"What business do you have with me? Don't bother talking to me."
"I just want to tell you a big secret that you don't know yet."
"Big secret? What do you mean?"
Lisa smiled like a grim reaper. Just looking at her face, I have no respect for her at all.
"Honestly, ever since I was in high school, I've liked Niko. It's just that Niko didn't look at me at all because he got married to Nadia."
"No need to be complicated, just to the point! I already know about your feelings for Niko!"
Lisa raised one eyebrow and folded her arms as she stared haughtily at Dara's face.
"You know, Nadia and Niko actually got married a year ago."
"What? Married? You're not kidding!" Dara exclaimed, not believing what she had just heard.
"I'm not kidding, Nadia and Niko's marriage is an open secret. The whole campus knows that they're married, you're the only one who doesn't know because you're Niko's girlfriend and Nadia's best friend. That's why they hid it from you. Max knows, you know," Lisa explained, making Dara still not believe what she had just heard.
"I don't believe it!" she said in disbelief.
"Whatever you want, you can prove it yourself. You just look in their bags, there must be their wedding rings that they deliberately hid," Lisa said and left. "The first plan was a success, let's see the next game."
Because she was still curious and still couldn't believe what she had just heard, Dara immediately contacted Nadia, making me so worried about Dara's current situation.
"Where are you, Nad? We need to talk now," she said nervously, biting her fingernails as she called Nadia.
Is it time for Dara to know the truth about all this? Do I have to help her?
After hanging up the phone, Dara hurried away. I followed behind her. Since they had already met Nadia, they both decided to talk in the campus park. Arriving at the park, Dara looked very nervous and confused about how to start.
Actually, it's not appropriate for me to eavesdrop on their conversation. But, I had to know what they were talking about, so that I would know what steps I should take next to help Nadia.
"What's wrong, Ra?" asked Nadia after meeting with Dara.
"I have something to ask you, Nad."
"Ask? What things?"
"About . . . ."
"Just a moment, Ra. I'll go to the restroom first, I'm really hurting. I'll leave the bag, okay?" she cut in quickly and left with a small half-run.
Dara looked so nervous as she held Nadia's bag. Because she was so curious, she ventured to open her best friend's bag and look for something in the bag.
And, it was true what Lisa said earlier, it turned out that there was indeed a ring similar to a wedding ring in the bag.
"I think I saw this ring in Niko's bag. Did they really get married? And me?"
After coming out of the bathroom, Nadia went straight to Dara who seemed to be waiting for her in the campus garden. However, when she arrived at the park, Dara's facial expression looked different from before.
"Ra, why?" Nadia asked, opening her voice.
Dara looked at Nadia's face with wide eyes. Seeing Dara looking at her like that, Nadia looked confused and didn't know what was really happening to her?
"Do I have to show up now?" I said quietly while watching the two of them.
"Ra?" she called back while holding Dara's hand.
Dara brushed Nadia's hand away roughly. Nadia seemed to be very surprised by her best friend's rude behavior. The expressions on both of their faces looked tense, panicked and even frightened.
I could understand their current situation. One lie will bring disaster to their next lie. And, the lie itself would get them all into an unpleasant situation.
"Do you still like Niko, Nad?" asked Dara suddenly as she stared at Nadia's face and exchanged sharp glances.
"What do you mean, Ra? I don't understand."
Dara's tears began to fall. It made Nadia seem confused by her best friend's attitude.
"Are you married to Niko?" she asked suddenly, making Nadia startled.
"Married?" Nadia repeated with an expression on her face that looked both nervous and shocked.
"This is your wedding ring to Niko, right, Nad?" Dara asked again as she showed Nadia the wedding ring she had just found in her bag.
Nadia lowered her head and didn't dare look at her best friend's face. The big secret she had been hiding with Niko from Dara was finally revealed.
"Answer my question, Nad!" Dara shouted with teary eyes.
I could clearly see Dara's emotional expression and Nadia's guilty expression. I felt like running to Nadia and helping her who was in a bad situation.
However, I decided against it because I saw Lisa smiling with satisfaction at the scene of two friends in a tense situation.
"Here comes the destroyer of other people's relationships! I'm going to ruin your life, Lisa!"
I immediately approached Lisa with emotion and immediately pulled her hand very roughly.
"What the hell are you doing?" she shouted.
"What the hell are you? Why are you interfering with their relationship? What exactly do you want?"
Lisa shook her long hair and folded her hands with a cynical smile. The expression on her face was really asking for a beating.
"All I want is to see them all destroyed!" she said with a sharp look in her eyes.
"Before you ruin their lives, I'll ruin yours first!" After finishing the last sentence, I left.
"Why, Max? Do you love that unholy girl?" Lisa shouted, stopping me in my tracks.
"If necessary, we can work together to separate Nadia and Niko. How about you agree to my suggestion and work with me?" she said again.
I turned around and smiled sarcastically at Lisa. I stared at her with piercing eyes as if I wanted to swallow her alive. I felt like burying her alive.
It really made my hands itch. I want to beat her up right now, but unfortunately she's a girl. And, how could I beat up this demoness here, what would people say?
"I'm not that cruel, I won't let you separate the two of them, let alone let you hurt Nadia. If you touch Nadia in the slightest, you'll be finished in my hands!"
"Are you threatening me? Don't you love that unholy girl?"
That venomous girl's mouth really couldn't be guarded. Her cynical, cruel and thoughtless words had made me furious. I should have destroyed that kind of woman a long time ago.
"You have an unholy mouth, because you've insulted others while talking about yourself. Just so you know, if I ever see you touch a strand of Nadia's hair, I'll make your life a living hell!"
Without much ado, I stormed off and left Lisa looking very upset and emotional.
"I'll take care of you, Nad. No matter what happens, I'll make you happy even if my own happiness is at stake."
