After some lapse of time, Leo finally regained consciousness. He could feel that he was lying on a soft and fluffy bed. As soon as he checked around, he noticed the room he was in had 2 bookshelves inside it, both of them were filled with all kind of books his mother and grandfather had gifted him when he was a child after they discovered his thirst for knowledge. He he finished looking around, he confirmed he was indeed in his room.
He began checking himself for injuries. There was no evident sign of injury on his body.
"It's seems mother healed me after I was brought home yesterday," he thought, not being aware that it was his body that healed on it own.
Since he was young, Leo already knew he had a fast healing factor above an average Red Core light mage but he didn't know the full extent of this ability.
He continued inspecting his body, he can feel he had gotten a little bit stronger than the him of yesterday that fought against Burton. As he felt the increased in his strength, he believed the present him can break down Burton's ice shield with two punches.
"How I wish I could have a rematch with him," he whispered to himself not knowing Burton had already met his end at Rose hand.
Boom! Boom!
Suddenly, Leo narrowed his eyes and placed a hand over his heart. He can hear his heart beat loudly like the sound of a beating drum for a few minutes after he regained consciousness before returning back to it normal beating rate. He felt his heartbeat had became a little stronger but after he inspected his whole body, he couldn't find anything wrong with it.
Unbeknownst to him, a swirl made up of unknown energy that greatly differs from mana was present in his heart. It was formed after he lost consciousness after the previous day fight.
A few minutes later, Leo had finally finished checking his current condition.
As he got off from his bed, he noticed he was wearing a black shirt with white buttons paired and a plain black jogger. He was surprised as this wasn't what he wore yesterday.
"Who changed my clothes?"
Just as Leo was thinking about who changed his clothes, the sound of the door opening reached his ears.
"The door creaked open."
As the door was opened, the sound of two ladies footsteps accompanied it.
On seeing Clara and Rose entering his room, Leo shuddered involuntarily after glancing at Clara who immediately sat down in the room's center after entering. He quickly got on his knees.
"My apologies mom. I overestimated my strength and made you worry." Leo apologized without giving Clara any chance to rebuke him.
Rose bursted into laughter on seeing Leo's apologetic face.
On hearing her laughter, Leo shot her a stern look before focusing back on his mother.
"You can stand up, but don't make your mother worry over you again."
"Yes mom," answered Leo as he got up from his kneeling position.
"Mom, I want to ask you a question."
"Am all hears."
"Who changed my clothes yesterday," he whispered.
Clara looked at him with a deadpan expression on her face before sighing.
"Since when do you concerned yourself about such matters?" retorted Clara.
"Can't I help my son to change his clothes? Or who do you think took care of you when you were a baby? Clara pinched Leo's cheek as she admonished him.
"But mo..."
Without waiting for him to complete his word, no matter what your age is, now or in the future, you will never be too old for me to take care of you. You will always be my sweet baby boy," said Clara in an affectionate voice as she went to embrace him.
In response, Leo embraced her back as he no longer felt embarrassed about the situation after hearing the affection in his mother voice.
Seeing them embracing each other, Rose also went to join them, and she said to Leo, "you will always be my cute little brother.
"What about Rian?" Retorted Leo.
"Well.... unlike you, he is no fun to be with. All he is interested in is training both day and night."
I'll leave you two to it then," said Clara after confirming Leo was awake.
She left the room.
'So hungry,' Leo uttered as he has not had any other food since yesterday's lunch.
"Have you eaten or will you join me in the dining hall for breakfast?"
"Yes, I've eaten before coming here," replied Rose.
I will be back then, let me quickly go and fill my stomach, said Leo as he rushed toward the dining area. He decided to fill his stomach in the dining hall before going out with Rose.
Seeing Leo had rushed out to eat, Rose decided to spend her time by going out and joining Clara and Anise, who were chatting over a cup of tea.
Two hours later, Leo, who had changed his clothes into a black robe, walked out of the mansion with Rose.
Once Leo and Rose left the mansion, they wandered around the estate aimlessly. As they were strolling throughout the estate, they felt different gazes staring so intently at them.
Some of the gazes held jealousy towards Rose, as she had achieved so much at her age. She was already a bright Yellow Core, which was rare among the young members of the family below the age of eighteen. And there was Leo, the trash of the family, who was brought unconscious into the estate yesterday.
Seeing that Leo was safe and sound, unlike the rumor being circulated, hints of coldness flashes past countless people's eyes. Some of them were even thinking how is this trash not dead yet? But under the might of Rose, who was notorious for beating anyone she caught abusing Leo as trash, the majority of them did not dare to speak their minds, but some people never still learn.
As Leo and Rose continued making their way around the estate, many family members were whispering non-stop.
"Did you know what happened at the Frost family estate yesterday?"
"I heard they were attacked."
"Who has the audacity to attack one of the four great powers in the sanctuary," inquired one of the youth discussing.
"I heard it was our Great Elder Skyfire that attacked them."
"Why?"
Don't you hear what happened to our trashy young master yesterday?
"You meant Leo the trash?"
If I were Leo, I would have killed myself upon not yet forming my mana core at the age of thirteen rather than living as trash.
Rose was about to act upon hearing the two boys calling Leo trash.
Bang!
One of the youths was punched in the stomach. He smashed against the nearest wall and coughed up a large mouthful of blood before losing consciousness.
"Did these bastards just call him trash? He that was meant to lead or destroy all lives as he sees fit" Rage boiled up deep within Leo's chest as a voice resounded in his mind, "kill them! Kill them! Kill them!"
The other youth was grabbed and raised by his neck. "Say that again." A cold glint flashed past Leo's eyes while he stared at him. This caused a flash of fear to flutter across the youth's face, and he dared not look at Leo's face directly.
"Who are you calling a trashy young master? How dare an outer member of the family badmouth the young master of the family?
"No, I…" The short-haired youth was frightened. He had tried to release himself from Leo's grip by utilizing his strength at the Red Core stage, but Leo's hand didn't bulge at all.
"Leo tightened his grip around the youth neck."
"Am so r ry," the youth tried to voice out as he was being choked by Leo.
Stop it Leo! You are choking him. You're not allowed to fight a member of the family without applying for a duel or else you will be punished."
On hearing Rose's voice, Leo came back to his senses. He took deep breaths, trying to calm himself.
Bang! Leo threw him down to the ground as he didn't know caused his emotional instability.
"What happened to you, Leo? I thought you didn't care about what others said you?"
I don't know; it seems I am probably on edge because of yesterday's incident.
So that's the case," Rose nodded, accepting the excuse without any doubts.
What is happening to me? Or is it because of the increase in my heart rate? Thought Leo. He felt as if he possessed another personality that had just awakened after he regained consciousness, as he could still hear the voice whispering in his head to bring everyone to their knees.
As Leo heard heard the youth calling him trash, his consciousness suddenly became clouded and his body moved on his own. If it wasn't for Rose that called him, he would have choked the boy to death.
'I can't be completely sure,' Leo kept mulling over the problem.
Leo! Leo! Leo! What's is wrong with you today or are you traumatized about yesterday's incident? Rose inquired, on seeing the absent look on his face.
No, no, am just thinking about something else.
Did you know what they were discussing ?" Asked Leo, trying to change the topic.
'Yes, it was about what happened yesterday after I brought you back to the estate.'
As Rose was about to continue her story, a voice called out to Leo.
