As Disha hurriedly made her way out of the room, was rushing through the corridor when she accidentally collided with Vidyut. she stumbled, almost falling, but Vidyut quickly intervened, preventing her from hitting the floor. Gently steadying her, he inquired, "Are you okay? What's the rush Disha?"
Caught off guard and not recognising Vidyut, As they never formally met each other. Disha looked at him with confusion. Seeing her confused face, Vidyut smiled and introduced himself, saying, "I'm Aryan's cousin and Ishaan's elder brother."
Apologising for not having met before, Disha explained, "I'm sorry, bhai. I didn't recognise you. I hope you're not upset."
With a reassuring smile, Vidyut replied, "No need to be sorry. But why were you running like that?"
Realising she had been running away from Aryan, Disha blushed, as her mind replayed the bedroom incident, after trying to compose herself. She replied, "I was heading to the kitchen to prepare breakfast for everyone."
Vidyut smiled and replied, "Disha, there are servants to work in the house, and you shouldn't run away like this. If you slip accidentally, you could get hurt."
Disha appreciated Vidyut's caring words and said, "Bhai, I know there are servants at home, but I really enjoy cooking. If you want something to eat, let me know; I'll prepare it right away."
Before Vidyut could respond, Aryan, visibly furious, approached them in the corridor. Seeing Disha conversing with Vidyut, his possessive instincts kicked in. Aryan quickly moved to Disha's side, placing his hand firmly on her waist and pulling her closer. Aryan's right hand remained in his pocket, and his left hand maintained a protective hold on Disha.
The sudden touch startled Disha, and as she looked at Aryan, she noticed an unprecedented level of anger and hatred in his eyes. However, the intensity of his emotions wasn't directed at her; it was aimed at Vidyut. Before Disha could grasp the situation, Aryan, with a grip on her, led her towards the living, his hand still resting on her waist. Disha was blushing like a teenage girl, and her entire focus was on Aryan who had held her so close, making it difficult for her to grasp the gravity of the situation.
Entering the living room, Aryan observed the intimacy between them and, realising everyone was present, swiftly distanced himself from Disha. The sudden movement made her stumble, but she quickly regained her balance. Disha, now with an angry expression, walked over to stand beside Nita, the tension palpable in the room.
Nita warmly greeted Disha with a "Good morning, beta." Responding to Nita's greeting, Disha extended her wishes to everyone present.
As the group gathered around the dining table, Aryan and Vidyut took their seats, positioning themselves opposite each other. Aryan's visible irritation upon seeing Vidyut hinted at an underlying tension.
Amidst the silent dynamics, Disha recalled their interrupted conversation. Turning to Vidyut, she inquired, "Bhai, our talk was left incomplete. You didn't mention what you'd like to eat; I can prepare it right away."
Vidyut, wearing a smile but choosing not to respond, subtly acknowledged the delicate situation. He was aware that engaging in conversation with Disha in front of Aryan might provoke his displeasure.
Sameer, sensing the tension, redirected the conversation, asking her, "Disha, how is your foot doing?"
Confused, Disha looked at Sameer and replied, "Sameer bhai, there's nothing wrong with my foot."
Abhi chuckled and joined Sameer in jest, asking, "Oh, so you must have had a fever yesterday, for sure?"
Sitting with Aryan, Disha glanced at Abhi and questioned, "Abhi, why are you saying that? Why would I have a fever?"
Continuing his playful banter, Sameer said, "Well, maybe it wasn't a fever, but perhaps you felt a bit dizzy. Isn't that so?"
Disha was still puzzled, and with a pout, she looked at Sameer and Abhi then said, "Bhai, why are you both thinking such negative things about me? Nothing happened to me yesterday."
As Aryan noticed Disha's adorable pout, he found it charming and endearing. However, wary of being caught up in the moment, he promptly shifted his attention away from Disha and concentrated on his coffee.
Apart from Aryan and Disha, everyone else at the table understood the underlying meaning behind Sameer and Abhi's questions. A suppressed laughter resonated among them as they tried to contain their amusement.
Sameer continued, "Okay, tell me, Disha, if you didn't have an injury in your foot, no fever, and no dizziness, then why did Aryan carry you in his arms yesterday?"
Aryan, assuming Sameer and Abhi were teasing Disha, paid little attention until the mention of the previous night's incident. This revelation startled him, and a sudden shock caused Aryan to choke on his coffee. Trying to regain composure, he discreetly reached for a napkin to wipe away any signs of discomfort.
Upon hearing Sameer's remarks, Disha was initially taken aback, her mouth agape and eyes widening at the realization of how Sameer and Abhi came to know about the incident. Feeling everyone's gaze on her, Disha, embarrassed, shyly lowered her eyes, lacking the courage to look up. The antics of Aryan and Disha amused the family members, who had been suppressing their laughter until now, and now they burst into laughter at the unfolding scenario.
Aryan finished his coffee, got up to leave, and Disha wished to accompany him to his car. However, with everyone still seated, she hesitated. Noticing Disha's desire to leave, Nita gestured for her to go. Responding with a lovely smile, Disha swiftly walked toward Aryan, taking deliberate steps as Aryan had already made his way to the door.
Aryan sensed Disha was approaching, so he stopped just outside the main door. While Disha went outside, as soon as her eyes met Aryan's, she suddenly paused and began cautiously advancing towards him, taking slow and deliberate steps.
After standing in front of Aryan, Disha found herself unsure of what to say, so she stood there looking down at the ground.
Aryan inquired, "What happened?"
Disha shook her head slightly, indicating that nothing had occurred.
The two remained in a quiet stand-off, the tension in Disha's demeanor escalating under Aryan's gaze. She broke the silence with a hurried, "Come home early" Saying this, Disha swiftly retreated inside.
Seeing Disha rush away, a smile formed on Aryan's lips. He then headed towards his car, got in, and drove off to his office.
Disha's day passed in a lighthearted manner, engaging in conversations and banter with everyone. It was during these interactions that she learned Abhi had shared the events of the previous night with everyone. In a playful mood, she pulled Abhi's ear, who then playfully pretended to apologize to Disha. During the evening tea, all family members gathered together to enjoy a pleasant tea time, collectively contributing to the efforts to keep Disha happy in this new environment, and the day continued to unfold in a similar carefree fashion.
After an extended absence, Aryan finally returned to the office, finding himself immersed in work throughout the day. The pressing demands of his tasks left him with little time for anything else. Despite his earnest attempts, the workload persisted, refusing to be concluded before the stipulated time.
To compound matters, news arrived that Vidyut, would be joining the company in a mere two days. Aryan, harboring the wish for Vidyut to choose a different location for employment as they have multiple offices in the city, found his plans thwarted. His grandpa, however, had other ideas, directing Vidyut to join Aryan's office. This revelation only intensified Aryan's growing frustration and discontentment.
Nita repeatedly urged Disha to join for dinner, but Disha consistently declined, gently refusing Nita's invitations. Given the impossibility of having lunch together, Disha hoped for at least a shared dinner with Aryan. With these thoughts in mind, she anxiously awaited Aryan's return.
As the clock struck 9:30, everyone exchanged goodnight wishes and headed to their rooms. Disha, however, remained seated in the living room for an extended period, grappling with a sense of boredom or perhaps contemplation. After a while, she eventually decided to retire to her room, leaving the living space quiet and still.
As the clock struck 10, and then 11, there was still no sign of Aryan. Disha, perched on the edge of the bed, found herself in a state of anticipation, waiting eagerly for his return. The room, veiled in quietude, underscored the heightened sense of expectation and longing as minutes ticked away in the wait for Aryan.
After leaving the office, Aryan, fatigued from a day filled with work, settled into the back seat of his car. The demands of the day had left him with no time to glance at his phone, and at that moment, he had little interest in doing so. Recognising his weariness, he chose to unwind, understanding that a restful sleep was all he needed.
Upon his arrival home, a pervasive calm signaled that everyone had retired for the night. As he navigated through the tranquility, he headed to his room. Upon entering, he noticed Disha peacefully resting on the bed. Opting to freshen up, Aryan made his way to the bathroom, leaving the room in quiet repose.
