to this kid, it didn't mean he would let the little guy die saving him! Sh*t, who told this guy to block that attack that was directed at him?!

It seemed the attacker had realized his attack wasn't fruitful as he flashed another red dot on Liu Yang's at once.

The latter held the boy tighter as he launched himself toward his car. A bead of cold sweat formed on his forehead as he gripped the little guy in his arms tighter.

If something happened to this little guy, he would never forgive himself for making this terrible decision!
