Chereads / Love You Mr. Arrogant / Chapter 18 - Chapter 18

Chapter 18 - Chapter 18

Aryan emerged from Disha's house and approached his car. Taking the keys from the driver, he instructed him to return to the mansion. With a determined expression, Aryan took control of the wheel and began driving towards his office.

Upon entering his office, Aryan instructed his PA not to disturb him for the next few hours, with that he made his way towards his cabin.

Once Aryan entered the cabin, he locked it from inside and he settled into his chair, frustration evident as he ran his fingers through his hair.

In a moment of reflection, Aryan found himself vividly recalling the intimate encounter with Disha. The memory lingered—him gently kissing her neck, a sensation that stirred unfamiliar desires within him. However, abruptly, he halted the tender gesture, sensing an overwhelming surge of desire that threatened to surpass his control. This unprecedented experience left Aryan perplexed; his desires had never before exerted such dominance over his self-discipline.

Despite his history of intimacy with numerous women, Aryan found himself in uncharted territory. The encounter with Disha stirred emotions and desires in him like never before, prompting a realization that he needed to halt his escalating desires. This internal struggle marked a departure from his usual self-control, signaling a profound impact that Disha had on him.

With a resolute mindset, Aryan delved deep into his work, seeking refuge in the demanding tasks that required his attention. Every keystroke and decision became a distraction from the lingering thoughts of Disha. The ambiance of his office, usually echoing with the hum of productivity, now served as a shield against the emotional tumult that threatened to resurface. Aryan's focus sharpened as he channeled his energy into the professional realm, attempting to drown out any echoes of vulnerability that the encounter with Disha had stirred within him. The controlled chaos of the workplace provided solace, offering a temporary reprieve from the uncharted territory of emotions that he was determined to navigate.

Disha found herself lying on the bed, her thoughts swirling in a chaotic dance. Staring at the ceiling fan above, she grappled with the aftermath of Aryans' unexpected actions. Her body's response to his touch left her bewildered, emotions she couldn't comprehend coursing through her. The perplexing mix of sensations and the unfamiliar territory of desire left Disha in a state of confusion, questioning the uncharted depths of emotions that Aryans' presence had unraveled within her. It was a perplexing experience, one she had never encountered before, and she lay there contemplating the enigma that had suddenly become her reality.

Unbeknownst to Disha, she harbored a silent expectation that Aryan might reach out to her. However, as days slipped away, his silence spoke louder than any words could. The fleeting emotions she thought she felt for him began to dissipate, replaced once again by disdain and the familiar sting of hatred. During this time, Nita visited Disha and her parents multiple times, a comforting presence amidst the emotional turmoil.

Kunal attempted to contact Disha, but she maintained a deliberate distance, convinced it was for his own good. Kajal joined Disha's household, preparing for the upcoming wedding festivities. Time hurriedly marched on, nearly two weeks passing in a blur. Today marked Disha's haldi ceremony, a significant milestone in the whirlwind of emotions and events.

Disha's friends, including Vishal, Aditi, Vikram, and surprisingly, Kunal, arrived at the celebration. Kajal, who was already informed by Disha about Kunal's confession, was aware of the underlying tension between them. The air carried a mix of joy and unspoken dynamics as the friends gathered for the festivities.

"Disha, sit here. The haldi has arrived from Aryan's house," announced Dishas's mom as she carried the bowl of haldi, setting the stage for the ceremonial celebration.

The ceremonial haldi application began with Disha taking her designated seat. Her mother initiated the process, followed by her father and other relatives, marking the joyous occasion with traditional rituals.

After the elders had applied haldi to Disha, her friends stepped forward and completely covered her in haldi, filling the entire house with the sounds of laughter and joy.

Lastly, Kunal came in front of Disha and slightly bowed down so that he could apply haldi to her. He applied haldi on her cheeks, then on her hands, and finally on her feet. While doing all this, Kunal's eyes welled up, and a single tear drop fell on Disha's feet, making her quite emotional. Seeing this, even Disha's eyes filled with tears. Before leaving, Kunal looked at Disha with love and care, extending his congratulations for the upcoming wedding.

Kajal noticed this and observed that Disha's mood had become quite somber. So, she joined her other friends and performed an energetic dance, involving everyone and lifting Disha's spirits. After that, they all started dancing, and Disha, too, forgot everything and joined in. Later, they captured numerous photos, making Disha's haldi ceremony truly enjoyable and memorable.

Abhi and Ishaan in Singhania mansion were looking at the uploaded photos of Disha's haldi ceremony. They started pouting and complaining.

Abhi, showing the phone to Nita, said, "Mom, look at how much fun they had celebrating haldi at Bhabhi's house, and here, bhai didn't even let us apply haldi properly."

Nita took the phone from Abhi's hand, and as she looked at the photos, a smile formed on her face, witnessing Disha's happiness. She showed those photos to Aryan, who was seated on the sofa beside her.

Nita said, "Aryan, look at how beautiful Disha looks and how happy she seems. You should smile too. There is no tax on it."

Aryan glanced at the phone, unable to look away from Disha's smile. Somewhat reluctantly, he mumbled, "Hmm," and redirected his attention to Grandpa's discussions, trying to shake off the impact of the enchanting image.

Nita then began discussing the upcoming sangeet and mehndi ceremonies scheduled for tomorrow, set to take place at the Singhania mansion. After a while, everyone bid good night and retired to their respective rooms.

The soft glow of dawn illuminated the room, casting a warm hue on Aryan's features as he stirred awake. Engaging in his customary morning routine, he dedicated time to a set of exercises that reflected his commitment to a healthy lifestyle. After the refreshing shower, he chose comfortable attire, embracing the informality of the moment. As he stepped into the living room, the day's possibilities stretched ahead, and Aryan carried himself with a sense of purpose and readiness for whatever lay ahead.

The living room was already occupied with the presence of Vidyut, Sameer, and other family members. Aryan felt a surge of anger upon seeing Vidyut, but choosing to ignore him, he made his way to sit beside Sameer.

Aishwarya, with a sarcastic smile, remarked, Tomorrow is the wedding, and there's no happiness on anyone's face. Can a wedding even happen like this? When my son gets married, the entire city will light up in celebration."

As always, everyone ignored Aishwarya's taunts, and she left for her room with her husband following behind.

Sameer playfully quipped at Aryan, "Aryan, why do you look so serious about the wedding functions? Seems like you've become a bit too sentimental!"

Abhi joined in the banter, teasing Aryan, "Come on, Aryan bhai! You need to loosen up a bit. It's not every day that you see a Singhania getting hitched!"

Ignoring the banter, Aryan sat there in silence while the rest of the family enjoyed the light-hearted moments and jokes.

Disha, exhausted from the dance and enjoyment, had not woken up even though it was 11. Beside her, Kajal lay as if lifeless due to the extensive dancing the previous day.

Disha's mother, growing increasingly frustrated, called out to Disha from the kitchen multiple times, but when Disha still didn't wake up, she stormed upstairs into Disha's room. Seeing Disha still sleeping, her mother, furious, emptied a mug of water onto Disha's face.

Disha, lost in a profound slumber, found herself abruptly awakened by an unexpected cascade of water. In an instant, she stood upright on the bed, her eyes wide open in astonishment, as the room's tranquility shattered. Her mother's impromptu and humorous action had disrupted the peaceful atmosphere. Even Kajal, witnessing the amusing spectacle, couldn't contain her laughter and, in the midst of her mirth, tumbled off the bed, still holding her stomach from the hilarity. The room, once quiet, was now filled with laughter and the aftermath of a playful awakening.

Disha, with a pout on her face, questioned her mother, "Why did you splash water on me like that? I was tired, that's why I slept a little longer today."

Disha's mother replied, "Disha, beta, I've been calling you for a while now. We need to be at Singhania Mansion by 3 today, and before that, you also have to go to the parlour. Hurry up, both of you, get ready, and come for breakfast."

Disha, after showering, dressed in black jeans and a sky-blue top, paired with casual shoes and a black wristwatch. As she had plans to visit the parlour, she didn't bother blow-drying her slightly damp hair or applying any makeup. With just a touch of face cream, she joined her father at the breakfast table in the living room.

After having breakfast, Disha and Kajal headed to the parlour. In the midst of their journey, Disha and Kajal were engaged in conversation when, suddenly, they came to a halt as a black car abruptly stopped in front of them, taking them by surprise. The door of the car opened, and to their astonishment, Kunal stepped out, positioning himself before Disha.

With a solemn tone, Kunal uttered, "Disha, I need to talk to you."

Disha swiftly responded, "Whatever you have to say, say it here or step aside. I'm running out of time."

In a pleading manner, Kunal implored, "Disha, please let's talk privately. I've mustered the courage to come here. Don't treat me so harshly."

Disha maintained her firm stance, "Kunal, you were, are, and always will be a cherished friend. However, you must comprehend that what you seek from me is unattainable. When you require a friend, I'll stand by you, but anything beyond friendship is an expectation you must relinquish. Please, Kunal, move forward. Spare yourself the agony of hoping for more."

Concluding her statement, Disha firmly grasped Kajal's hand, proceeding to walk away without casting a backward glance, a twinge of remorse lingering for the sternness she had displayed towards Kunal.

Disha and Kajal arrived at the salon where Disha's mom had already briefed the salon professional about the desired services. Following the instructions, the hairstylist trimmed Disha's hair slightly and crafted an elegant bun hairstyle. Subsequently, after a session of manicure and pedicure, the salon professional added a subtle touch of nail art. Disha, preferring minimal makeup, requested a light application, and the stylist adhered to her preference. The final result left Kajal in awe as Disha appeared exceptionally beautiful, prompting her to burst into joyous excitement.

Kajal chuckled and remarked, "Today, Jiju won't stand a chance. Seeing you, he'll go crazy, and he might not even wait until tomorrow for the wedding. He might just whisk you away today."

Kajal continued teasingly, "I mean, look at you! You're stunning. Aryan jiju might not resist the temptation to elope right now. Get ready for a whirlwind romance before the wedding!"

Upon hearing Kajal's words, Disha smiled faintly, concealing the truth about her and Aryan's contractual marriage. Disha had confided in Kajal about Kunal, but she refrained from revealing the reality of her relationship with Aryan. She feared that Kajal might not support a marriage devoid of love and respect.

Following Disha, Kajal swiftly got her makeup done, and then both of them left the salon, taking a cab to reach home.

Singhania mansion buzzed with activity as preparations were in full swing. The entire mansion was adorned, and guests had already begun to arrive. The living room was beautifully decorated for the upcoming sangeet and mehendi ceremonies, featuring a splendid stage for the couple.

As Aryan meticulously adorned himself in a light purplish kurta pajama set chosen by his mother, he added an extra touch of sophistication with a matching jacket that perfectly complemented his traditional ensemble. Simultaneously, he engaged in the thoughtful task of selecting a fragrance from his impressive collection. Amidst this careful preparation, his room was unexpectedly invaded by Sameer, Abhi, and Ishaan, who seemed to have arrived with the intention of lightheartedly teasing Aryan and playfully disrupting his moment of getting ready.

Sameer, with a playful grin, said , "Aryan, your perfume selection is like the scent of success mixed with a hint of bachelorhood rebellion. Ready to conquer or still contemplating which fragrance will make the strongest statement?"

Abhi, with a laugh, said, "Bhai, in those TV ads, girls get attracted when guys use perfume. You don't actually believe that's true, do you?"

Aryan, smirking while applying perfume, said, "I don't need any perfume to attract girls. Now, get out of my room.

Abhi and Ishaan, noticing Aryan's angry expression, hastily fled from the room. Not before Abhi laughed and shouted, "Just wait till Bhabhi comes; then I'll complain about you."

Aryan turned towards Sameer and said, "Now, do you want me to give an invitation to leave the room. Get out."

Sameer, with a playful smile, approached Aryan. "What happened? Is there a problem? You're always in a bad mood. Come on, it's your wedding tomorrow. At least, smile for a while and forget about the everything else for a few days."

Aryan after getting ready joined Sameer in the bustling living room where all the guests had gathered, engrossed in conversations. Nita was delighted to see Aryan, and to ward off any evil eye, she discreetly applied kajal behind his ear. Raj, too, was immensely pleased to witness his son in traditional attire.

Raj expressed, "Aryan, tomorrow I will see you getting married, and nothing brings me greater joy than seeing you becoming the groom, my son. Truly, the happiness you've bestowed upon all of us by saying 'yes' to this marriage is beyond measure. We are all very happy for you. Always stay happy."

Moved by Raj's words, Nita couldn't hold back her tears. Her son had grown so fast. Trying to conceal her emotions, she smiled and said, "Raj, you get emotional at every little thing. Today is a day of joy. It's our son's sangeet. Let's not talk about emotions today."

Seeing his mother's teary eyes, Aryan stepped forward, embracing her and planting a kiss on her forehead.

Nita gestured to Aryan to seek blessings from grandpa and grandma. Aryan, in a gesture of deep respect, touched Nita and Raj's feet first, seeking their blessings, before proceeding to receive the blessings of the other elders.

Aryan couldn't help but find his eyes drawn repeatedly to the entrance. Deep down, an eagerness to catch a glimpse of Disha lingered within him, although he was reluctant to acknowledge this sentiment. Despite the lively ambiance of the gathering, a sense of restlessness and anticipation surrounded Aryan as he awaited Disha's arrival.
