Chapter 52 - Poetic

Nathanael's POV:

I repeatedly push my weight up in order to dart from rooftop to rooftop using the strength of my legs. The air grazing my skin barely causes any chills on my body. As matter of fact, I feel warm, fuzzy and everything within that lexicon. A tad too fervent, I am willing to admit. 

It won't be long before that sweet scent of almonds tickles my senses. I ought to get a grip over my feelings before that occurs. I am heading there to solve a problem, not create a new one. 

Rosemary is out of sight and yet… Her visage is the only picture my mind can paint. I know this to be natural for my kind, but I still can't indulge it. My urges were never my fault but they are and always will be my responsibility. 

I relax my pace when, still from afar, my eyes finally land on the familiar building I know she dwells.
