"What do I need to know?" Eve asked Linda, waving off what happened earlier.
They have been best friends since the first time Oden introduced her to the pack. She helped her fit in and gain her grounds as the mate of the south side leader so she trusted her with her life that she wouldn't betray her.
Linda hesitated because of Oden's warning gaze. But she can't afford to lose her friend so she picked up the courage and blurted out " You can't bear that child Eve!"
Eve immediately cut in with a sad smile. "I know it's going to be tough but I will try"
"Oh my God, you know? How? When did you know girl"? Linda was surprised that she knew already.
"I knew the moment I saw the ultrasound. The baby is growing fast and he keeps transforming into wolf form in my womb. And I see with every successful transformation he injures me with his long sharp claws and causes me to bleed internally.
I saw and understood everything my dear". Eve added in a sad tone.
Oden immediately broke down the moment he heard his wife say those words. "I don't want to lose you my love and I didn't want you to become worried that's why I didn't want to tell you".
"It's fine my love. You won't lose me and it's not a bad thing that I want to have this baby regardless".Eve replied to her husband in an assuring tone.
"Ok, girlfriend I will try my best to keep you alive. We got this"! Linda said with a chuckle and hugged Eve while she was sitting on the bed.
After the two were done with all the necessary things they needed to do at the hospital they left for their home.
"Poor human! She doesn't know what's ahead of her. This is why I warned Oden against it but he wouldn't listen". Linda muttered to herself while watching the two drive off.
"Oh my God! What's the time? I don't think I will make it till dawn". Nurse Linda said as she scanned the room for a wall clock to know the time when she came back to reality from Klaus's shrieking cries.
Seeing that it would still take three hours for dawn to come Linda was a little bit disappointed so she started singing the song she had sung earlier hoping to quiet him down a bit.
This time around it was like the song made him more angry as he began transforming inside the crib.
With every minute of the clock ticking Klaus kept on transforming unsteadily into a wolf and back to a human and every time he successfully turned into a wolf Linda would see a little silver sword stuck at his spine causing him discomfort.
Linda watched the little thing struggle and cry out in pain. "I might be a nurse but I don't know how to take care of this kind of infant case". Linda sleepily said and fell flat on the bed as her eyes gave up.
"That monster finally killed you," Oden said as he sat down beside the grave with a picture of Eve in his hand as he wept.
"I should have killed him earlier when I had the chance, my love I am sorry"! Oden kept on lamenting as more tears poured out from his eyes.
He wept throughout the night and would occasionally transform into a wolf in anger and howl into the night. He continued till he tired out and fell asleep beside Eve's grave.
Meanwhile, the news has spread out in the land that Oden's human wife died while giving birth and that Oden caused and banished his son.
All the werewolves that warned Oden about the human earlier now took turns laughing at Oden's predicament.
"I brought Cecilia for my brother and he rejected and fought me because of that mere pathetic human". Damian said, sitting in his mansion, legs crossed.
"Now she is dead from giving birth to the hybrid son. Poor boy! killed his mama from birth but it wasn't his fault". Damian added, looking at the files that were brought to him.
"I will find that boy and make him my greatest ally so that he won't turn against me tomorrow if my brother Oden decides to declare war as we are no longer on good terms". Damian mutters to himself after a long thought.
"Agent Collins, get ready, I have a job for you". Damian says on the phone with a devilish grin.
"Your wish is my command my lord what do I find this time?". Agent Collins replied
"He is a hybrid. I heard they just arrived in New York and there is a nurse taking care of him. But I don't know where and how they look. I am trusting you will bring me good news". Damian explains to the best of his knowledge.
"Copied! Except the boy in one week". The agent replied.
"Good! Bring him alive. Kill the nurse if she gets in your way! Damian said finally before cutting the call.
"I can't wait to have Oden at my command with the help of his pathetic son". He said as he walked to his bedroom laughing loudly that the whole mansion started shaking.
Grrrrrrr! Grrrrr! Grrrr! Linda's phone rang in her ears waking her up. She raised her head from the pillow to put it off then remembered she dropped it at the sitting room.
"Oh, that's right"! She drops down on the bed to sleep again then remembers that Klaus was with her.
She jumped out of the bed to dash out of the room then looked at the crib by the side to see Klaus sleeping soundly.
"When did you sleep little one"? She asked as she tiptoed to the crib not wanting to wake him up with the slighted noise.
Seeing that he was sound asleep she made her way to the door and left the room to get her phone and arrange the stuff that she brought when they moved.
"I slept in. I must be very tired. I think years of me living with humans is keeping me out". She mutters to herself as she climbs down the stairs to the sitting room.
"It's 10 am? and my alarm has been going off since? Why didn't I hear it? I think my sense of hearing is becoming weak too". Linda said wide-eyed looking at her phone.
She hurried and brushed her teeth and started tidying up the house. She was hoping to get things done and even get her food ready before Klaus woke up but it didn't work.
"So this is what mothers pass through"! She screamed in frustration as she heard Klaus screaming from the bedroom. She drops the pasta she was about to put in the pot and puts off the fire.
She hurried to the bedroom to feed him because she knew he must be hungry by now.
"Hold on! I am here, little one. Good thing I already prepared your meal but I was about to make mine before you woke up"! Linda said in a low frustrated tone as she picked Klaus from the crib and started feeding him.
"You are a big eater," Linda said as she watched him devour three bottles of the formula.
