"I have to go to the hall! I have to help them!" Ava declares and whooshes past me like there's no tomorrow.
"No! Wait!" I grab on to her wrist in an attempt to stop her but I find myself yanked out my standing position, and dragged along behind her like a rag doll.
I keep forgetting that size doesn't matter in their world… Wait, that… came out wrong.
"Why? I have no time to waste! My mother and father are there! And Nathanael too! They're in danger! Don't you get it?" she shakes my hand off her wrist and starts walking away without another glance behind her.
"Your mother sent me!" I lie, but it does the trick. She stops in her tracks and turns to look at me, perplexed, "She's with your father and Adeline as well. She knows you, she knows you'd try to join them which is why she sent me to find you," I spew many words out. Words I, myself, don't believe in.
