She took a look at the address that was written on the wall to make sure that she was in the right place.
"Oh my God! It's the right place. Oden is stinking rich" Linda blurted out of excitement.
She pressed the button there and her fingerprints were immediately encrypted and the gate unlocked.
"Wow, That is so cool. Did you see that? We don't have that in Florida". Linda said as she entered the truck and they drove in.
So she helped the old man bring down the boxes and bags so he could hurriedly leave as it was approaching midnight.
In a few minutes they were done so Linda picked up little Klaus who was still sleeping soundly. "Newborns love sleeping a lot right Doc"? Linda asked to keep the old man from suspecting anything on his way back.
"Yea that's right" he replied with a smirk.
"Thank you for the ride sir, I already transferred the money to you. I hope to see you next time". Linda said in a nice tone even though there won't be a next time.
"Nice to meet you, young lady". the old man replied and proceeded to enter his truck to leave.
Still keeping her smiling face she waved at the old man as he left through the automatic gate.
Now sure that the old man had gone and that she was now alone in the villa. She scans the whole place with her eyes.
"This place is so beautiful," she said with a smile while heading to the door. Immediately she reached the door and it opened automatically. Surprised as she was, she was more fascinated with the soundproof system.
Looking at the time to see that midnight was fast approaching she hurriedly drops the baby on the sofa and starts bringing in all the luggage inside the house.
When she was done she rushed into the bathroom to take a shower to regain some of her strength for the long night ahead.
Even though she was a wolf she had learned a lot of human behaviors from her human friend Eve, who is now dead. And most of these activities have turned into habit making her undetectable most times by her fellow wolves.
She even learned how to use the hair dryer and vacuum cleaners, she also learned how to make a lot more delicious human food than the humans themselves. This made her association with humans a lot easier.
She fixed her food and immediately she was done eating it at midnight. Klaus' ordeal began and she hurried to where he was lying as he was struggling almost to fall off the sofa.
"So sorry little one. Everything will be alright" she said as she started rocking the baby.
He stopped crying for a few minutes and Linda dropped him to go back and clear the dining table. Klaus starts crying in a louder tone this time.
Linda immediately ran back to the sofa to catch him before he fell as he was being more violent now.
Before Linda could take three more steps Klaus was already on the floor screaming even harder.
"Sorry little one," Linda said as she picked him up off the floor and started singing for him as she walked to her luggage to bring out the crib which she bought earlier in the day.
"Hang on baby I will fix your crib for you since you keep falling off the sofa". Linda says as she climbs the stairs holding the box in one hand and carrying Klaus in the other hand.
Opening one of the bedrooms which turned out to be the master's bedroom she was surprised to see a big beautiful crib already standing by the side of the queen-sized bed.
"Oh great so I just wasted my money," Linda said as she slowly walked in scanning every single place in the room.
"Judging by the looks of things and how neat and arranged this room looks I think Oden wanted to raise little Klaus in this house together with Eve". Linda was lost in her thoughts.
Brought back to reality by the stinging cries of Klaus she hurriedly places him in the crib and starts rocking him. Hoping to quiet him down and soothe his pain a little bit.
"I don't think this is going to work," she said as she stood still over the crib watching the little boy cry out in pain.
"All alone in the dark woods, where is Mama, where is Papa? Nobody to help. I sat on the forest floor in fear as the insects and birds turned into my friends. Each took turns singing me to sleep. Slowly I drift into sleep only to wake up and see myself in their arms. Linda's voice came echoing in the room as she sang the song hoping it worked a little bit.
After a relentless number of times, the baby seemed to quiet down a bit. Happiness washed over Linda's face as her determination started to pay off.
"Good thing I learned this song from the little girl".Linda happily said to herself as she continued singing.
Whenever Linda's voice quiets down a bit Klaus starts crying more and more.
Linda tried singing for three more hours while standing, sitting, bending, walking, and even running around the room to stay awake.
She was doing all this in human form which was quite impossible as she kept on drifting into sleep.
After trying for more time, she gave up and went to sit on the bed. While she was sitting on the bed she started thinking about Eve's death and Oden's curse.
She could remember the two love birds when they first came to the hospital for an ultrasound. Eve was indeed a very beautiful human, no wonder Oden couldn't resist her.
"My lord she is human and I don't know if you know this but the possibility of a human giving birth to our kind is very low". Linda cornered Oden by the side to advise him.
You know bringing our young ones into this world takes our life force and the humans are weak. Eve may not survive it"! she added.
"I know and I am making plans she will make it". Oden replied Linda calmly hiding his worried expression and made to walk back to the Ultrasound room.
Linda, seeing that he was not taking it seriously, ran toward him to make him see the danger ahead, missed her step, ran into Oden, and crashed into him.
They both fell on the floor at the entrance with Linda falling on top of Oden creating an unexplainable situation for Oden as his wife watched the two lying in an unsuitable position.
What's the meaning of that? Eve asked in rage as she kept on watching the two glued to themselves.
Oden immediately came back to reality when the voice of Eve came echoing in his ears. He immediately pushed Linda away and warned her to stay away from him.
Rushing over to his wife he immediately apologized. "Darling it was truly unintentional. I think she missed her steps and bumped into me".
"Hey Eve, I am sorry for bumping into your husband right now but I think you need to know this"! Linda said without fearing for her life.
