Rosemary's POV:
A tingling sensation still lingers on my skin as I descend back towards the apartment. My heart rate finally slowed back down to its normal pace, but my thoughts are still all over the place.
I am having trouble fully grasping the bonding concept that Nathanael has referred to. I've only ever shown obsessive behavior towards my schoolwork back when I was still in school and then work… Back when I was still working as a biologist.
The only thing I can remotely relate to what he explained would be the imprinting of a newly hatched duck on their mother or caregiver.
I make a stop at Izzy's room to check if she's still sleeping since earlier. I find she's completely wrapped her blanket around herself like a cocoon, barely leaving an opening for her nose in order to breathe.
