Xu Jun felt his body trembling as he pursed his lips and stared at the two men with a hint of intense hatred in his eyes. If he could, he would have killed these people already!
Ever since a child, he had been weird. Aside from fear, hatred, anger, he would feel nothing else. Of course, he had felt it was a good thing since he didn't want to get attached to those people who didn't care about him a single bit.
But now that he had gotten a hint of that warm emotion that would flood his heart upon a single glance at the man's beautiful face. Now that he had gotten a taste of what it feels like to feel loved, he didn't want to let go.
Even if he couldn't stay close to the man, he at least wanted to keep the man alive so that he could see the man's face and feel blossoms in his heart once again.
He opened the screen at once that only he could see from his naked eyes and looked at the pop-up screen once again, which told him about the mission.
It was still the same as ever, telling him to block an attack for his obsession.
Xu Jun frowned as he decided to follow these two men. In any case, he had a lot of habit sneaking right and left as he would run away from home several times. Thus, after finishing their talk, the two men rushed back, followed by a sneaky little kid.
The trio finally came into a small hut-like place, surrounded by garbage. Since it was a matter of life and death, the smell of garbage didn't trouble the little boy anymore.
They finally ended up inside as Xu Jun hid outside and sneaked toward a window, not even daring to lift his head. He only squatted there and craned his neck up to hear what was being discussed inside.
An old man laughed as he spoke, "Chief officer Liu Yang, you are a gem. Why didn't we do this all those months ago when we could have striked such a good deal and made peace with one another?" The man sighed and said, "You managed to fulfill all of our demands without losing your side. Since we have all agreed with everything, I say, we should sign the documents."
"Mr. Wang, you can take your time and read the documents once again." Liu Yang's familiar voice echoed into the background, making Xi Jun's heart feel a thump. "After all I don't want us to have any doubts between us when signing the documents. I want to satisfy all of your needs."
The old man chuckled once again as he patted the table, saying, "Alright, give us a few more days. I'll read it once again, but honestly, you have proved time and time again to be a trustable person. So I'll believe you and continue to follow you."
After saying that, he had just picked up the pen to sign the paper documents when the old man from before spoke up at once. "Wait a minute. This man is lying."
The chief of thieves paused and looked back, still holding the pen, but his face held a hint of darkness in his eyes as he stared at the man standing beside him.
These two weren't happy with his desire to make a deal, but as the days passed, even the thief chief knew that they couldn't continue to survive by mere stealing. It was either they could do something big and snatch a big amount of money at a single time or make a deal that could maintain the finances of his group for the next couple of years.
But he also knew that such a deal wasn't a full proof plan, and he didn't really want to continue following this deal until necessary. Of course, after a few years, he was already going to destroy this deal, but until then, he still needed to pretend to become a civilian to fool these officers.
Liu Yang seemed to be innocent and naive in these areas, being only a newly appointed chief, and Wang wanted to use this opportunity to strike this deal and get as many benefits as he could.
But his two followers were stupid as f*cks! How could they not see how he was only thinking for their benefit?
The old chief didn't want to explain himself too much, and he wouldn't even talk to his subordinates unless necessary. Thus, he remained silent even when that man with gray hair spoke up once again, silently glaring at the man to not do something funny.
But the other person with gray hair didn't think he was doing anything wrong. He was merely annoyed by his chief's activity of always deciding without asking twice.
Now, he wanted to change a few things here.
Thus, the gray-haired man ignored his boss's glare and instead smiled as he said, "He is carrying a gun."
Liu Yang narrowed his eyes. "I have no gun, you guys checked me already from top to bottom."
"But I know you have a gun in the areas where you didn't check yet." The gray-haired man chuckled as he said, "If you don't believe me, why don't we use the metal detector on him once again?"
The thief chief was angry and embarrassed at the same time. He wanted to sign this deal, but his damned subordinates just didn't understand him at all!
He took a deep breath and was about to refuse when he heard the officer saying, "It's okay. You can check me out."
In any case, Liu Yang knew he wasn't carrying a gun. Even if this were a trick, he knew he could handle a few useless fellas like this.
Thus, he was confident enough to deal with these many people all at once as he stared at the chief with a dark and intense gaze. That mere gaze made even the old man frozen as he felt a chill down his spine.
The old man was an Alpha, but even his heart felt a trace of fear bursting in his heart the moment his gaze met with the young man's. He took a deep breath and said, "Alright. Let's check you up."
The gray-haired man used an old metal detector machine, looking like some kind of remote. On the man. Suddenly, it made a red beep, indicating that there was a metal piece in the youth's body.
"Hah, people, surround him!"
