Leo closed his eyes as the events of the last few minutes replayed in his head.
"It seems my body is not yet strong enough for me to face a yellow-core mage. If only my body were a little bit stronger or I had formed my own core, I'd have used mana to reinforce my body, and I would be stronger and faster to dodge his ice bullets. My defenses would also be further increased so that I would be able to tolerate a few more direct attacks that landed on me." Thought Leo as he took a deep breath as these ideas flowed in.
BOOM!
Burton suddenly released another ice magic, "Ice Bomb," which struck and exploded on Leo's legs, mutilating them. Leo grunted as he stumbled and fell on his back toward the ground.
As he saw the defenseless Leo lying on the ground. The exhausted Burton breathed out in relief. He got closer to him and let his guard down.
"I really never expected you to have this much ability, young Master Leo." Burton wiped some bloodstains from his mouth as a consequence of overstraining his mana core.
Leo suddenly sprung up and "bang," and Burton was caught off-guard. He was smacked hard on the face and sent flying in a graceful arc through the air with five teeth scattered from his mouth.
"I finally managed to land a blow," said the exhausted Leo before falling back on the ground and completely losing consciousness.
Burton's eyes were wide open in shock. He was not expecting Leo to suddenly attack him.
He opened his mouth to shout at Leo, "I will kill you!" while trying to release another ice bullet towards his unconscious body.
Before Burton could fully cast the spell, he noticed the surrounding temperature increasing. Upon turning his face back to see what was causing the rise in temperature, he saw Rose staring at him angrily. He looked around and saw the two other youths that attacked her, incapacitated, on the ground while crying out in pain.
Rose ignored him and quickly went to inspect Leo's body. Seeing that he had just lost consciousness, she felt a little relieved, but her arms were still shaking in anger as she saw the wounds covering Leo's body. She gently placed Leo back on the ground and angrily faced Burton while fully unleashing her aura at the bright yellow core stage.
"How dare you hurt my little brother?" Rose's aura suddenly exploded out as killing intent lingered around her body.
"What?" Burton was shocked as Rose's aura was released on him.
Even some of the spectators weren't able to stand against the pressure being released from Rose's body.
"She's actually at the Bright Yellow Core stage?"
"But why is her aura so powerful?"
"Her aura can clearly rival the one of an average Dim Green Core stage."
"Her affinity is at least at Rank 5." Exclaimed the spectating people.
Throughout, Rose fought with the two other youths. Many people had speculated that her mana core stage was at the light yellow core, but no one believed she was at the bright core stage.
Rose created a fireball the size of a football and cast it toward Burton's direction.
On seeing the incoming attack, Burton quickly cast an "ice shield" to block the spell.
Crunch! The ice shield melted before the fireball got to it. The fireball continued to hurl towards Burton.
An earthshaking explosion rang out when the attack hit Burton. Fire waves surged out, engulfing his whole body.
"Ahhh!"
"Help! Please! Stop! I'm sorry!" Shouted Burton as he was being burned alive by the fireball.
A few minutes later, Burton was burned to death.
On the other side, Adamson was already dumbfounded as he watched the scene unfold in front of him with his mouth agape.
"Was this the same Rose I knew at the academy? I thought she was at the dim yellow core stage."
"Was there such a power in this world?"
"Was this the power of a member of the Crimson family?"
Upon seeing Burton's being burned to death, fear instantly enveloped Adamson's body, and he collapsed on the ground. He quickly begged on his knees while trembling.
"spare me!"
"You asked them to capture me; now I am here, standing before you. Why don't you show me what you've planned for me before?"
"Please forgive me!" Begged Adamson on his knees.
However, it seemed like Rose didn't intend to forgive him.
"I've given you a chance, and there's only one chance," said Rose as she hurled another fireball towards him.
Adamson tried to use several water spells to quench the fire hurling towards him, but he was unsuccessful as his magic was weaker than Rose's.
"Boom!"
"Nooooo! I am the young master of the Frost family; you can't do this to me; my father will avenge me," shouted Adamson as he was being burned alive by the fire.
"You won't live to see that." Leo replied while moving away from him.
Rose moved towards the unconscious Leo and carried him in her arms, forgetting the bags containing the accessories she bought in the market.
"Ms. Rose, you forgot your bags," shouted one of the people that spectated the fights while carrying the bags along with him as he followed behind her, seeing as she didn't answer him.
On getting to the carriage, the coachman's eyes were wide open. "Who did this to young master Leo?" He asked while fully unleashing his aura at the green core stage.
"Don't worry about that; I've dealt with the person," replied Rose as she gently placed Leo inside the carriage.
"Here are your bags, Miss Rose," presented the man that followed her.
"Thank you!" Rose said it with a gentle smile on her face.
"I'm glad I could be of help," replied the man as he smiled broadly upon hearing Rose's voice.
"Woah, what a lucky man! Ms. Rose talked to him!"
"How I wish I was the one she talked to." Exclaimed the surrounding people.
After Rose entered the carriage with the bags in her hands, the coachman controlled the Fiery Lions, and the carriage began to move in the direction of the Crimson's family estate.
