Chapter 30 - Chapter 30

In the gym, Aryan was venting out his anger, unaware that Disha had overheard everything. After a while, he returned to the room and headed for a shower.

As the sound of the bathroom doorknob reached Disha's ears, she understood that Aryan had entered. Swiftly, she emerged from the closet, wiping away any signs of tears from her face. She quietly left the room and walked toward the living room, hesitant to ask Aryan any questions, afraid that his answers might inflict more pain.

Disha, with a heavy heart, entered the living room where Vidyut greeted her with a "good morning." However, her response was limited to a silent nod. The recent confrontation between Aryan and Vidyut, revealing possible betrayal, had left Disha wary of any friendly interaction. Despite Vidyut sensing the unusual behavior from Disha, he chose not to dwell on it too much.

Aryan, deeply absorbed in his thoughts, joined the dining table, mechanically sipping his coffee. Unlike usual, his focus wasn't on his mobile; instead, his gaze kept returning to Disha, who was calmly having her breakfast. Aryan extended his hand beneath the table, gently grasping Disha's hand, leaving her taken aback. When Aryan sought an explanation with his eyes, Disha responded by shaking her head subtly. She tactfully withdrew her hand from Aryan's grasp, conveying a blend of emotions.

Aryan found it peculiar as Disha wasn't engaging in conversation or even looking at him. After finishing his coffee, he prepared to leave for the office. Waiting by the main door, Aryan was known for his punctuality and disliked waiting for anyone. Despite waiting for a considerable time for Disha, she didn't appear. Frustrated, Aryan turned towards his car, got in, and drove off, visibly upset.

Back at Singhania Mansion, preparations resumed, and with the final touches added, everyone retired to their rooms after lunch, eagerly anticipating the upcoming party.

The evening had unfolded with the party vibes spreading throughout Singhania Mansion, and all the family members were ready and gathered. Aryan, having just arrived from the office, went straight to his room to get ready.

The guests had started arriving, and Disha's parents had also arrived. As all the family members were busy welcoming the guests.

Disha, standing on the balcony, observed Aryan entering the room. Aryan, unaware of Disha's presence, directly went to the bathroom for quick shower, assuming that Disha might have gone to the party downstairs.

Disha delicately emerged from the balcony, entered the room, and positioned herself in front of the mirror.

Disha's black off-shoulder dress was not only stylish but also accentuated by its full sleeves and mid-thigh slit, adding a touch of glamour. Her makeup was meticulously done, with smoky eyes drawing attention and a subtle application of blush to complement the nude lipstick. The addition of sindoor and mangalsutra added a beautiful traditional touch to Disha's overall look, enhancing her beauty further. Despite the hot and stylish outfit, these traditional elements contributed to making her not only attractive but also radiantly charming, she managed to strike a lovely balance between modern fashion and traditional elegance.

Disha, after checking herself in the mirror, took a moment to ensure she looked presentable. Satisfied with her appearance, she gracefully descended the stairs, ready to join the party downstairs.

As Disha descended the stairs, she met her parents and engaged in a chat with family members, who started showering her with compliments. Just then, Aditi, Vishal, and Vikram arrived at the main door, prompting Disha to greet them and join the welcoming festivities.

Disha, engrossed in the introduction and greetings, was taken aback when she noticed Kunal standing beside Vikram. A mix of joy and worry crossed her face, as the happiness of meeting Kunal was shadowed by the concern about Aryan's potential reaction upon seeing him.

Kunal, who was captivated by Disha's beauty, momentarily lost himself in admiration. Without considering his surroundings, he expressed, "Disha, you look incredibly beautiful."

Disha responded awkwardly, saying, "Thank you."

Kunal deliberately requested Disha in front of their friends to talk privately, knowing that Disha wouldn't be able to refuse in front of everyone. All the friends headed inside, where the guests were enjoying the party atmosphere. Disha, with Kunal in tow, walked towards the garden, making their way outside through the main door.

Disha, upon reaching the garden, questioned Kunal, "Kunal, why did you come here? You shouldn't have."

Kunal, affected by Disha's words, responded, "I needed to talk to you, Disha. You don't respond to my calls or messages. Coming here was the only option I had to meet you."

Disha, listening to Kunal, said, "I want you to move on, Kunal."

Kunal pleaded, "Disha, don't end our long-standing friendship like this. Please don't ignore me like this."

Back in the room, Aryan, having prepared himself for the party, made his way downstairs. Upon reaching the main gathering area, he greeted Disha's parents. Observing Disha's absence, he inquired to Abhi, "Have you seen Disha around?"

Abhi said, "No, bhai, I haven't seen Bhabhi yet."

Upon hearing Aryan's question, Aditi who was standing beside Abhi, replied, "Aryan Jiju, Disha has gone outside towards the garden."

As Aditi continued, mentioning "with Kunal," Aryan interrupted, expressing his gratitude, "Thank you," and swiftly headed towards the garden.

In the garden, where Disha and Kunal were having a conversation, Disha responded to Kunal, "Kunal, I am not ending our friendship; I just want you to be happy."

Kunal, looking down, replied, "Disha, my happiness lies in you."

Before Disha could say anything more, Aryan arrived, swiftly moved Disha aside, grabbed Kunal by the collar, and raised his fist, ready to punch.

Disha, maintaining her composure, swiftly intercepted Aryan's hand, preventing him from landing a punch on Kunal. She released Kunal from Aryan's grip and positioned herself between the two, acting as a barrier to diffuse the situation and prevent any further altercation.

Aryan, infuriated by Disha's defense of Kunal, tightly grasped her hand and questioned, "What are you doing here? Defending him? And standing in front of me to protect him, what does he mean to you? A lover?"

Hurt by Aryan's words, Disha felt a deep pain, thinking that some understanding had developed between them over these days. However, hearing such accusations directly from Aryan made her angry. The memories of confrontation between Aryan and Vidyut regarding Payal from the morning also added to Disha's emotional turmoil.

Disha, her anger apparent, sternly addressed Aryan, "Mind your words, Aryan. I've said it before, Kunal is just a friend to me."

Aryan, tightening his grip on Disha's hand in anger, said, "Friend, huh? Then what are you doing here? All your friends are inside, so what's so special about him? And what conversation couldn't you have inside that you needed to be out here?"

In response to Aryan's questioning, Disha, fueled by her anger, asserted, "He's my friend. I can talk to him wherever I want. What's it to you?"

Aryan, expressing his anger, said, "Disha tell your friend to leave right now, or if I lose my temper, he won't be able to leave on his own."

Kunal, who had been quietly observing the situation, his eyes landed on Disha's hand which was tightly held by Aryan. Kunal tried to intervene by attempting to free Disha from Aryan's grip. Aryan, angered by Kunal's interference, forcefully pushed him, causing Kunal to stumble and fall.

As Disha witnessed Kunal's fall, she forcefully pulled Aryan's hand away from her and promptly assisted Kunal in getting back on his feet.

Disha's caring gesture towards Kunal ignited Aryan's anger. In his fury, he seized Disha's hand and forcefully pulled her towards the mansion's main door. Sensing the need to avoid a public scene, Disha swiftly released her hand with a jerk and stood firm.

Aryan, infuriated, snapped, "Disha, come inside with me!"

In her angered response, Disha firmly stated, "You go. I need some time alone."

Aryan, casting an angry glance at Kunal, who stood a little distance away, turned back to Disha and said, "Why? You still want to spend time with him?"

Aryan's voice echoed with nothing but disgust and resentment, sentiments clearly mirrored in his eyes.

Disha glared at Aryan in anger and retorted, "Whether I talk to him or not is none of your business, Mr. Singhania."

Both of them were beyond the point of reconciliation, and neither was willing to back down.

As tempers flared, Aryan took determined steps towards Disha, emphasizing, "We're married now. Every aspect related to you is my concern."

Disha remained steadfast, meeting Aryan's intense gaze, and retorted, "Concern, huh?"

Aryan, clenching his teeth in anger, glared at Kunal and said, "I'm talking to my wife, so just get lost from here and do not come near my wife ever again."

Kunal, remaining calm so far to avoid troubling Disha, couldn't contain his anger after Aryan's words. Nevertheless, he composed himself and said, "Mr. Singhania, I am here to meet my friend. I will leave only if she asks me to."

Disha could have asked Kunal to leave, but doing so would have been hurtful and insulting to Kunal. Disha had already rejected and ignored Kunal before, causing him a lot of pain.

Disha turned back to where Kunal stood and said, "Kunal, you go."

After listening to Disha's words, Kunal felt deeply hurt, and Aryan wore a smirk on his face.

Disha turned back towards Aryan with a smirk and said, "Kunal, you leave from here, but stay in the party. I'll join in a while."

Kunal felt relief after hearing Disha's words. As Kunal walked back inside, Disha turned towards Aryan, and the smirk that had adorned Aryan's face vanished. The increasing anger on Aryan's face was evident as he processed Disha's response.

Aryan, glaring at Disha with anger and hold her hand tightly and exclaimed, "What is this, Disha? How many times have I told you to stay away from him?"

Disha, equally infuriated, retorted, "I guess you had some pretty high expectations from me, just like I had from you."

Aryan's anger escalated with each passing moment. He tightened his grip on Disha's hand and said, "Yes, you're right. Maybe I had too many expectations from you. Well, luckily, you shattered my illusions pretty quickly."

Every word from Aryan felt like a direct stab to Disha's heart, and she added, "Believe whatever suits you, Mr. Singhania."

Disha, deeply disturbed by the ongoing conflict, withdrew her hand from Aryan's grip and headed towards the mansion. Aryan, simmering with anger, watched her departure with fiery intensity.
