Chapter 25 - Daemon-Yeridian war

Year 5612

By the start of the year 5612, the daemons had created an army numbering in the hundreds of millions specifically to attack the new continent, which they named the Yeridian continent.

Vilran ordered many hordes of daemons to travel to the Veridian continent and open numerous teleportation gates there.

This would allow the entire daemon army to easily reach the Yeridian continent and launch their attack.

Meanwhile, on the Yeridian continent, many significant developments were unfolding.

The elves, who had discovered the daemons a year earlier, informed all the other nations about them and also presented the corpses of the vampires that had attacked them.

Even Tengis was shocked upon seeing the corpses of these vampires, as these creatures were quite bizarre, possessing tails, fangs, and even horns.

By the end of the year 5612, the hordes of daemons had started to reach Yeridian.

The nations with sea boundaries facing the direction of the daemon continent began to encounter these hordes of daemons occasionally, and they were far from pleased about it, trust me.

As a result of the daemon hordes' attack, thousands have already perished, and the daemons have seized control of the western lands of the Elven Empire, where they have begun constructing teleportation gates.

Although daemons are also an intelligent race, similar to the races on Veridian, they seem to lose their minds and sanity when they are in proximity to the races on Veridian.

Year 5613

By the start of the year 5613, the nations of Yeridian had formed an alliance to combat the daemons, as the daemons' numbers seemed to increase with every encounter.

Even the Divine Kingdom, which had remained neutral for hundreds of years, joined the alliance, naming the war against the daemons the Divine Crusades in honor of the supreme deity.

By the end of the year 5613, many teleportation gates had been built on the daemon-occupied lands of the Elven Empire, and millions of daemons began to enter Yeridian through them.

The allied nations of Yeridian soon received news of the daemon army and all began to form an army to fight against the daemons invading their continent.

By the start of the year 5614, the entire daemon army had reached the Veridian continent through the teleportation gates, with high-ranking members of many noble clans present to lead the army.

The allied nations of Veridian had formed an army numbering in the hundreds of millions, as large as the daemon army.

By the middle of the year 5614, the daemons attacked the Elven Empire, which was nearest to them. Witnessing this, the Elven Empire requested help from the alliance.

By mid-year, all the armies on the Yeridian continent had united into a single force and were already at the borders of the daemon-occupied lands.

By the end of the year, all the supreme stage beings on both the daemon and Yeridian continents had joined the two armies. However, the Veridian army had more supreme stage beings than the daemon army.

This was because, in Veridian, supreme stage beings rarely fought each other to the death, whereas on the daemon continent, such battles were frequent.

Year 5615

By the start of the year 5615, the two armies had entered an all-out war, as the land they were fighting over was completely plain, lacking any mountains or natural barriers. Thus, there was no other choice than to engage in total warfare.

First day of the war

On the first day of the battle, the dawn barely broke through the grim clouds that shrouded the vast, empty plains, setting a somber stage for the carnage that was about to unfold. The air, thick with anticipation and the metallic scent of magic, vibrated as both sides readied themselves for the confrontation.

As the two forces charged, the ground trembled under the weight of millions, a deafening roar accompanying the clash of armor and weapons.

High above, mages launched volleys of destructive spells, painting the sky with streaks of vibrant, deadly colors.

Explosions of elemental magic—fire, ice, lightning—illuminated the battlefield, briefly casting light on the horror below.

The plains, once a vast expanse of untouched grassland, quickly turned into a nightmarish scene of devastation.

The magic wielded was not only grand but grotesquely lethal.

Fire mages summoned infernos that scorched the earth and flesh alike, leaving nothing but ash in their wake. Ice conjurers froze soldiers in their tracks, their bodies shattering into a thousand pieces with a mere touch. Lightning tore through the ranks, its crackling energy exploding bodies from the inside, leaving charred, unrecognizable remains.

Aura users, warriors enhanced with supernatural strength and speed, clashed in the heart of the melee. Their combat was brutally intimate, with every strike aiming to maim or kill.

Swords cleaved through armor as if it were cloth, and the sounds of breaking bones and dying screams filled the air.

The ground became slick with blood and littered with dismembered limbs, making the terrain as treacherous as the enemy.

The brutality was not one-sided. The daemons, with their monstrous forms and savage ferocity, unleashed their own brand of horror.

They tore through ranks with fang and claw, their howls of rage and pain mingling with those of their opponents. Dark magic, twisted and corrupt, oozed from their ranks, tainting the land and poisoning the wounded.

As night fell, neither side claimed victory, and the plains, now a grotesque tapestry of death and destruction, bore witness to the sheer brutality of war. The first day had ended,

but it was only the beginning of a conflict that promised to reshape the world.
