Xu Jun was finally back in that same familiar house after spending a few hours in the hospital. He sighed in relief as he walked outside the car and walked onward, trotting behind the man who was still dressed up as an officer.
His eyes stared at the man with a hint of obsession as he felt a trace of warmth covering up his heart.
No wonder that window told him this person was his obsession. Only this person was capable of making him feel so many warm emotions.
It almost felt like the Gods decided to give him mercy in exchange of the terrible childhood days he spent with his so-called parents. Clearly, this big brother who didn't have a single trace of blood relationship with him was way better than those hypocrites!
His eyes stuck at the man's enchanting face as he continued to stare until the man stopped, and he bumped head-first into him, rubbing his nose slightly as he sneezed.
Liu Yang frowned and turned around, looking down at the young boy looking up with his red cheeks and misty glance. His heart remained cold as ever. Even he didn't know why he was feeling so cold for this young boy when he loved children.
He would never know.
In any case, he had to take care of this little kid until his injuries were healed. After that, it would be better to find him a family where he could grow up smoothly.
Then he would have nothing to do with any kid who would barge in his life just like that.
As he was looking, the kid sneezed once again, rubbing his nose until it turned red.
Liu Yang turned around and opened the door, saying, "Come in. don't sneeze yourself to death."
Xu Jun's eyes sparkled as he nodded, jumping inside the house.
Surely, this big brother was very good! The man even invited him to his house seeing he sneezed! Ah, so compassionate!
After entering the house, Xu Jun stood there awkwardly, turned around to stare at the man who played the keys on the hanger. He took off his shirt and placed it on the shelf after folding it. Then he proceeded to take off his pants only to remember something.
He turned around only to glance upon the kid who was blushing as he stared at the man.
"Let's go. I'll bathe you."
Xu Jun hadn't seen another person naked before. It was his father's duty to bathe him when young, but that was something he never got to experience. Even on the television, he was only given kids' shows to stop him from knowing more about the outside world.
Thus, when he saw a man stripping off his robes, his face reddened as he stared curiously at the big brother's body, pursing his lips.
Big brother looks so good! Ah, if he could, he would want to continue to stare at the man for eternity!
Liu Yang felt as if he had turned into a statue placed in a museum at which a random kid was staring at with curiosity.
He coughed and grabbed the kid's arms since he wasn't saying anything. Bathing was important because this kid hadn't washed up for God knows how long. It had already been a day ever since he found this kid hiding in the bushes.
He turned on the warm water in the tub and placed the kid inside. He was still wearing his pants, which he took off since he still needed his office suit in case of emergencies.
After that, he started stripping the little kid.
"Wait!" Xu Jun felt extremely embarrassed when the man started stripping him with such a cold expression on his face. He blushed even more and said, "I'll do it myself!"
"Oh?" Liu Yang was only being kind when he started stripping. The doctor had told him not to let the young man move his arms here and there before the medicine would heal him, which would only take a couple of hours.
But….. Since this guy didn't want his help, he wouldn't touch the kid. After all, this was the first time his intuition told him desperately to stay away from this child. Why? He still didn't know.
Thus, he put his hands down and got up, folding them on his chest as he leaned against the wall, looking down at the child coldly. "Go ahead."
Xu Jun had expected the man to continue to strip him, but when he didn't, a trace of disappointment filled his heart. He pursed his lips, but he didn't speak out his emotions, still feeling warmed.
Right now, all he was thinking was that even though the man didn't help him, it was still better. After all, even Xu Jun needed to be independent, right? He was already ten years old, a big man!
This thought filled the young boy's heart with a trace of warmth once again as his eyes gleamed when he looked up. He chirped, "Okay!"
Liu Yang felt the corner of his lips twitching.
This was the first time he had seen such an ignorant kid. He had already treating the boy coldly ever since they met, but who knows from where this kid brought forth so much excitement and bubbly emotions, grinning at everything he did?
He sighed and squatted on the ground.
Nevermind. He would help him. It was only for a few days, right?
"Let it be." Liu Yang said as he grabbed the kid's wrist, who was trying to take off his shirt but couldn't because of the crust attached to his shoulders.
He carefully took it off, revealing a pale skin underneath full of marks?
Liu Yang frowned as he stared. His fingers touched those marks as he raised his head and asked, "Who did this?"
"This…." Xu Jun pursed his lips at that memory and shook his head. "Them."
Liu Yang knew what this child meant by saying them. Honestly speaking, this person was extremely pitiful. Why did he not want to be close to such a kid who looked adorable? His heart remained as cold as ever even after seeing those marks.
