As my consciousness fade I can feel my soul leaving my body and for the first time I feel welcomed and the knowledge of everything is flowing in as I meet the divine being. I remember that I was in a bad car accident with my mom. The closer I get the more I feel a sense of familiar unity as I become one with the divine. The Divine looks at my life and reviews it with much joy and delight as I remember my purpose in existence is to experience all of creation and bring it back to the divine. The divine seen the experiences in my life and was very happy but I could feel something other then happiness from the divine for the first time in my existence. The divine Looks at me and says in a pleasent voice filled with light "Shogi can you investigate some matters for me as I have lost connection to pieces of my light. I will arm you with an ability to investigate this matter". Shogi leans forward in a kneeling posture and says " I will do what must be done in honor of you the divine but I have also noticed changes to my previous plain of existence as it is experiencing changes consistent with the merger of plains. The Laws of Earth are changing causing abnormalities." 

The divine fills Shogi with an energy changing his soul to have a brighter glow. The divine speaks to Shogi and says " This is an abnormality in deed but an experience should be lived through at the end I will give a command to have my elites fix this". The divine peers into Shogi's soul and says "you will return to the Earth, you have not died and will not remember too much of this conversation but the system have task put in place to guide your soul on a path that will allow the investigation". Shogi looks at the divine and says " As you will". The divine smiles upon Shogi and gives him a push and he wakes up in a hospital bed and jumps up scaring his nurse. "EEP" yells out his nurse shocked upon seeing him up. She hits a button saying "Get the doctor in here patient in room 72 is alive". Shogi just sat up and looked around as he could feel his consciousness slipping again as memories flood his brain of the car accident . When everything was going black he could hear a noise "ping" "system is analyzing the host body rendering the host unconscious for this process". "Ping"analysis complete all of the host stats are as followed. 5 strength 5 stamina 5 agility 5 vitality 5 dexterity 20 spirit . Skills System Lvl 1. 

When all these messages popped up the last thing that popped up was "Welcome Host" across his vision like a VR video game. Shogi slowly rose back up to see papers next to him and when he looked around the room he saw a figure in all black with a high and tight hair cut. Shogi whispers in a weak voice " Uncle Rome" . Shogi could tell his uncle had been crying and this was the first time he had ever seen any trace of his uncle having emotion. Rome looks up at Shogi without any trace of emotion, the only hint that he was sad at all was the tears that struggled to come out of his eyes as they slipped off his face. Romes first words were as intense as his demeanor as he struggled to speak all he could manage was a raspy fumble of words " Kid ya mom ain't make it ". 

Shogi's hands started trembling as memories raced through his mind of his mother. All the years they had spent together invaded his brain as he remembered all the care and loves she would provide to him. She cared for him and shared his pain even when things got hard and would listen to the words that seldom slipped past Shogi's lips and would often advise him to be the best version of himself. A memory of his mom kicking out an ex for talking down on Shogi appeared and then memories zipped by as he recalled only ever spending the holidays with his uncle Rome and mother. The last memory that had popped up was of his mother saying "If anything ever happens to me I will only trust your uncle Rome to watch over you because you are the most precious gift that god has ever given me". Shogi made a barfing sound and said " Uncle Rome looks evil and has the legendary 1000 yard stare" Shogi's mom shook her head and said " Yes that is a trade mark of his but he is family and loves you, he just does'nt manage his emotions very well".Right as the last memory left his brain he snapped back to reality as a nurse is continually nudging his sholder saying "Sugar.. hello Sugar we need to get your vitals" a steady stream of tears rushed down Shogi's face as he looked himself over and realized all the bruises and scars covering his body like tattoos. He cried uncontrollably and then he finally decided the tears would never bring his mom back but they wouldn't stop rolling down as much as he wanted to stop he was experiencing a severe pain. 

A couple of days go by and Shogi is recovering quickly The nurse stops in and Shogi just keeps staring out the window as if there was something there only he could see. The nurse clears her throat and then says " The doctor recommended some excercise do you mind walking around the hospital for us today". Shogi ignores the nurse and keeps staring out the window and all he could think was about how much he hated everything and how he wanted nothing to do with a life without his mother. Subtly he could hear the woman speaking to someone about the importance of Shogi walking. Rome walks in the room and stares directly into Shogi's eye and say's " Kid put your clothes on we are going for a walk" Shogi felt as if though he was compelled to do what he said or else he would die but parts of him wanted to stay in bed and just sleep until the pain was gone. Shogi could't manage words and just slowly put on scraps of clothing gritting his teeth he didn't want to talk about anything he just wish he could piss off. 

Rome and Shogi exit the hospital as they go on walk around the facility when Rome clears his throat looking straight ahead and says " Kid im glad your safe… Your mom… My sister was the only family I knew. Your going to be living with me effective immediatly after your discharge from the hospital." Shogi looks at his uncle's face trying to read anything from his expression but gained nothing but his uncle just continued to stare straight ahead. Rome spoke again " Your beginning highschool so I expect you to stay out of trouble and try not to be a dirty fuck. I don't care when or how long you hang out but always lock the door when your home and when you come home. Understood" Shogi nodded his head and Rome looked over at Shogi and said "Imma give you a pass, consider this your grace period, but you, will, address me, as sir, understood." Shogi's voice horse from not talking in so long managed a weak " Yes sir". Rome looked up at the mountains as he lit his cigarette and spoke " I've always been a Sir since I finished my officer candidate school, soldiers, clerks at stores, everyone calls me sir… " Rome looked at the freshly lit cigarette and took one puff and just as quick as he lit it he snuffed it out smoldering the cigarette in the dirt. Rome looked back at the hospital and weakly said " Lets go see if the discharge papers are ready".
